All in the golden afternoon
Full leisurely we glide;
For both our oars, with little skill,
By little arms are plied,
While little hands make vain pretense
Our wanderings to guide. . .
Thus grew the tale of Wonderland:
Thus slowly, one by one,
Its quaint events were hammered out--
And now the tale is done,
And home we steer, a merry crew,
Beneath the setting sun.
Alice! a childish story take,
And with a gentle hand
Lay it where Childhood's dreams are twined
In Memory's mystic band,
Like pilgrim's withered wreath of flowers
Plucked in a far-off land.
Full leisurely we glide;
For both our oars, with little skill,
By little arms are plied,
While little hands make vain pretense
Our wanderings to guide. . .
Thus grew the tale of Wonderland:
Thus slowly, one by one,

Lizzo Dreamscape is one of the best Events Coordinators in the Virtual World. This is not a subjective opinion, this is fact. Lizzo manages events for the Fruit Islands – an estate with 115 sims and the biggest private sea in SL. There are more than 40 public sims to enjoy in the estate: diving, golf, horseback riding or surfing. It is a handful for the most talented events manager with daily events, like concerts, sailing lessons, ballet, art expos and film festivals. Only someone with Ms. Dreamscapes skill and talent could manage a schedule this bold and weave together a Wonderland themed weekend chocked full of diverse activities: Literature, Music, Dance, Art.

SL ARTS & LITERATURE: “Alice’s Restaurant Massacree” an SL Holiday Tradition
Monday, November 22, 2010
Alice's Restaurant, Caledonia Skytower, Guthrie, November 2010, Seanchai Library, Shandon Loring

Traditions are a funny thing, especially holiday traditions. You never know quite how a tradition starts, how it perpetuates itself, and who might share that same tradition with you. In November 2008, as the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday approached, Shandon Loring had a wild idea to present folksinger Arlo Guthrie’s Alice's Restaurant Massacree on Thanksgiving Day in Second Life. With no expectations of a large audience, Loring prepared Guthrie’s 20 minute song/monologue/political riff complete with a replica of the church described in the song, and sent out a few notices. Many fans of Arlo Guthrie consider Alice's Restaurant … a “must hear” part of the American turkey-full holiday. That first year the Library was over three-quarters full, inspiring annual encore presentations including this year’s presentation on Wednesday, November 24th at 7pm SLT at the Seanchai Library at Info Island International. Like all presentations at Seanchai, this one benefits charity: donations will be accepted for War Child North America.
