An Interview With Dahriel Nova, Pose Creator - Stacey Cardalines Reporting

Models occupy an elite spot in the human spectrum. As people used for advertising, they enter into a strange dynamism. Models help sell us stuff that we buy because we want to be a certain kind of person, and- thusly- models have to somehow become the person that we want to be. Anyone who says a model's work is easy knows not of what they speak. In order to do the job properly, they have to not only act as Gods, they have to at least externally believe that they are Gods.

On something like SL, even a God needs help. That leads us to this week's interview, with Dahriel Nova. Mr. Nova is the man behind PosESioN Productions and the PosESioN store. He makes and sells model poses and runway animations. He also owns and operates BOOTHology, which makes booths for designers. If you are a model or a designer, he has you covered.

Models are important to the SL economy. Much of the monetary activity on SL involves buying clothes. It is better for the business to have a model wearing their clothing in advertisements than it is to just show a picture of the clothing. The model shows what can be done with the clothing. Anyone who does even a little bit of clothes shopping has seen a picture of a model in action and has concurrently seen a small cog in a big engine that drives the SL economy.

While a great part of modeling is being Born Pretty, it is not the sole ingredient. The world is full of pretty girls who don't quite know-how to utilize what they are sitting on, and that is why you sometimes see them folding sweaters at Forever 21 or slinging eggs at some edge-of-town truck stop. Ansel Adams himself might take a pretty girl and have her sit for some headshots, but unless the girl knows what she's doing, he's never going to rise above cheesy Facebook-type pictures.

"Knows what she's doing" involves Posing. Posing is an important business in SL. If you have an AO, and even if you don't, you are Posing. Posing is emoting without words. It is more important than you'd think.

Almost any girl you see in pornography- with some Born Freak exceptions, of course- is someone who most likely aimed to be a real actress at one point, but who could not emote properly. It really can be a game of inches. You'd be surprised at how little skill exists between a girl blowing a kiss to the Vogue photographer for $300,000 on a South Seas photo shoot, and an alternative scenario where she is taking on a half dozen Hell's Angels in an adult movie for $300 and some cocaine.. or so people tell me. "From the sublime to the ridiculous is but a step," as Napoleon once said.

Fortunately, you can solve that equation in your favor by visiting the PosESioN Store. If you wish to be a model on SL, this is where you need to go. They have hundreds of poses, some simple, some extravagant, but all necessary. They even sell those catwalk animations where you head down the runway. My sister and I spent an afternoon trying these out, as you can see from the pictures in the article. We also got to speak with the sim owner, the aforementioned Mr. Nova.

He has been in business since 2012, and is one of the leading figures in his field. There may be no model worth walking around SL who doesn't have at least a few of his poses in their arsenal. A lot of model work is done with pose balls and huds, and to work those, they need poses. Lots of poses. Lots of poses are what PosESioN has. You could fill up a model hud very efficiently at PosESioN, and you won't go into the poorhouse doing so at 60 Ls a pop.

I forgot to ask why Mr. Nova spells PosESioN like that, but a little bit of mystery is good in certain niche markets.

Pose Creator is a fascinating job, and I am 100% certain that people use Mr. Nova's poses at the fashion show he attends without knowing that they are posing. That may or may not secretly delight him. Contrary to what I assumed, most of his friends aren't models. He uses his own shapes for models unless he is doing couples poses, so he would only cross paths with them at events. He is working on a fashion fair for May, so he (and you, if you go) might meet some models there. They also have an in-house fashion show on April 17th.

When Mr. Nova does hire models, he is not beholden to tall/slim types. He needs models of all sizes and has some people who do headhunting for him. I intend to interview one of these women for a future article, but that is not where we are right now.

His best selling pose is his default pose. He doesn't do huds, but his systems fit huds. Almost all of his customers are models, as the product is made for advertising and runways. He has a male model pose section, as male models are in as much demand as female models... but I went there to shoot pictures with my sister Courtney, so you get us.

I always wanted to be a model when I was a kid. I only ended up being 5 feet tall, and that sort of ended my supermodel fantasy. It also ended my WNBA fantasy, but I can't avoid that reality in Mr, Nova's store for a pleasant hour. I can play Model there all day, however. If I buy some poses, I can play at home, too.

I'd recommend this store to a model looking to add to her arsenal, and I would recommend the store to regular girls who just want to spend an hour playing with the poses. It is essential to a model. however.

Bookmark their website to get updates on deals they are offering, and join their SL groups!

Some April-May events you can visit that are associated with Mr. Nova:

The Darkness Event (5th to 28th)
Jail Event (10th to 30th)
XXX Original Event (13th to 3rd)
101L Event (19th to 13th)

PLAYDOLLS: THIS AIN’T YOUR DADDY’S GENTLEMAN’S MAGAZINE – JOSH (THOMAS1 BELLIC) REPORTING

I love my work as a Reporter for SL Enquirer.  I get to travel to places I might never visit otherwise, and I get to help introduce our readers to some of the more interesting aspects of life on the grid.  Some assignments are more challenging than others.  This week we take a look at Playdolls Magazine and the Playdolls Organization.  It meant going to parties, touring the compound, interviewing some of the grid’s most gorgeous residents – Yes…a tough assignment, I know, but SOMEBODY had to do it!  I never would have dreamed, as a 14-year-old adolescent, umm…” admiring” my Dad’s Playboy magazine (for the articles, of course) …that I would one day get to interview the proprietors of the modern-day equivalent:  Playdolls.

In the course of this assignment, I had the pleasure of being shown around the Playdoll’s campus by Playdolls General Manager and 2021 PlayDoll of the Year, (Silky) Cari Soulstar.  She introduced me to Chief Executive Officer Brea Brianna, 2016 PlayDoll of the Year, as well as Miss November 2018, Gilly O’Connor, and Miss February 2021 Liz Bergamasco.  They were all gracious enough to answer my questions.

Josh (Thomas1 Bellic) (JB):  Tell me, Silky?  How did Playdolls get started?

Silky Soulstar (SS):  Playdolls was founded by Tazzy Jenkins and a couple of partners in SL in 2007.  She passed away suddenly in 2018, but it was her consistency and kind demeanor that gave the group its longevity.

JB:  How is Playdolls Magazine different from the other gentlemen’s magazines on the Grid today?

SS:  Playdolls differentiates itself in that it has been around for so long, since 2007. It is the authentic men's interest periodical in SL, and has won six SL awards over that time. The periodical itself limits modeling to pinups and includes creative writing and artistic representation. The periodical is also a popular publication for our sponsors to market their businesses. As technology improves in SL, and other advancements are made, you can also see those same evolutions in the Playdolls Periodical. The longevity and consistency of the periodical makes it the reader’s choice and attracts modeling talent because people trust that we have lasting power.

JB:  What makes the Playdolls campus different from other adult sims out there?

SS:  The campus includes two buildings that our founder rezzed in their original location.   We also have Tazzy's memorial on-premises.  There is an outdoor dance club with a pool, and our company headquarters.  One of Tazzy's buildings is the dormitory for our models.  The other is our Mansion which includes gathering spaces with activities.  None of the furniture on the premises is adult rated:  All poses are PG. We believe the social dynamic between the sexes is enough to attract a more rewarding interaction, as opposed to open sex sims.  Playdolls has never really been about sex, or adult-rated content other than our pinups who pose nude in the periodical.  Think of the models as the modern equivalent of the socially engaging flapper girls from the 20's!  The social gatherings that the sim facilitates help support the sim and the magazine. People tend to support one another when they are together!

JB:  Tell me about your VIPs.  What makes these folks so special, and what are the advantages of VIP Membership?

SS:  VIPs are our lifeblood. It's so important to have a vibrant and socially active following to support the periodical and models. We do the magazine for everyone's enjoyment... the ladies love modeling, our writers love writing... and our VIPs love reading all of the content. We also all genuinely love each other's company.  We have a good time role playing, chatting, or just playing social games like pool, darts, greedy, chess, backgammon, or whatever! We also love to dance and listen to good music together. The VIPs gain the company of the ladies of Playdolls in a rewarding, unpretentious social setting. The staff has been tipped, but it's not expected at all. Services are not for hire at Playdolls nor will they ever be.  VIPs are there at Playdoll's for no fuss and just for their enjoyment, no strings attached.

JB:  What does it take to become a Playdoll?

Liz Bergamasco (LB):  Before you decide to become a Playdoll you need to be sure you know yourself very well and know you have the characteristics needed to be a good Playdoll.  You need to be self-assured, socially committed and most importantly, you need to have a true and honest heart so you can really support and care about the VIPs and other ladies.  You need to go through an interview to become a Playdolls contestant after which you garner votes, 10L at a time, from your family, friends, and everyone else willing to do you a favor. The contestant with the most votes will become a Playdoll.

Gilly O’Connor (GO):  In a way, it is a popularity contest BUT, it is all up to the model/contestant to promote herself. She can do that by visiting the Mansion and chatting and getting to know other Playdolls and guests. Additionally, you need to promote yourself in other groups and among family and friends. It is helpful, though not a requirement, to be current with a mesh body and head.

JB:  Why would someone want to be a Playdoll?

LB:  When I became a dancer, I loved the aspect that you can make people happy by what you are doing and also the fact that you are part of a social group.  I am a lady with social graces who loves to take care of people.  As a Playdoll I can use these natural talents. I absolutely love the strong connection between the gorgeous ladies of the sorority and I feel honored to be part of it.  I enjoy giving men the attention they need.  To be a listening ear for them and make them feel appreciated is a real pleasure for me.

GO:  I was searching for my niche in SL that would give me something to be a part of to bring me out of my shell. I came across Playdolls at a motorcycle rally where they had a promotional stand. I visited and here I am now! *smiles*

JB:  What are the advantages or responsibilities of being a Playdoll?

LB:  As a Playdoll you are not just a model.  You represent our community.  You wear your title with pride and dignity. One of the advantages of making it as Playdoll is the wonderful chance you get to shine and sparkle on the cover as well as on a bunch of pages in our precious magazine.  You are not just a model for a month.  Once you win the voting, you will become a Playdoll's model for life.  There will be opportunities to have more Photoshoots and you will be on the Playdoll's Annual Calendar.

GO:  I think the biggest advantage, especially here lately, is the bond and sisterhood we have. For our active Playdolls we have our dormitory where we get an apartment. We have areas within the dormitory where we lounge and hang out together when we have downtime. I love planning our outfits each month for our themed pictorials for the magazine.

SS:  Playdolls models take on the responsibility of being stewardesses of the Playdolls brand so that it can continue.  The benefits to being a model with Playdolls is that the model gets to be featured in one of SLs longest-running periodicals.  How cool is that! Our models also get a two-room suite to decorate to their liking on campus.

JB:  How is the Playdoll of the Year selected?  What is that process like?

LB:  Every active Playdoll of the Month will automatically be entered into the yearly contest.  There is a contest board where people can vote for you as often as they want.  The one with the most success will become Playdoll of the Year.  She gets the honor to be one of the few lucky ones to be an ambassador of Playdolls.

SS:  The winning PDOY then takes up the honor of being a prominent ambassador to the Playdolls brand.  If the PDOY cannot serve for any reason, the runner up became the next girl up! Hopefully going forward things will become more stable in the future.

JB:  Where would you like to take Playdolls?  What is the “Big Picture” here?

SS:  We will continue to refine the periodical, and take that art form as far as it can possibly go... taking advantage of new advancements and technologies as SL evolves. We want exquisite photography, and enticing journalism and entertainment for our readers.  We want to collaborate, and give notice to all the fabulous content creators in SL. We hope to connect with the wider SL grid socially and expand our network so that we collaborate with a diverse group of VIPs and contributors. We really would like more diversity too, so we are casting a wide net to welcome everyone and be very inclusive (within reason to the adult human form factor of course).

A letter from the CEO, Brea Briana

Playdolls is not only a magazine, it is a culture built on dreams. We all join SL to refine our lives and accomplish things that may not be attainable in real life. What we offer is a chance for normal girls in SL to wear our tag with pride, build confidence, and feel wonderful about themselves. This culture, if embraced, can change your SL life forever. And with every new model, and every new Issue we aim to only convey the pride and love we have for our models all across the SL Grid.
When I won Miss February in 2016 both my worlds changed forever. It is an experience I have never regretted and Playdolls has been in my heart since that day and has never left it.  After the tragic passing of our founder Tazzy Jenkins in 2018, I pledged to remain tireless and steadfast in my aim to make Playdolls Magazine the premier Men’s pictorial in SL.  With my trusted colleagues, Silky and Gilly, and all the models and staff, I feel we are well on our way to accomplishing this dream.
Brea

So, there you have it, Folks.  Playdolls is always looking for models and DJs. See if you have the right stuff to be a Playdolls model or a Playdolls VIP.   Go check ‘em out the original Playdolls at the Relaxation Sim:

"Winter Slavic Rebirth 2021" LUXE Paris GOES RUSSIAN!

''Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening'', said Coco Chanel.

Seeing things in the same way as the great lady of fashion, Viktor Savior de Grataine, creator of the artistic event ''Winter Slavic Rebirth 2021'', decided to invite fashion designers to join painters, builders, poets, actors and musicians to tell about this fascinating culture of Russia before Christianity. And of course, LUXE Paris took up the challenge with immense pleasure!

The Russian soul at the heart of fashion

Paganism, unity with nature, indigenous gods, strength of spirit, fairy tales and epics, furs and ancient patterns ... drawing their inspiration from these main guidelines, the designers of LUXE Paris have created three outfits that they exhibit in photos at the art gallery of '' Winter Slavic Rebirth 2021'' in the company of several other fashion houses.

Parisian Skytower presents KRASNE, a dress and headpiece all in Slavic poetry. The dress with coat and hat SLAVIC BEAUTY by Mika Palmyra, for its part, features the iconic material of this snow country, fur! Finally, Avalon Chrome has chosen to play the Grand Duchess ANASTASIA Nikolaevna, adorned with a sumptuous kokoshnik, a typically Russian headdress.

An event funded by Linden Lab

The ''Winter Slavic Rebirth 2021'' event, which starts on January 1 and runs until February 28, is one of the first achievements of Second Life Endowment for The Arts (SLEA), a project by Tansee, funded by Linden Lab.

''SLEA is the spiritual successor to the former Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA), a decade-long partnership with the arts community that aimed to provide opportunities to further fuel interest in and spotlight the work of both established and emerging artists in Second Life'' explains Tansee, founder and coordonnator of SLEA.
''The new SLEA pursues the same goals with a multi-region, cost free experience, where the artists can exhibit their works and make themselves better known.''

With artists from all walks of life

Artist in real life, Viktor Savior de Grataine draws the world of Second Life as if it were real, with pencil and brush. He was therefore a suitable candidate for SLEA.

''One of my friend told me about art grant from SLEA'', he explains. ''I never heard about it before but I like to try myself in new projects so I have filled the form about my idea to revive the ancient Slavic culture with the contribution of artists from all walks of life and I was accepted!
''Sure, it was a big surprise! And then, a very big work inside team with many people to present an unique world  dedicated to russian culture but I am very proud of what we have accomplished all together!''

If you have an art project and would like the support of SLEA, contact Tansee.

The LUXE Paris BREWIN Collection by Avalon Chrome ART TO WEAR!

Becoming LUXE Paris LOOK of the YEAR opens many doors and Avalon Chrome is tangible proof. The current ambassador of the famous brand has joined Parisian Skytower and Mika Palmyra within the LUXE Paris design team!

And what a beginning! Chrome presents the LUXE Paris BREWIN collection, nothing less than art to wear, a group of ten outfits created from the works of her husband in real life, the Canadian painter Dave Brewin. Vibrant and expressive, Brewin's acrylics burst with a joyful and daring ardor and blend wonderfully with the haute couture styles of LUXE Paris.

A NEW WAY OF EXPERIENCING ART

''Avalon and Dave are both very talented and the pooling of their creativity has given birth to an extraordinary collection of which we are very proud,'' said Parisian and Mika, co-owners of the LUXE Paris brand, established in 2012.
''Art lovers will find in this collection a new way of living their passion. Rather than leaving their favorite painting at home, they can now take it with them, let it shine through their lives.''

''THAT WAS HIGH UP ON MY SL BUCKET LIST'' - Avalon Chrome

The new designer is just as enthusiastic, delighted by the turn of events.
''I knew I’d have some fun as the brand ambassador for LUXE Paris, but I had no idea there would be such a diverse abundance of opportunities presented to me in this role'', she confides passionately.
''Achieving the status of a designer for such a prestigious brand and designing my own collection was certainly high up on my SL bucket list, but was one I thought wouldn’t happen for a long time, if ever.
''So, I'm delighted and proud to present my debut collection. I’m also grateful to Mika and Paris for their support, encouragement, and for sharing their expansive knowledge.
''My husband Dave Brewin, the artist featured in this collection, and I appreciate the opportunity to showcase both of our work in this amazing collaboration!''

EACH OUTFIT COMES WITH A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY

On the style side, the LUXE Paris BREWIN collection reveals a bold but resolutely chic new designer, in perfect harmony with the brand's image. Avalon Chrome signs dashing and very couture outfits but quite easy to wear. Her experience as a model and photographer in Second Life, her expertise in marketing in real life as well as the fact that she was chosen among 326 candidates as the best person to represent LUXE Paris in the LOOK of the YEAR competition, make her a natural designer, inspired and competent. A great acquisition for the brand.

All the outfits in the LUXE Paris BREWIN collection are delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the painter. Customers can also view the original artwork that inspired their outfit on the artist's website at www.artisbrewin.com/works

The LUXE Paris BREWIN Collection is now in store at

ONE-ON-ONE MODELING AGENCY AND DESIGNS BY SONATTA: A MATCH MADE IN SECONDLIFE: JOSH (THOMAS1 BELLIC) REPORTING

Every so often, in a place as wonderful as SecondLife, I come across something truly unique among all the wonderful things here.  This past week I wandered into Egypt, and I stumbled upon one of the most stunning examples of high fashion to be found anywhere on the grid.  The audience members were seated in little 2-person tents to protect them from the dessert;s blazing sun.  One on One Modeling Agency had partnered with Sonatta  Morales fashions extraordinaire, to create a must-see fashion show.

Josh (Thomas1 Bellic) (JB):  What was your inspiration for One-on-One Modeling Agency?

Ponchituti Boucher (PB):  My inspiration to open One on One Modeling Agency came from the models themselves. I had heard complaints from many models about how they felt about the way some agencies were treating them and managing those agencies.  Whenever I commented to my Personal Vianaღ (curiosse) she always said the same: "Ponchi you should open your own agency.  But I wasn't sure if that was a good idea because I didn't want to deal with the drama, jealousy, envy and among other things, but then again I thought about the models.... they needed a safe space where they could explode their creativity, a place where they would feel admired and respected because of their talent, experience and trajectory a place where they will be treated as the Professional models they are. So, after a lot of thinking I talked to my dearest friend and business partner Diana Balhaus and Curiosse.  We made the decision and One on One Modeling Agency was born.

Diana Balhaus (DB):  We were looking to create a modeling agency in the fashion of the old days when models were trained to make every style a challenge, and designers were more than proud to give them their creation to walk in opulent runways, sort of continuing Frolic Mill's legacy or at least trying.

JB:  How many models are you working with?

PB: We are honored to have 40 fabulous models, since One on One is a by invitation-only agency. We feel deeply grateful they accepted our invitation. We have selected the best models of the grid, and we are scouting still. More invites will come.

DB:  One on One is a small agency, we don't cast models, they are carefully handpicked they are  Top Models of renowned reputation in SL modeling, they are all well trained professionals that "DELIVER THE GOODS" in every event we showcase.

JB:  How many shows will your models work in a year?

DB:  We only try to do ONE major show a month, it does take a lot of time to prepare.  The production is overseen by our wonderful team and the designer is brought in to approve every detail.  Our models work for other prestigious agencies and they are very, very busy.  Also we do charity shows so we maybe will be 12-15 shows in a year.

JB:  Speaking of your Designer, we are pleased to have Sonatta Morales joining us.  Tell us, Sonatta,   Where do you get your inspiration?

Sonatta Morales (SM):  Mostly from working, I sit down and start playing around with colours, patterns and ideas slowly start coming up, they take shape and guide me through the process, inspiration is practically an automatic work.

JB:  Do you design these on your own, or is it a team effort?

SM:  I've always designed everything on my own, my cat helps me a bit though, it's good to have something cute snoozing on your desk,

JB:  Do you fit the models individually with their ensembles?

SM:  No, I send them the outfits and they style the look themselves; I totally trust their taste.

JB:  This review showcased Egypt.  Have you showcased designs from other parts of the world as well?

SM:  I sometimes work around a certain pattern or range of colors that evoke  a culture or a theme, this time the idea of Ancient Egypt came to me because of a perfume I got as a present and the whole collection came after that. I don't usually use countries as a theme, my idea of theme is quite free actually.

JB:  Do you build your own sets for your runway shows, or do you farm that out to others?

PB: Our stages are specially built for us based in the theme and objective of the show, the designers desire and personality and as a result of our long hours of brainstorming and of course to the amazing talent of our Runway creator and builder.

DB:  We have the amazing Frank Dexter.  He creates every single set depending on the theme of the collection. Every single set is custom made.

JB:  Our readers can see the video of this most recent show. Are the still photos available as well?

DB:  Oh yes.  We have an in-house photographer who is simply amazing.  As a trained model herself, she knows exactly where to shoot and when.

PB: Every show has a corresponding set of photos, but we also, try to offer the largest media conversion to our clients and not just in the show itself but also the previews weeks when we do a big marketing campaign to make sure that as many people as possible will get advance notice of the upcoming show.

JP:  Are your fashions for sale?  If so, where can they be purchased?

SM:  Yes, my fashions are for sale, I have shops in different locations too.

JB:  How can readers learn about upcoming events for One-on-One Modeling Agency?

PB:  We are always working in our marketing plans and campaigns, but we are also working on the One on One Modeling Agency website, where we will have our calendar, news, coverage, Models profiles and much more.

JB:  Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

PB: One on One Modeling Agency was born to serve the fashion world. We hope we have created a safe, happy zone for designers and models but would love to be the way all residents of the grid would enjoy the glamour, beauty and Fabulous of fashion shows.  Once again thank you very much for giving me the great opportunity to be read by your amazing readers.

DB:  I thank all for the support we've had so far, I invite the readers come and experience one of our events, who knows maybe they will get the modeling bug, it is a lot of fun as well as beautiful.  I want to thank all the models in our agency, they are all my heroes, the staff whom without them it would never be possible, my cohost for always having my back, my sister Ponchi and Marty.

SM:  I would like to thank you all for being part of my journey in SL and for the ones who don't know me yet, feel free to visit my main store anytime. Have a great season!

So…there you have it folks. If you are in the market for cutting edge designs, check out Sonatta Morales’ creations. And for an awesome look at some of SLs most beautiful and talented ladies modeling these creations, check out the next show by the One on One Modeling Agency.

LUXE Paris INTERSTELLAR A SUPER FASHION SHOW & A MINK AS A GIFT!

Grap your diary! LUXE Paris and One On One Agency are presenting INTERSTELLAR, a super fashion show that will take place on October 11th, 9 AM SLT, and where are the guests will receive a beautiful mink coat as a gift!

Yes it is THE fashion rendez-vous of the year and no, it is not a futuristic collection. The name INTERSTELLAR here refers to the poetry of stars and distant planets which inspired the LUXE Paris fall 2020 collection.

''As planet earth battles COVID-19 and chaos, we have decided to look to the stars, imagining them as so many little glimmers of hope that watch over our capsizing world''. explain Parisian Skytower and Mika Palmyra, LUXE Paris designers and co-owners.

This vision translates into a collection with soft and reassuring colors but also with shocking, destabilizing effects, combinations of unprecedented shades and surprising amalgamations.
Dress, gowns, pants, swimwear, furs... LUXE Paris INTERSTELLAR explores all facets of fashion with that wonderful aura of chic and class that has made the reputation of the brand.

But if the fashion presented will be faithful to the image of the refined elegance so dear to LUXE Paris and eminently wearable, the show will certainly transport us to another world. It is in the heart of a night filled with stars that the One On One Agency will welcome us, exploding the classic concept of the fashion show with delicious poetry that borders on magic!

Arrive early as places are limited and the event is highly anticipated.

Pulse Entertainment Productions Owned by Avatar PR Presents A whole New Breed of Reality TV: Made to Model Reality TV Show!

With a chance to win L$200,000, (approximately $800.00 USD) to jump start a modeling career in Second Life, luxury living in the M2M Mansion at the grove rent free for one month, modeling contracts with SL Vogue and Avante Modeling Agency, a feature in Nu Vibez Magazine - including a photo session, a paid scholarship to SL Vogue Modeling Academy and other fabulous perks and high profile exposure.

Avatar PR is going all out for one lucky winner. You don’t even need to have prior modeling experience. This competition is open to anyone with a desire to be a top SL Model.

Made to Model Reality TV Show will feature 14 contestants competing in challenges which including modeling, runway, photography sessions and more. To make the competition more dramatic, every contestant will wear the Life HUD version 2.0 throughout the competition for added reality TV show effects and day to day human tasks.  Details for  each episode will be provided as they air weekly on iMoogi.tv and YouTube.  They determine which contestant will be sent home until there is just one remaining to be crowned the first ever Miss Made to Model!  Are you up for the challenge?

Important information about Made to Model Reality TV Show:

This competition is offering one lucky winner VIP prizes that will catapult their Modeling Career in Second Life. How can Model hopefuls register to be a contestant?

Filipa Thespian

Filipa Thespian:
We have the registration boards up in the Made to Model Headquarters at The Grove Country Club Estates.  These boards are more than just an entry task for the girls, they are a tool that can be used for the girls who make it, during the competition, to save them from elimination.  The boards maintain a tally of popularity votes, and only the votes that happen on the boards, truly count toward a model's salvation. Just as a model's power comes in the people she can inspire to make a purchase of a designer's wares, how many she can motivate to vote for her on her board shows a glimmer into her abilities and value as a Made to Model winner.

Anyone can enter the competition, but how do you narrow it down to 14 contestants what criteria must they exhibit to qualify in the selection process?

Filipa Thespian:
We select from those who gain 50 votes or more, and our choices are based on personality, desire to compete, desire to win and intelligence.  Once a model reaches 50 votes, she is given a personal interview by several members of the staff and production team.  She's advised of what to expect and critiqued for how she reacts to this information and her availability.  If chosen at this phase, she is then incorporated into various PR events and photographic opportunities we provide, to test her mettle, her ability to follow direction and to see how hard she works all while the show is marketed by the visibility of the contestants.  If she makes it through this phase, she is a Made to Model contestant and will be on the show.  Any points she earns during this pre-show competing, are tallied into her "salvation points" and saved for when she might need them on the show.

What is the Life HUD version 2.0 that each contestant will be wearing? What does it do?

Filipa Thespian:
Oh Life Hud is very exciting.  If you've ever played The Sims™ by EA Games, you'll get it!  Just like in that game, the Life Hud adds to your avatar, basic human bodily needs on a meter, that you need to keep after, such as the need to eat, cleanliness and other bodily functions.  More recent version of the Hud includes health ... your avatar can actually get sick!  Oh, and careers ... their are careers built into this, that satisfy human needs such as happiness, the need to achieve and succeed and so on.  We believe this will add to the show in ways that you just can't get in virtual worlds without it!  Besides, its a lot of fun and surprisingly to me, many of the girls already had their huds, they already "played the game."  Life Hud has provided the food needed during the show to keep the girl's tummy's from rumbling and the house's appliances will be suitably scripted and fully Life Hud enabled providing the girls with most of what they need to succeed.

To give contestants a little insight on how the elimination process works, what do they have to watch out for to lessen their chances of being sent home?

Filipa Thespian:
We have some of the most talented and amazing hosts and judges on the show.  They have extensive experience in the Second Life Modeling and Fashion communities and include Miss Emma Portilo, formerly COO of Opium Modeling Agency; QueenToy Cyberstar, founder and owner of SL Vogue; and Miss Kimmera Madison, Fashion Designer & Founder of Tres Beau designs and the lady who formerly ran the Miss Virtual World Competition and Boulevard Agency.  These are the three ladies who the contestants need most to impress, although some episodes will have special guest judges for specific challenges, and those wont be announced until it happens!  The judges will be watching the girls for their ability to learn and grow, their viability on camera, ability to take direction, skill in front of a camera, skill in styling and many more elements that go into being a top fashion model in Second Life.  Oh, and lets not forget the ever dreaded, popularity scoring that will include social media and tools we provide on the Made to Model website.

Aside from the grand prize of L$200,000 Lindens, can you elaborate on the Grand Prize package?

Filipa Thespian:
Well the money is lovely, but yes, there is more to it.  As a winner, Miss Made to Model will be moved into the Made to Model mansion at The Grove Country Club Estates, as her home, and she will be granted the ability to live there, free rent, for a month.  When the month is up, she will be given first dibs on renting that home before we make it publicly available.  While living in the ultimate in SL luxury, she will begin her career by attending the illustrious SL Vogue Modeling Academy, on a fully paid scholarship, followed by paid modeling gigs as an SL Vogue Agency Model.  With that, she also becomes an Avante Modeling Agency model and will be found often in the pages of Nu Vibez Magazine starting with a feature article, interview and photo session designed to catapult her into the public eye.

Scheduling and Time management is a challenge in itself when it comes to SL Competitions. With that being said, Can you tell us about the filming process and approximately how much time will contestants need to dedicate to this competition?

Filipa Thespian:
When we begin filming, it will be done straight through until we're done.  We film all episodes back to back, go into post-production, get the episodes ready for prime-time THEN, we will release one a week ... just like they do in RL.  There will be a period of several weeks the girls will need to be ready to work and the filming schedule will be posted to the girls.  They'll know the base times when they need to be on set and ready to get down and dirty in the competition.

Who are the sponsors of Made to Model Reality TV Show and what are their contributions?

Filipa Thespian:
We have some amazing sponsors, we cannot thank them enough.  First and foremost, thank you to The Grove Country Club Estates which is providing us with the lovely parcel on which we built the custom Made to Model Mansion, and their generosity of the free rent prize to the winner.  Then, there's LIFE HUD of course, providing the Life Hud 2.0 system and the food and tools needed to "play".   There are a few sponsors we're working on right now but they're not quite ready to be mentioned them.  There's still time to become a sponsor and take advantage of the PR and visibility that comes from working with this show and our group.  The information's available on our website.

When is filming expected to begin?

Filipa Thespian:
We're in the midst of gearing up with pre-show PR and selection challenges and getting all the final details in order.  The filming will begin in January, giving everyone the chance to get through the holiday crazies and to take advantage of that slow period that happens just after the holidays are over.

During the competition and filming of the show, will models be supplied with a wardrobe selection from the  sponsors or will the models have to come up with their own styles and outfit choices?

Filipa Thespian:
The contestants have already experienced this with our Halloween photo-shoot for Nu Vibez Magazine ... when we have a photo-shoot where we insist on what they wear, we provide all attire.  Also, we are lining up fashion designers who will be providing attire and who may appear on the show too (don't want to give too much away) as guest judges and challenge leaders.  These Designers will be announced soon, but a they include Paris Metro Couture and Tres Beau for certain!

What else can you tell our readers about what to expect from Made to Model Reality TV Show without giving too much away?

Filipa Thespian:
Fun ... Reality TV Drama ... high quality, creative filming that's enjoyable to watch ... the ability to affect the outcome by voting for the ladies and so much more.  If you are someone interested in participating in such a way, get yourself in the Made to Model group inside Second Life as a fan, so that you know when we put out the call for votes and you can potentially find yourself as an extra on the show!
