CASE STUDIES: Let’s talk about Sex- Lanai Jarrico Reporting…

According to the trusty and witty Urban Dictionary, the word sex is defined as “What kind of moron are you that you look up sex in the Urban Dictionary?” More politically correct and bland on dictionary.com (which has better manners I might add) defines sex as “the instinct or attraction drawing one sex toward another, or its manifestation in life and conduct”.

To be more specific, sex is a sexual activity, including specifically sexual intercourse. The act of sexual intercourse and exchange of bodily fluids obviously dates back to the beginning of creation, without getting all biblical and assuming we all came from dust. None of us know exactly where mankind came from but we sure know how to procreate to add to our population on this planet or, at least, practice. To many it is taboo and whispered about and for others they display their sexuality in a very public way. Either way, it is a part of life. And without it none of us would exist.

There is something within us (assuming you are an adult, mature enough to understand the true meaning of sex and all the excitement about it.) We all have that the primal urge to fulfill our most inner desires and reach that point of pure ecstasy.  Sex is amazing with the right person and even more out of this world when you are in love. There are many ways to experiment with it; to find that ultimate trigger that works for each of us sexually active beings.  In order for it to work we have to remember it is a mutual thing between consenting partners and not all about you and your needs. If it is then you have no clue what you are missing.
There is no need to be shy about sex or think it is too dirty to talk about. Once you get over that, you will truly understand why it is such a big deal to so many people, especially in Second Life where imaginations can run wild, shyness and judgments are pushed aside and the real sexually charged animals come out to play. That is why the sex industry is so large in Second Life.
No matter where you go in Second Life you might be faced with pose balls and animations that were created to lure lovers into a more intimate space. Since it is virtual, the act of sex is more a mental stimulation and self-exploratory. Masturbation is a big part of the act but surprisingly, for some, one or the other will not even touch themselves yet still feel satisfaction and mental release. It is an interesting digital age we are in that gives people the option to explore thing they didn’t even know would turn them on.
A big reason for the fear of sex or exploring options is sexually transmitted diseases and unplanned pregnancies. In Second Life those worries are not present so sexual exploration, multiple partners and promiscuity are new and bold options to choose from. Add bi-curiosity, orgies, swinging and BDSM to the mix and you have yourself a never ending Sex-fest.  I will say the art of emoting is a thing to be mastered because a bunch of mmmms, ooohs and ahhhs won’t cut it alone. To make it good, you have to be sync with your partner in writing out your erotic fantasy. And don’t think about cutting and pasting from 50 shades of grey, you can probably write better porn one handed in the middle of an orgasm.
Anyway, since sex is so easy to find in Second Life I decided to go explore the red light district and do some “research” without ending up in a fetal position crying in my shower about what I did with regrets.

Case Study #1= The F*ckery Owner Jaz Mynx

The F*ckery is a popular location for avatars to let go of their inhibitions and explore Sex in SL. I met up with the sole owner of this sex club to get an inside look at his perspective of Sex in SL. You will see just how easily sex can become part of a situation with just a little flirting.
Lanai Jarrico:  Hi Jaz, What inspired you to create the F*ckery?

Jaz Mynx: it’s perhaps the very reason I keep this place. Well first let me say, it would not be here without the help of my close friend Pixie, who built a lot of it. I wanted to have a place where all adults where welcome, felt welcome, found something here that maybe turned them on in some way; I like to think there is something for everyone here.

Lanai Jarrico: Why do you think Sex in SL is such a huge culture?

Jaz Mynx: Well I think it’s very easy. There is no consequence for the most part. You can become whatever you want to become.

Lanai Jarrico: I agree

Jaz Mynx:  I find people have such a varied range of fantasies.  oh you’re such a tease.

Lanai Jarrico: I try

Jaz Mynx: lol

Lanai Jarrico: lol Do you think Sex in SL is fulfilling?

Jaz Mynx: for me personally... only sometimes. I think some people get an enormous release from it most of the time, they come here for that as somehow maybe sex in rl has escaped them and I think that’s great.

Lanai Jarrico: can you elaborate?

Jaz Mynx: for me, I require a little something.... real ... .sometimes, even in sl and that puts some people off… a lot of people actually lol BTW feel free to... you know.... lose some layers...
Lanai Jarrico: sure

Jaz Mynx: did I elaborate enough on that?

Lanai Jarrico: yes but I’m interested more in what realism you are into.

Jaz Mynx: well.... for example. I have gone so far as to meet up with a lady but I think that takes time, understanding, trust and an obvious connection. I’m not here to find dates, don’t get me wrong but... I do not rule it out either. Short of that I would say.... perhaps voice, a way to connect when offline whether that’s kik chat or something like that... of course photo exchange but I feel like men are more visual and want that more often than women....those are just a few examples

Lanai Jarrico: very interesting.

Jaz Mynx: would you like to sit on my lap?

Lanai Jarrico: *sits on his lap* what is it about SL Sex that you like the most?

Jaz Mynx: I think it’s when I feel as if I have made a connection with someone, mentally, intellectually even and I can feel their passion grow with mine...I can feel them needing me in that moment more than anything and it goes beyond simply physical arousal. Because let’s face it, we can all just masturbate alone, right?

 Lanai Jarrico: *nods*

Jaz Mynx: you know what I mean then?

Lanai Jarrico: well this interview has gotten close and personal* clears throat*

 Jaz Mynx: yes it has.

Lanai Jarrico: you made me lose where I was at in my interview lol

Jaz Mynx: I hope that’s ok... it’s one of those things one simply can’t predict or expect but then it gives an amazing energy doesn’t it.

Lanai Jarrico: it sure does and it is quite fun.

Jaz Mynx: it feels great, I’m glad you stopped by

Lanai Jarrico: Sooo where do you see the Sex industry in SL headed if oculus rift becomes a part of it

Jaz Mynx: I don’t want to....undermine your interview at all... but I’m loving having you so close right now. uhm... wow I’m so uninformed on that, you have to tell me what oculus is?

Lanai Jarrico: well oculus rift is that headset viewer with the capabilities of being hands free in Virtual gaming.

Jaz Mynx: oh I see. That sounds like it could enhance the experience to me

Lanai Jarrico: I think it would put a major spin on how people engage in Sex here. Here is something else interesting to have  http://we-vibe.com/we-vibe-4-plus *smiles*

Jaz Mynx: THAT’S SO GREAT!!! I can control a vibe with an app on my phone!!?

Lanai Jarrico: mmhmm anywhere from around the world. Imagine the possibilities of that here lol

Jaz Mynx: fantastic!! When can I send you one!? Yes I see... that certainly offers the possibility of making it all a bit more... interactive

Lanai Jarrico: Ok let’s get back on track. Is there anything else or some advice for people new to sex in SL that you can offer?

Jaz Mynx: lol you’re so good

Lanai Jarrico: good at what hmm?

Jaz Mynx: lol good at staying on task here.  Hmmmm I would just say for people to be patient if they can, they will find what they seek eventually, but people can have such a different idea of how things should be or what they expect here so I would hope people are open minded and patient

Lanai Jarrico: It’s my job :) *climbs off your lap nice and slow* It was quite the pleasure interviewing you.  We should do it again some time.

CASE STUDY # 2- The Keyhole Club Dancer  Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins)
The Keyhole Club has been in Second Life for a few years and caters to sex enthusiasts who like to watch and be watched. Entertainment includes a porn theater, sex rooms with window peepshow views, a strip club and a shopping mall for all your sexy clothing and accessory needs. Traffic is high day and night and its apparent management this sex venue doing something right.  I interviewed dancer  Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins) about his perspective of the Sex Industry in Second Life.

Lanai Jarrico:  Dr. Pappa, what inspired you to become a Keyhole Dancer?

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): I wanted to work here because it’s the best

Lanai Jarrico: you mean the best sex club in SL?

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): the friendliest club period. That’s what it’s about.... making connections.

Lanai Jarrico: Why do you think Sex in SL is such a huge culture?

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): I can give you two reasons...... you get to be someone in a perfect body of your own creation... so sex of course is going to come up.... and there is a large group of people here who for whatever reason -disability- work etc...... Can’t get what they need elsewhere.

Lanai Jarrico: you bring up a very good point, it is about possible rl restrictions and having the freedom here without judgment.

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): well some people come here to do kinks (as well as lots of non sexual things) that they can’t do in "real life” and fear of judgment is certainly one of those things. Like if the real me was on this pole Id get booed off the stage lol

Lanai Jarrico: lol. What is it about dancing that you like the most?

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): getting paid money to have girls ogle me and take off my clothes?? I like everything about that! LOL

Lanai Jarrico:  Fair enough. What are the majority of your patrons mostly into?

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): oh goodness they run the gamut for sure... I would have to say there are women who like a handsome man appreciate them for who they are. Other than that, it’s hard to put them in a box.

Lanai Jarrico: True, everyone has their own preferences so I can see it being difficult to group them in specific sex interest categories. If you engage in SL sex do you find it fulfilling?

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): yes I do... but in a different way than actual sex :)

Lanai Jarrico: can you elaborate?

[08:49] Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): It’s more like directing your own porn movie than being IN the porn movie lol

Lanai Jarrico: Interesting perspective of it.

Rev. Dr. Pappa Hiddenshoes (drrwatkins): this suggestion is NOT a come on.... but if writing this article you really should try it with someone

CASE STUDY #3- Anonymous Freelance Escort
Landing an escort had to be the most difficult of all the subjects I interviewed. They are very hush hush and do not want to speak to media. However I did manage to get a few answers out of one escort who disappeared in the middle of the interview. She asked to remain anonymous. It is understandable that sex workers aren’t too willing to talk to the press. Many wish to remain anonymous for a variety of personal reasons. What I did find out is this particular escort decided to be a sex worker for the Lindens and when asked why she thought the sex industry was so huge in Second Life, she replied, “maybe because the men can't have someone in rl and it's easier on here”.  She also shared that what she liked most about her job was that it was pleasing and then again emphasized it was for the Lindens.

CASE STUDY # 4- A Male Perspective

This particular participant does not speak for every male in Second life who engages in virtual sex. But it gives some insight on sex from a male perspective who has been actively involved in the Second Life community for over 8 years.

Lanai: How long have you been in Second Life and do you engage in sex in Second Life?

Male: I have been in SL since 12/02/2007....and I engage in sex sporadically.

Lanai: How many partners have you had?

Male: I can’t answer that. I don’t know an exact number. Over 15 approximately

Lanai: Do you have any specific kinks, preferences or fetishes?

Male: I’m more into the D/s thing.....

Lanai: What is it about SL Sex that you like the most? Is it fulfilling?

Male: I guess what I like about it is that...1. It’s easy- if you have decent avatar and a good personality. It’s not a problem to get sex. 2. Its anonymous - you can explore kinks that you normally wouldn’t be able to explore in RL 3. Its disease free - self explanatory

Lanai: Is it just sex to you or have your experiences been meaningful?

Male: is it fulfilling? for me?.... sometimes...but usually no. because it’s still only masturbation...... and you can’t hold someone after....you can’t "feel" them...it’s cold most of the time. Its glorified masturbation. Its depends on who you’re with....in regards to it being meaningful.

Lanai: Why do you think Sex in SL is such a huge culture?

Male: Because sex in RL is such a huge culture... add anonymity to that...mix in some creativity, imagination and the human condition.....and a computer and you got SL sex culture.

CASE STUDY # 5 Female Perspective
This female participant was a character but very forthcoming about her sexual prowess. She has never been involved in stripping or escorting but shared her personal sex life in Second Life because she enjoys the thrill of intense sexual encounters. Her perspective does not reflect on all women in Second Life but makes a great point about how it makes her feel and why she engages in virtual sex.

Lanai: How long have you been in Second Life and do you engage in sex in Second Life?

Female: I have been in second life for 5 years off and on and I love the freedom of exploring my sexuality anonymously.

Lanai: How many partners have you had?

Female: I have been with over 12 different partners. Some of them were relationships and some were one night stands.

Lanai: Do you have any specific kinks, preferences or fetishes?

Female: Yes, I am into the bad boy look. I love tattoos and piercings. I also like men who pay attention to detail and have sexy avatars that are proportionate and a sense of style. I am not into bdsm but I do enjoy rough sex with a mix of sensual passionate lovemaking.

Lanai: What is it about SL Sex that you like the most? Is it fulfilling?

Female: I like the thrill of making him aroused and knowing that he is pleasuring himself. That arouses me. It can be fulfilling because it is very mentally stimulating to a point but there is always that need for physical stimulation from a man. Masturbation alone doesn’t make the act complete.

Lanai: Is it just sex to you or have your experiences been meaningful?

Female: It depends on my mood or if I am in a relationship. When I am dating someone, it is intense and meaningful but I lose interest if we have virtual sex too much. I like the thrill of exploring different fantasies and it excites me to be with someone new. When it is a one night stand it is just sex but still mentally stimulating.

Lanai: Why do you think Sex in SL is such a huge culture?

Female: I think sex is popular in second life because everyone has the ability to explore different things that they might not be courageous enough to do in real life or fear things like std’s or unplanned pregnancies. Also, it can be exciting to explore multiple sexual partners if they have been in a long term marriage and need something more, have problems finding someone, shyness or never got the chance to experience different people. I can’t speak for every woman who has sex in second life but I think all women want to feel beautiful and wanted and second life gives us a chance to feel that.

Collective Case Study Conclusion

These case studies provided an insight from various perspectives as to why Sex in Second life is so popular. The most common reason is the freedom to explore various sexual experiences anonymously. For sex workers Lindens are a factor but the thrill of these sexual encounters is stimulating but does not provide complete fulfillment. In a sense sex in Second Life is interactive porn in a safe environment unless participants take it to the next level and actually meet in real life for the physical part.

For safety reasons it is not recommended to explore real sexual encounters with people you meet on the internet unless you have established a trusting long term relationship, confirmed the person is who they say they are and it doesn’t compromise your real life situation or your personal safety.

Avie Poll: Words of Wisdom from SL Residents: Advice for a fulfilling Second Life.-CeciliaRosalie Reporting...

Second life is meant to be an extension of RL without the boundaries of the first one. It’s a place to have fun and enjoy every moment. For some it can even be a way to escape from RL’s difficulties.Same as in RL sometimes things tend to be more frustrating. We asked 6 individuals about their very personal piece of advice to enjoy a fulfilling Second life. Here’s what they said:
What’s is your advice to other residents so they can enjoy the very best of SL?

wolfen Bestijl: SL is Like an impromptu play to fulfill your SL fantasy, make sure you are writing your own script don't let someone else write it for you.

Pax Voix MçEиtiяє (Pax Voix): Do everything once. If you like it do it again! (Hehehehe)

Felicia Helendale:
I have had the pleasure of being a member of Second Life now for over a decade. My first avatar was created back in 2004. I have since dabbled my hands in many different aspects that this world has to offer from exploring to role-playing to eventually becoming a designer. Along the way, I have met some wonderful people, and others who turned out to not be as wonderful as they first seemed to be. I have experienced joy, friendship, heartbreak and more, and all of them very real emotions no matter what role I was in at the time.
The fact is, no one can define what Second Life means to you. For some, it may be the only social interaction they have, for any number of reasons from social anxiety to agoraphobia, etc. For them, the relationships and interactions they experience here can be more powerful, and this world is an extension of their own. Then there are others, like myself, who Second Life is a source of inspiration or creation, and another form of social connection. From creating intricate character stories and interactions, to designing a new outfit or accessory, and Second Life allows us the freedom to pick and choose how we want to experience it.
So my advice to anyone who is looking for a more fulfilling Second Life, be true to yourself because, while we all may be pixels on a screen to one another, there is still a live human being on the other end controlling those pixels. Never pretend to be something you’re not, strive to treat other as you wish to be treated, and just own who you are. If you are a shy, quiet and reserved individual who thrives more socially behind the anonymity of the computer, so be it. If you are a role-player, out to find the next great character story, go for it. If you are a designer looking to broaden their creative minds to create something amazing, do it. Just leave the drama, games and deceptions out of it.

You'll find you'll make a lot more friends, and enjoy yourself a lot more, and you can turn off the machine at the end of the night and be able to say, "Wow, I have a great Second Life."

ДиĜěickWăίίz ДЯıεƨ Hυηт (Jae Somerset): "Don't let the people who aren't worth it get to you. Focus on those who love and accept you for who you are, and shower them with the love and kindness they deserve."

Anonymous: "Remember that behind every avatar is a human being that might have different expectations from SL than you have. Thus be honest about your expectations and way to play. And first and foremost:( don't be a jerk.) NEEDS TO BE REPHRASED."

Tapika Tomsen: Fill your SL life with friends who have faults you can live with, everyone has their great points, and those are easy to love, but someone who will stay your constant friend is someone who's worse points you can embrace. We all need that kind of acceptance in our lives.

All of these SL residents have something in common. Being yourself and accepting others as they are will lead to a fulfilling Second Life. In a virtual world where you control your own happiness, make decisions to shape how your virtual world will be and create the life you want to lead; It is a good idea to embrace everything that Second Life has to offer and open your mind to new and exciting adventures.

Spotlight on Wild Angels Rock Club & Lounge

Rock Clubs can be found all over the grid but there is one in particular that caught our attention. Located at Sage Estates, Wild Angels Rock Club & Lounge is an active venue with regulars who often come together for great conversation and a good time. This club is owned and operated by CJ Torva and stays busy day and night featuring some of the coolest DJs on the grid that engage with the crowd and have a great sense of humor. You can expect to hear soft, classical and hard rock, top hits and even pop music.   Music and dance balls aren’t the only features this rock club has though. Visitors can participate in Truthball, Trivia, lucky chairs, random money givers and Greedy.  There are no strict rules and it is Bloodlines friendly.  We caught up with CJ Torvo to learn more about Wild Angels and what makes it so successful.

Lanai: When was Wild Angels Rock Club & Lounge established?
CJ: Wild Angels Rock Club & Lounge (Originally just Wild Angels), was created back in April of 2014 with strong encouragement from a few special people; Bry, Derekb, Decode Ashdene, Fishicus, Seabluetears and Lil Duckie with myself.

Lanai: What inspired you to create Wild Angels and how would you describe the atmosphere?
CJ: We only wanted a place that we could hang out together. Wild Angels was never planned to be the size it is now. I hope if you ask anyone about the atmosphere, they would say exactly that; a place all our friends can hang out together. We get wild, we have fun. To be a Wild Angel is a SL lifestyle. It's letting go of real life and coming to a place where it's ok to be different. But it's all our differences that make us alike.

Lanai:  Wild AngelsRock Club & Lounge has an impressive active atmosphere, what is your secret to success?
CJ: Lanai, you are not the first to ask what our secret is. It's just something you have to experience.

Lanai: Fair enough. What type of activities can be found at Wild Angels?

CJ: Wild Angels is and always has been a Bloodline friendly club. We encourage all Clans, Hordes, and Guilds here. Any of them may request their family crest or logo to be put on our walls. We also have Bloodline vendors and looking to add a refill station.  We encourage all Bloodline activities including recruiting with a couple basic rules; No random attacks, no spamming, No hunting from other families.
We have also always been supportive of new players. We offer Lucky Chairs, Trivia, Random Money Give-a-Way and Raffles. We are also known to give a shout out to pass any transferrable items our VIPs can to new players to help them get started.
Wild Angels also has a theater where anyone with a Wild Angels group tag on can access and enjoy a variety of movies including other television stations.
Other activities? Wow, I mean we have weekly regular events like Wet Wednesdays where we party all day on the beach, BangFest Tuesday Night with DJ Satori and Bry where we play extreme heavy Head-banging Music. Under Wear Thursdays for the sole purpose of having a reason to party in our undies.
But I guess what I really want to express is our VIPs ARE the Activity. We truly do have the best VIPs in Sl and always fun to be around. So when you ask what activities we have.....The Club itself is an Activity.

Lanai: I can agree with that.Every successful venue has key players that help make it what it is. Who makes up your team of managers, DJs, Hosts and dancers?
CJ: So much I want to reply. The simple answer you are looking for is: My Sr. Manager and best friend bryonyjasmine. The two floor managers that do an amazing job are Tipona and Selectiveheart. Satorijanelle is our very talented and passionate Staff Manager. We also have a team of 3 Event Postings Managers; Selectiveheart posts on Bloodlines and we also have Naposhh and Lilieah that do all our SL Events Postings.
I do not want this question getting past without stressing the greatness in stage staffing Wild Angels has. Committed DJs and Hosts that also step up to cover a slot so our VIPs have that ready for them. We go deep in commitment and passion and dedication.

Lanai: Are you currently hiring? If so, what is the application process?
CJ: Wild Angels is always hiring.  We are always looking for a deeper selection of both DJs and Hosts to keep us rockin' and having fun.

Our hiring process is a 2-step process.
First, applicants get to meet Bry. Bry sorts out the potential drama makers and if they have what it takes to be a Wild Angel team member in attitude and spirit.
Assuming they get past Bry, they get forwarded on to Satori where potential members show her what they got and can bring to the table in skill, potential, and originality that still falls in line of our standards.

We take applicants extremely serious. It is our Djs and Hosts that are the faces of Wild Angels. What they do on stage and how they treat VIPs is a crucial aspect of growth and retention. We don't expect perfection, just professionalism. Perfection will follow when you understand what it means to be a Wild Angel.

The MONTROSE Club - Lacy Muircastle reporting ....

SL Clubs and music venues come and go, like the ebb and flow of the ocean, without so much as causing the smallest ripple in the hub bub of Second Life.  Then there are those clubs that blossom with a sense of purpose, and whose arrival you just know will make the SL music scene more visible, or should that be more audible?

Just such a music venue threw open its doors this past weekend.  And to put it plainly, it’s simply sensational.

Carla and Capt. Bill
Presenting The MONTROSE Club, owned and run by ᴄᴀʀʟᴀ (CarlanaMegane Resident) and Cαρт. W. Pαтєrѕση (SchoonerBill Resident).  The reason I say that this venue is going to make a significant impression on the music world of SL is down to its owners, Carla and Capt. Bill, two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.  They are welcoming, and friendly and inclusive, which makes for a place you want to be and want to spend time at.

Smile Please! Best Photogenic Places in Second Life - Debby Sharma reporting

A dream within a world. One of the core most engaging activities in Second Life as well as in any other virtual world, is photography among other activities like appearance, shopping, building etc. Few choose to visit the the photography studios and others choose to edit the background in a photo editing software. There are some who choose to explore around the grid taking pictures of the landscapes or selfies.

Romantic couples, bloggers, explorers, landscape builders and others essentially look for places that look at the dream of individuals from a different perspective or for inspiration. There are n number of such motivations that can awe you, however, am bringing you a few that would infuse one to another world.

The McFly Project by LICK Sim

Creator Sera Bellic has surprised us with yet another great work. This landscape was opened to public on 9th July, 2015. In the words of Bellic, she introduces the quaint view of flora and fauna as, "Step into the past and explore the world that once was and find your way in to the future. Just be careful to watch your step along the way." The land that holds mystery within its beauty and is sure to drop the jaws in awe of its spectators.

Namaste Lounge

Opened on June 12th, 2015, Namaste Lounge brings the sneak peak of oriental mini Asia. Namaste, the word has come from the ancient language, Sankrit which is combined from two words, namely, "naman" and "aste", meaning "I bow down to the soul standing in front of me". This language was widrespread among the Indo-European region. The picturesque of the land brings out the primitive era which was relatively closer to earth.

Black Basalt Beach

Fresh breeze, calm winds and cloudy sky; the environment dictates the silence before the stormy night. It is advised to use region settings. Basalt rocky terrain and towering mountains with houses on top where one can see the whole island is just every photographer would want. The best feature of all is one can rez props by joining their group.

Finally, the Destination Guide and the Search tab is always helpful in finding more variations in scenic panorama. Destinations like Basilique, Dublin, Hazardous, Frisland among others have passed the test of time and are still among the most beautiful places in Second Life.

How Much Does Your Wardrobe Cost?-Becca Drascol Reporting

Bananas for fashion?

I think it's so simple in Second Life or any virtual world to get a bit caught up in building a fashion wardrobe, a style of your own. Perhaps to buy all kinds of clothes and shoes you could never buy in RL.  In my real life I'm not much a fashion and shoes girl to be honest. I grew up with a modest life finances wise therefore I learned to appreciate what I have for what it is. That's not to say I don't go gaga for some awesome clothes, boots or high heels in my RL. I too can go bananas for fashion.

Budget Friendly

Second Life being user friendly for creation and creations being user based leaves our world wide open for a ton of fashion from diva to down home country girl/boy and everything in between. But does this mean that said fashion needs to cost you a small fortune?  Of course not.  There are plenty of SL designers who offer quality clothes and shoes at fair prices easy on our linden wallets. EC Enelya's Creations by Teslinne Quann is one of my absolute faves. Very high quality looks for between 99 and 100 Linden. With some designs also in the 101-500 L range. EC Enelya's Creations can be found here on Marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/35849. And here in world http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sant%20Sebastian/130/141/702.

Another designer with lots of style for low Linden is ADN designs by Adabetha Nayl with many lovely looks, most of which are full outfits ranging in price from 1 L upwards to 250. All designs look just as awesome in world on your av as they do on marketplace. To find ADN on market, look here https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/58702 and for the in world store, go here http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Centre%20Commercial/90/131/16.

The Flip Side

For those who do crave well done clothing at more of a mid price scale but nonetheless worth it, there would be Graves Quality Fetish & Cyberpunk by Jackie Graves. On marketplace Graves price range goes from around 150 L to about 999 L. I truly have no complaints with the two outfits I have of Graves...love how they fit and love how I feel in them. So there is definitely something to be said for higher priced clothing as well. To find Graves on market look here https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/20249. For her in world store go here http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Oxymoron/56/103/31.

Beautiful Sin by Pebbles Rockin has some very lovely silks and other clothing. With prices that range from lower end such as 149 L and upwards around 897 L on market I would feel right in saying there may be something there for just about any av when it comes to cost. The designs are definitely unique and decently done.  To find the store on market look here https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/13372. In world I found that prices may vary but fatpacks come up in the range of anywhere from 5K in linden all the way to 8k plus in linden. For in world shopping go here http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Beautiful%20Sin/142/99/1002.

Big Spender or Looking like a million linden?

It's this reporter's opinion that rather you have the budget to buy everything in the highest of fashion or you limit yourself to the finest of low cost, promos and freebies, that you truly can look great for low cost. While I will not knock spending thousands to look good, I simply feel that you can achieve even a high quality look without spending so much. And as the old saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Shouldn't that hold true for fashion as well?  If you love your style and you're rockin that freebie, I say go for it and don't change a thing.

Smooching Serpents Introduces Rusty Banger

Probably Second Life's most expensive wrecked car. But certainly its best and kinkiest, and here is your chance to get it for half the price...

Cuddle up on the filthy back seat, or chain your partner to the banger for ease of use. Or just sit on your treasured rust heap and relax.

Set fire to it or let it rain while you wallow in dozens of superb animations, all poseball free, threesomes and foursomes included,  find your way through extensive RLV options, choose your favourite design, and of course it's all mesh, and all in the usual Smooching Serpents top quality.

Pimp your urban setting up with the luxurious wreck, or just put one up in your otherwise impeccable garden, it will be the talking point for your neighbours. Looks good in woods, as well, or in your bed room, if you want....

It will be a bargain for L$1999, and you can even get it for L$999 while it is on promotion until July 13th, 2015.

Go and admire and try it out -> http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Villareal/176/28/22
