Finding and listing a commercial venue just got easier!

A new venture has started and it will help businesses and residents spend less time searching the vast array of options for shopping, entertainment and business rentals and more time focusing on their business at hand.  Due to a vast amount of unorganized information, more and more people are spending far too much time searching for available commercial locations to rent.  These commercial locations include shops, stores, parks, non profit, education and celebrations including weddings and parties.  No land sales or rental advertising.

This is where Space for Rent comes in.  We help by providing the avenue to list commercial locations available to rent.

When you list with Space for Rent, your get the following benefits for your hard earned time and money:

1.  ability to add a company landmark, logo and notecard
2.  include social media links including a company website, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter links
3.  take a hud from the menu options, add it to yourself and connect to your ad directly so you can update, turn availability on/off and extend or terminate your ad from the comfort of your home or where ever you are at.
4.  have your logo and slurl posted on the Space for Rent website

An extra membership availability is for those that wish to post rental lists to Space for Rent Group Members.  Three (3) posts for day and must not contain information on land sales or rentals or adult material, of any kind.  Please contact Angelina Solano for further information.

Come by today and gain some peace of mind.  Save your time, your money and get back to Second Life.

GeekSpeak – Venus Project, future paradise or total fantasy? Join the Discussion Saturday July 15th at 12pm SLT

Does the Venus Project have any merit?  Is a resource based economy possible?  Jacque Fresco dreamed of a world in which all goods and services would be available to everyone who needed them, a world without money or credit.

Some say that if our current system collapses Fresco’s dream is the only alternative.  Do you agree?  Can you see other alternatives?

Is it possible for a resource based economy to be maintained without a dictatorship?  Is it a recipe for an Orwellian nightmare world?  Is human nature compatible with such a system or will humans, if free, naturally rebel against it?  Is a resource based economy even possible?  How would it work?

Join us in GeekSpeak if you want to know if your future job will pay you in dollars or gold or chewing gum or if you will find yourself working for nothing.

Hip Hop Clubs In Second Life- Camury Reporting...

Hip Hop is a popular culture that emerged among the Caribbean, African-American and Latin American communities of the New York suburbs of the 1970s. The social context was violence and crime in these neighborhoods, and the only form of leisure possible for young people was on the streets. They found in music, poetry, dance and painting a form of manifestation of their reality and contestation.

Music is the main artistic manifestation of hip hop, which also has in dance and graphite strong representation. From the United States, hip hop culture has spread throughout the world.

Hip hop has four main elements: Rap, DJing, Breaking (practiced by b-boys and b-girls) and the art of graphite.

When hip hop emerged, it focused on disc jockeys that created rhythmic beats and were short stretches of music with an emphasis on repetition. Subsequently, these rhythmic beats were accompanied by rap, identified as a musical style of rhythm and poetry, along with improvised dances, such as breakdance, popping and locking.

The relationship between graffiti and hip hop emerged when new forms of painting were being performed in areas where rap, dj and dance were practiced.

Gradually hip hop has gained space in the clubs. The doubles DJs and MCs still gain prominence and compete with each other, the battles of rap, made only by the cultural manifestation and without connotation of violence. Graffiti on the walls remains the expression of painting in hip hop culture, and break is the dance that went out from the streets to parties all over the cities.
