PLACES FOR HIGH QUALITY HAIR IN SL- Camury Reporting...

What is the ideal hair for you? What is your hairstyle? Do you prefer a basic or a sophisticated style?

In Second Life you can find a huge variety of hair types, mesh or flexi  mesh hair, for those who enjoy some movement.

* The Truth * Store is one of many traditional hair shops in SL. Inside it, you can find a huge variety of hair styles, for 250 L. The shop also features a room with a great variety of hair for 50 Lindens for each color package.

There are long, short, curly hairdos with different colors to suit all tastes and styles.

The *Agrace* store is a very fashionable brand in the virtual world of Second Life. In the store, you will find high quality and beautiful hair caps (I love the cowboy hat at Argrace). The price of the color pack is 250 lindens. The store also offers, as a group gift, a beautiful short hair, for him and her (the group is free to join).

Some girls in SL are innovative in wearing short hair. Famous muses of real life, as Sophie Charlotte, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence, for example, also inspire the fashion trend, for some girls in SL with their short hair called * pixie cut * and * Bob * (at the high of the ears).

The Dura shop produces original hair in SL. At this shop, you will find beautiful unisex hair. You can also choose your favorite color, paying 100-130 lindens.

However, most of the SL girls prefer longer length, * Rapunzel * style hairdos. Medium and long hair, with a beautiful diagonal fringe, (hello, Kim Kardashian), are the most desirable.

The * Catwa * Store has the most beautiful and unique hairstyles. In their hair pack, you will find two different sizes according to your breast size as well as the color changing HUD. You don’t need to a sandbox, simply left click it, and it goes to your inventory. Prices start at 250 lindens.

The Exile Store has high quality hair which range in up to 90 different colors to fit most avatars – whether they’re a mermaid, a fashionista, an elf or whatever your imagination desires. The color pack price is 280 lindens.

And if you're already thinking about the future, we anticipate the trends of hair styles for 2016.

Depending on the hairstylists in RL, variations of short haircuts, *bob hair* style  with at chin-length, are leading by far among the favorites for next year.

Check out the hair trends for 2016:
Long hair: they remain in line with the breasts and have a fringe at chin with a gently undulating texture. The very basic avatars must avoid not having their flat silhouette.
Medium size: The length should be four fingers above the bust. This style is not suitable for avatars with short necks or round faces. Another option is investing the classic channel, at the height of the neck, and is ideal for avatars with thin and delicate faces.
Short hair: style "pixie cut" with an irregular fringe, layered and falling over his forehead defines short hair for 2016. For short hair, one should lengthen the silhouette of short or chubby avatars.

If you do not have many lindens to buy a hair, go for to group gifts. The Shop “Entwined” offers as a group gift of beautiful hair for the girls (the group is free to join). Choose your hairstyle and have fun!

Fashion-Crazy for Hair-Becca Drascol Reporting

When we think fashion, we think outfits, shoes, boots and the like. Some people tend to change and buy outfits often, as a passion, perhaps even an addiction. I know I for one am a shoes and boots fanatic. And it becomes easy to be crazy for hair when in Second life we can change hair style, color and even the cut by simply a click of a button in our inventory, or simply buying something new. In real life we can't dye our hair from blonde to deep red and back to blonde in just minutes...but in SL we can do whatever we wish with our hair as long as someone in our world creates it. As SL grows and creators do too, new HUDS make it possible to have even the wildest of looks. From black hair with purple streaks, to blue hair with a pink tipped ponytail all done with just one HUD sometimes.
With easy ways to constantly change up your "do," Second Life not only makes hair fashion fun but also simple  for even a beginner. One can so easily become a hair fanatic for many reasons. And with all the possibilities, I decided to ask residents some fun hair questions.

How often do you change hair?(not buy a new one but how often do you change one style to another from inventory)

VividDreamz Resident: Once per two weeks. I love changing it up with each outfit or every other outfit! Every hairstyle tells my mood and style that day or week.

Havenly1 Resident: Maybe twice a week, depending the outfit.

How often do you buy new hair?

VividDreamz Resident: Not very often maybe once a month because when I do buy hair I tend to buy more than one style or color.

Havenly1 Resident: Every 2 months maybe if I see something I like.

Do you prefer wild hair such as wild colors and looks? Or more glam or reserved looks?

VividDreamz Resident: Slightly all the above because some outfits are wild, some are classy., some are revealing which I like to wear something more glamorous. As I stated above each style defines my mood and style that day or week, depending on outfit.

Havenly1 Resident: Hmm I prefer more Glam looks or Reserved, but also like to go wild depending on what I’m doing :)
Havenly1 Resident: Hard question lol.

About how much do you usually spend on a new hair? Do you buy one color or fatpacks?

VividDreamz Resident: L$200 to L$400 is about the range I spend.I buy one color but in separate packs because the fatpacks tend to run higher in price than buying them individually  when I dont want fatpacks, but if I end up buying a fatpack it could range more higher priced like L$800 or more then L$1.2K.

Havenly1 Resident: One color and around 100 - 250

Do you change your hair to fit the occasion? For an event?

VividDreamz Resident: I tend to change my hair depending on color of my outfit or style of my outfit. Unless event is wild hair or something to do with hair is the only time I change it for an event. But also for a wedding I would change it for that occasion to something more classy or an updo!

Havenly1 Resident: Because I stay blonde, except one nice long red hair one I stay the most in one color.

Hair Fanatic or just hair fun…

Rather you’re a fanatic or just have fun changing styles or only change as Second Life grows and changes with the times, I think hair can be fun, crazy, bright, wild, glam or reserved. I firmly believe hair is a part of fashion especially in SL because we can freely change it on a whim to fit our needs and or wants. Unlike real life where a bad haircut has to grow back, with SL one is free to simply delete bad hair and pick a new one. Are you hair crazy? A fanatic? Or is hair just a fun part of your sense of fashion and style? I think rather you change hair every outfit or linger with one color and style for months on end, we all love hair.

Spring is right around the corner and it is time to sort through your wardrobe and do some spring cleaning. With all the lovely outfits and accessories that come in and out of style it can be hard to choose what is a must and what is not.

Here are a few of my must haves and may be later items for Spring.
I am hearing that orange is the new black for this spring and as you know it is a must to have one little black dress in your wardrobe. So my first suggestion is to have at least something orange in your wardrobe this spring.
I found this lovely mini dress which can be worn with jeans and boots for casual look, black pants for the dresser look again with pumps, heels or even boots or simply with no bottoms at all and just boots. Accessorised with a belt around the hips and a long necklace. The list is endless how you can accessories this orange jumper.

What to Wear by the Avatars of Second Life- Tea Couturier Reporting..

In Second Life we can easily see what avatars like to wear but to actually know what they are actually wearing in SL you have to ask them.

So that is what I did. I hopped around different sims across the grid looking at what people wore and asking them what stores they love to shop at.

Hair Issues in Second Life – Stareyes Galaxy Reporting...

Hair is an issue for all avatars. We scratch our heads trying to find the perfect hair for different occasions, often rummaging in our inventories and coming up with nothing that fits the theme. For avatars with recurring hair woes, how do hair designers cater to their needs? How are the seemingly contradicting expectations with regard to style, colors, naturalness, and compatibility with clothes and the social occasion met by designers? I went hair shopping to find out.

Before going blindly about the grid, poking my head in stores, standing on model stands, tweaking prims, and changing colors and outfits, I asked the “Fabulously Free in SL” group about their favorite hair stores. There were many that deserve mention, but Truth, Elikatira (formerly ETD), ChiChickie, BiZaRRe HaiR, and Alli & Ali were mentioned more than once. Truth is most famous for their mesh hair designs, and as I happened to wear Truth hair, I decided to concentrate on some other stores to explore their offering.

FASHION: Pimp Your Avatar - Pandora Drezelan Reporting...

Creating Your Second Life Avatar

When you first sign up for Second Life you will have a choice of standard avatars to choose from. Let’s assume that you choose a human avatar and then go on to entering the virtual world of Second Life.
Your ‘virtual you’ will be very basic and NOOBY to begin with and it is up to you to make your avatar look the way you want it to and to improve it’s style therefore making it unique.
I have seen many avatars in Second Life who despite the fact that they are years older than me still have a NOOBY appearance and clearly have done little or nothing to improve the appearance of their avatar.
Personally it doesn’t bother me if someone wants to live their entire Second Life as a NOOB however this is my set of guidelines of changes that people can make to their avatar if they wish to.
Not everyone can afford to spend real life money in Second Life and I will address that also for those of you who need a few freebies.

LIKE OMG A MAKEOVER! ~Lanai Jarrico Reporting…

I recently underwent a complete Avatar transformation courtesy of Ivy Maverick CEO of Maverick Designs and the Prince of Second Life (Yes, there is one in SL) and I have to say, like most peeps, I’m uncomfortable with drastic changes  but my post make over recovery time was painless and the experience  was a lot of fun. Together they truly collaborated and created the virtual me, in an Avatar.
