SLE POLICE REPORT- ROLE-PLAYING WITH FIRE

Second Life- On October 31st at approximately 6:25 pm SLT, it was reported that a Roleplay sim owner on the seedy side of the grid was arrested and charged with countless verbal assaults on women who do not heed to his romantic advances.  According to sources close to the SL Enquirer. Elrond Caudron AKA  “ChŘĭŠťƠÞĦë ΜċϜàΝčŸ was seen hanging out the bathroom window of his home hurling a barrage of insults and profanities while waving a British flag and claiming he was God’s gift to women. A crowd formed in the streets with many holding up their smartphones to record the incident.

He could be heard yelling at a woman, “ Ignorance and ghosting are forms of emotional abuse and narcissism. I will not tolerate it. Women like YOU are undeserving of men like ME. Men who can do the things that I can, men who HAVE emotional depth and intelligence. The multitudes of creative brilliance I have? NO man on here even comes close. ALL men you encounter on here, from now on, are scum compared to me. You deserve men who are Neanderthals, men who are total wankers and have NOTHING to offer you.

He went on to shout,  “You sound like a proper fat (BLEEP) in real life and you more than likely 100% ARE.  You're clearly an extremely bland individual and you have nothing to offer me at all. You probably have such low self esteem and worth that you consider yourself to be unworthy of men like me. And you most certainly are unworthy of men like me. Such a time wasting piece of (BLEEP). I have THREE sims with 60,000 prims so enjoy your (BLEEP) bit of land! I have multiple, incredible talents. I'm tall and handsome in RL. You're also annoying. So it's YOUR loss, it truly is”.

The unidentified woman he was insulting responded with, “Since you clearly don't have a clue and chose to verbally attack me like the emotional abuser you are, allow me to retort.  You call me ignorant, yet I have a college degree and am highly respected within my career.  You call me a narcissist, yet the exact definition of narcissist mirrors who you are.  In case you were curious here is what a narcissist is " a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves."  " Symptoms include an excessive need for admiration, disregard for others' feelings, an inability to handle any criticism, and a sense of entitlement."  Sound familiar?  Well, it should.  As for me being "undeserving" of a "man" like you .....well you are right there.  I DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU”.  It’s sad that it took me three days to figure that out.  Such a waste of my valuable time, yes.  As for self esteem, who's the one going on and on about themselves and needs constant reassurance.  I know my own worth and what I will NOT TOLERATE.  I do not need to boast my values to any person.  If you're too "bland" to see them that is all you.  You have no sense of humor, you show no interest except in that of yourself.  You are arrogant and quite frankly a (BLEEP).  So, yes I chose not to speak with you.  Me being the tolerant, forgiving person I am I decided to give you a second chance, but yet you proved my point once again.  I don't take too fondly of being gaslighted.  Lastly, perceiving me as  "a proper fat (BLEEP)  irl" makes me laugh.  That's such a polite way to talk to women.  Way to go!!!! Does it make you feel more like a "man" to demeanor women?  I happen to be 5' 10" and very attractive irl. Although I am far from being vain, unlike you.  Don't believe me?  Don't really care.  One thing is for sure, you will never know.  You are not nor will you ever be God's gift to women.  Matter of fact all you did was once again go on and on about yourself. Have fun (BLEEPING) yourself with your PROPER TINY PENIS.  It more than likely 100% is.  You're also a boring (BLEEP).  Your loss though sweetheart.....truly.....your loss.  The monster inside you is indeed NOT DEAD.  If anything it has overcome you.  Something to think about as you move forward.  Well played keyboard warrior!

And with all that said a fight broke out in the crowd when someone in a state of hysterical laughter agreed that he had a micropenis and that’s why his attempted relationships keep failing with women.

A local nightclub owner identifying himself only as “Chocolate Star”, chimed in to dispute the false accusations leading to a glitter fight in the street.

Witnesses were in shock as Christophe hopped off his toilet and ran outside while pulling up his pants and flashing everyone to continue his verbal rampage.  One witness said, perhaps he had a hemorrhoid flare-up and was acting out of pocket while another said she heard a rumor that he recently got ghosted by someone who made the right decision and he probably just snapped.

Known as a hothead and a master manipulator amongst the swinger and furry communities,  Christophe denies all accusations and threatened to call his public defender.

Jack’s Law and Taco Shack could not be reached for comments.

Upon further investigation into this situation more women have come forward for a total of 12 including, four furries, three tinies, two stripper bots, and a dragon.

He was sentenced to 6 months of house arrest, 52 ½ hours of community service as the resident heevahava at Spanky’s Horse Ranch, 7 anger management classes, and had to donate 55,000L to “Women are the future” charity fund.

Charges for indecent language and exposure near a public child avatar park are pending further investigation.

Other charges include a 2500L littering fine for glitter clean up, assault with a corn cob (investigation pending), animal abuse of a breedable cat he trampled while charging the crowd, lying on his Mcdonald’s resume, and claiming eight children not biologically related on last year’s taxes.

REAL LIFE – SECONDLIFE: MARRIAGES IN THE BALANCE. JOSH (THOMAS1 BELLIC) REPORTING

Have you ever run across a couple here in SL, and learned that they are actually an RL couple as well?  I was surprised to hear that it happens more often than I had thought.  It turns out, many SL couples have RL partners who engage in Life on the Grid as well.  In some cases, they live completely separate lives on the grid.  Other married couples bring that partnership with them into SecondLife, with fully integrated homes, Jobs, and friends.

I was able to find a group of individuals who were willing to speak to me – in some cases anonymously – about their experiences here.  Read on, as they share their stories.

We got together in the SL Enquirer conference room, and I scribbled furiously as these Dual-World Participants graciously shared their stories

Josh (Thomas1 Bellic) (JB):  Do you find that living life in both worlds presented any particular challenges, or do you find it enhances your RL relationship?

Callista Lachman (CL): There can be challenges having lives in both worlds.  Working with RL schedules and finding time for family, friends, and with each other.  We have been in SL for almost 15 years and over time have set some guidelines that have helped us navigate our time and relationships in SL.  I would say for the most part, SL has enhanced our RL relationship by letting us explore new things, meet new friends and recharged our sexual relationship

Anonymous Male 1 (AM1): The initial challenge was that I was very jealous when I first found out that my wife was playing in this virtual world and having relationships with other men.  After I learned more about it and created my own avatar and started having my own SL relationships, I was more comfortable with it and surprisingly it did enhance our RL relationship for a while. Now 10 years later we enjoy talking about our separate SL lives but I wouldn’t say it enhanced our RL relationship.

Kale Rayne (KR): I find it enhances our RL as well as provides us with an outlet for sexual fantasies, adventures, and some stress relief as well.

Anonymous Female 1 (AF1): When we were both active in SL it was a mutual understanding and there were no objections or challenges. SLex was a stimulant for our RL sex.

Anonymous Female 2 (AF2):  Living  life in both worlds does present some challenges but it doesn't enhance our  RL relationship.

Sam Hart: She got on and I watched her play for about a year,  Then I joined too.  Why should SHE get all the fun? LoL

Anonymous Female 3 (AF3):  I find it really has enhanced our relationship, in different ways at different times.  For us, seldom have we found it to be detrimental

Anonymous Female 4 (AF4):  Well...it is an "easier" alternative to RL dressing up, doing my hair, makeup, traveling to venues, and also less expensive... for example, I stayed in a wonderful SL Spa for the equivalent of only about $1

JB:  Do you interact much inworld?  Or do you pretty much pursue individual interests there?

MK:  When Sorcha is on SL, our time in SL is always together.

SK:   We have friends here that we love to hang out with. Manny DJs here and that's usually where we go hang out with our friends.

CL: We do interact in SL, but are not Partnered to each other.  When we came to SL, we helped each other figure out how everything worked... How to navigate the viewer.  How to put together our AVI.  How to build and most importantly, where to find things like Shoes & Hair! This was very important to cover up the Helmet hair and Flintstone feet everyone had back then.....lol   We've found we have different interests and agree that we each can pursue those interests separately.  Over time we each have found things that we like to do on our own and things we like to do together.

KR: Yeah. We are pretty much together when we are online. Unless she is either shopping or working in her stores or on an adventure. Then I would be working on the clubs or music.

Shelly Hart (SH):  Well, sometimes we do….and I LOVE it.  It can be fun, and it makes feel like I am a young lady in love all over again.

On the other hand, some couples pursued individual interests….

AF1:  We pretty much do our own thing.

AF2:  I agree.  My husband and I do not interact with each other in RL. But on occasion will send messages to each other if we have a question about SL.

AM1:  Yeah.  I’d say that 99% of the time we pursue our own interests.  A few times in 10 years we interacted together, but mostly we do our own thing.

JB:  How does having two separate lives impact your RL relationship?"

RK:  Not in the least we come here to have fun and enjoy each other and all that SL has to offer.

AF4:  I would say that SL was an essential way for us to socialize with other people in environments and in ways that resembled and felt like a normal pre-pandemic social life.   We could go out to clubs... listen to live music... shop... visit each other's homes and play games... which we did before the pandemic in a safe online environment

AF1:  We have always been supportive of each other and complete trust in both worlds, so it had no impact.

AF2:  I don't think it impacts our RL relationship. that always comes first.

CL: RL always comes first, but there are times when we arrange our RL schedule around things happening in SL. Coming to SL gives us time to get away from the stresses of the RL world and socialize with new friends. SL has helped me become more confident with my sensuality and sexuality which has been a boost for our RL intimate relationship.

AF3:  It for us has been very good., but then we have complete honesty about what we each do

AM1:  Well, we probably spend less time together because we are in separate rooms of the house on SL pursuing our own interests. But we will share and talk about some of our experiences that we've had on SL without being jealous about it. However, because we're both wrapped up in our SL lives it has taken away from our RL sex life in a big way.

JB:  Do you ever have Cybersex here with your RL Spouse?  What is that like for you?

MK:  Yes, we do.  We have found that our sex life on SL enhances our RL.

SR:  Yes, we do. It's great RL foreplay /me winks

AF3:  Yes. but mainly when one of us is away on business

CL: Yes, I do have Cybersex with my RL Spouse. It is a way for us to spend time together when we are apart from each other in RL. I feel Cybersex with my RL spouse is ok, but a little boring. I would rather have RL Sex with him, but it's a good warm-up like watching porn.

AM1:  I think we did once for a goof and laughed through it haha....so no.

KR:  As I said earlier yes, we do and often. It is satisfying as we can at times try things we may not be willing to try in RL.

AF2:  My RL husband and I do not have cybersex in SL.

AF1:  No, never... we much prefer real-life body contact

JB:  How do you feel about marriage in SL?

MK:  To each their own. It has worked for us since 2011.

SR:  To each their own. Everyone has the right to determine what's best for them. What's great about SL is that we can MAKE our own SL what we need it or want it to be.

AF1:  SL marriage is ok for a few, and works for a few, but for the rest of the SL population it's the dumbest thing ever, and at most, and this is a guess, 99% percent don't last more than 4 months tops... every 4th profile you read is someone "Starting Over" and guess why...

CL: : I can understand why some want to partner and marry in SL and I respect those relationships just as I do in RL, but it is not for me. Mostly what I have observed over my time in SL, is that most relationships fall apart shortly after they partner and marry.  It is nice to have someone to hang around with, but I don't want to spend all my time in SL with one person, I do that in RL.

AF2:  I personally think that marriage in SL is silly

SH:  I love it.  I think it shows respect for one another, and how much love can be true and not just a “play toy” game

Sam Hart: yeah, it can be fun

AF3:  It may be ok for some but for us we use SL to have relationships with others , which we would not do in RL

AM1:  Did that once...I feel it’s the kiss of death for the SL relationship...too many temptations...no one is faithful. If my wife got married on here it wouldn't affect our RL relationship.

KR:  If it actually means something to the ones doing it then yes go for it. If not just get partnered with no ceremony.

JB:  How do you deal with the knowledge that your spouse might be having sex with other people?"

MK:  But, isn’t that is one of our reasons for being on SL? To fulfill fantasies and share pleasure with close friends?

SR:  I agree.  This is a BIG reason that we are here in the first place.  It helps us fulfill fantasies.

AF1:  I'm ok with it, I think it's cool for various reasons. 1. My partner is stimulated. 2. More often than not, it's reenacted in our bedroom in RL

AF2: I can honestly say that it is quite upsetting but I can't deny him that. As long as his SL relationship does not cross over into RL.

Sam Hart:  I can deal with that.  I encourage her to have sex with others.

SH:  Well…it’s a sexual fantasy for most people.  And yes, he does encourage me to have sex with others in SL.

CL:  I know my spouse has sexual relationships with others as do I. We each have special friends and sometimes we get together and swing with them. I know who he spends time with, and he knows who I spend time with. We don't hide or sneak around behind each other’s back. I know when he is with someone, but I don't need or want to know the details.

AM1:  When I first found out that she was on SL I was insanely jealous about that...10 years later and playing on SL myself it doesn’t bother me knowing she's having pixel sex...as long as I'm not watching it.  lol

KR:  It's not a big deal, she expressed to me that she would like to play with others and I'm fine with that. It's her fantasy and I will help her fulfill it any way I can . I trust her completely and she never hides anything from me. As for me either I will watch her or join in. But I never play with others alone by MY choice.

So, there you have it, folks.  Is RL helped or hindered by SL relationships? The answer is, and I can say this beyond a shadow of doubt…..uhhh…..Maybe?

Thanks for Reading - JB

SPOTLIGHT ON LIAM YOUNGBLOOD - AN UP AND COMING MUSICIAN IN SECOND LIFE

Second Life is a virtual land of opportunities for people from all over the world to engage in special interest activities and even step out of their comfort zone and try new things. You can find everyday people getting involved in businesses as well as entertainment. Some second life members showcase their talents and others are just beginning.

Liam Youngblood is one of those people who has found his circle of friends and feels blessed to be able to get involved in the entertainment industry in Second Life. He loves meeting new friends and was encouraged to enter the weekly drawing at the Sunday Showcase at Terry’s place.  He won the spotlight feature! At first, he was surprised and unsure what to say. He was assured no matter who you are in Second Life, everyone has a story. Here’s Liam’s.

Interview with Liam Youngblood

SLE: Where are you from and how did you discover Second Life?

Liam: I am from the USA. I currently live in Iowa. SLT+2. I found my way to SL through a google search, after having frequent issues with The Sim 4 and wanting to find a similar game. I'm an avid baseball fan, managing a fantasy team in Out Of The Park (OOTP). The MLB season had also ended, leaving me with free time.

SLE: I think many virtual world gamers have heard of the SIMS or have even played it. That is how I started! Aside from the interests you mentioned,  I see that you are very involved with Breedables in Second Life. What do you do in-world?

Liam: I work for BioBreeds as a Chat Moderator, in a Customer Service Representative role. As the holiday approaches you can find me as the Chief Elf with BioBreeds Special Events. I am a Manager at The Breedables Farm (TBF) owned by ƤЄƦƝίℒℒЄ ӇДℒЄ (pernille80). It is a breedables sim that provides rentals amongst other things. I am also an assistant & backup auctioneer at the TBF Auction House, as well as Moon's Myst owned by Tяemaуne ๖ζ͜͡   Ecliρse (tremayne.barbosa) & ℒʋɲɑriɑ ๖ζ͜͡  Ecliρse (lunaria.eclipse).

SLE: Wow it looks like you do a lot in the breedable community. We see you a lot at Terry’s Open Mic, normally people don’t want to go there. :) Jk. We love it there! What other places do you like to visit and perform?

Liam: The safest possible answer would be simply too many to mention! I have had the opportunity to perform at several welcoming venues with Holly and Winter. Each venue tends to have a vibe that is unique to itself causing the performance to take on a life of its own. A normal weekly schedule might involve. An early Sunday morning at Spirit of the Outback (SOTO) with the addition of Paul Nowles, where I'm often dressed up like Angus Young, in Aussie fashion. Starting off the work week with friends at either Night Owl, where I'm also given the chance to perform on stage in support of Lyric Serendipity or at ღ ŞŧíииĄ -Şкẏ ღ  (xstinnax)'s Meadow, a natural laid back environment and venue where I can play my tree stump guitar from {Why Not?}. A treasured birthday present. Tuesday morning at Cafe Musique followed by an afternoon at Lakeside Pavilion, which always makes for a grand event with space for the overflow crowd. Midweek can vary, recently having had the opportunity to perform at a new venue called glow, staffed by many supportive friends. Thursdays performing as a member of Holly's Hooligan's at The Warehouse. A venue, with the surrounding community, where I recently placed my Youngbloods storefront. Ending the workweek at The Blue's Cove, who provided me with my first opportunity to sing live, in second life, with their Open Mic. I also find myself frequently supported by and attending, Love Kats, Bugatti's, Swamp Water Bluz, SheWorthy Pub, Southern Nights, Zack's Road House, The Black Diamond, The Sapphire Beach Club, Crabby's & Synful Sync. My live solo career is currently aided by The Elf Bar. The NOT Bad Management Calendar can provide a more extensive list and provide locations. Found @ https://tinyurl.com/u3nx4h28

Holly's Hooligans consists of Doner Daxter on bass, Ivar Frost (ivarfrost) on drums, Kring Mavendorf on lead guitar with Lιαм Mαɗɗσx ƘιƖƖαмαя (liammaddox) on rhythm guitar.

{Why Not?}

SLE: I love all the name-dropping you did! Kudos to all the performers and venue owners out there that get the attention they deserve! Can you tell us about NOT Bad Management?

Liam: Owned and Operated by Kaysie Michigan. Featuring 4 of the best performers in SL. HσƖƖყ GιƖҽʂ (hollygiless.heartsong), Aaron Cabott Jones (aaroncabottjones), Acoustic Energy (acousticenergy.nitely), ll ƜIƝƬƐɌ ll (11winter11). Working to bring happiness and pleasure into Second Life with each show.

SLE: These are all great performers you mentioned and we do go to their shows when we are able. In fact, I recently saw you performing with Winter and also at Terry’s Open mic. You are a busy one. What is Liam Youngblood’s Clubhouse, can you tell us a little about that?

Liam: Liam Youngblood's Clubhouse is my recently created group. It will be the start of a personal community, where I can provide news, updates, and upcoming events. It will also give me the opportunity to connect and grow with those individuals who have an interest in knowing more about me or the communities and causes I support.

SLE: We can help with that :) How would you describe your style?

Liam: It is a common desire to be placed in a sub-group for easy comparison. But the reality is many of us are a diverse blend. I'd like to be seen as a supportive individual who would care more about the collective, than personal gain. Growing from a communal strength. I desire each day to be a benefit. Some days I'm more successful, due to opportunities given or energy mustered. From a musical and creative standpoint, I'd simply say, raw and direct.

SLE: I like that… a collective gain approach. It is true that it gives people the drive to improve.  What genre of music do you like to perform?

Liam: I believe my sound would best be referred to as Indie Folk. My guitar hero being John Frusciante whose solo work is often classified as Avante Garde, I have yet to reach that talent level. Singer/Songwriter could also be a quality label, performing songs from artists such as Jason Isbell, The White Buffalo & Benjamin Tod.

SLE: When taking a shower, what is the go-to song you belt out that you don’t want anyone knowing you either know the words to or sing it?

Liam: John 5's cover of Michael Jackson's Beat it. This is a beautiful song from another guitar hero of mine and makes for a multi-layered joke, as it's also an instrumental track. In seriousness, my secret song is Something To Dance For/TTYLXOX Mash-Up by Zendaya & Bella Thorne.

SLE:  Have you ever written your own music, and can you tell our readers what instruments you either have trained in or currently play?

Liam: I have written several songs in my lifetime. I do have a project I'd like to work on in the future. Writing songs through the eyes of Liam. I play several instruments which include guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and dobro. I have also taught others to play these instruments at some point in my life. Solo work I focus on acoustic guitar aided at times by a foot tambourine and harmonica. While in bands I tend to move to the bass, as many musicians I've worked with focus on guitar.

SLE: Your avatar is rather different for a performer, can you tell us why you decided on that particular one?

Liam: It's the unique way the world works and the journey therein. I did not set out to live this life, but am happy I have. It came about 4+ years ago, as my parents were searching for a child they could trust. Within 2 months of existence, BioBreeds found me, their staff befriended me, and my life truly began. There has been no looking back.

* Image was taken by Cathy Kærann (catherine.kira) who owns Kaerann's Studio Entertainment.

SLE: As long as you are happy that is what matters. You obviously know a lot of performers, Winter and Holly for example. Have you ever, or do you ever plan on dual streaming or would you like to. Or is there someone else you would like to dual-stream with?

Liam: There are no current plans. I am still in the early stages of establishing my live music, and working with the technical side of bringing RL to SL. I'm rarely one to turn down opportunities given, and there would be interest when the time is right. Matching styles, finding common songs that allow both artists to add their signature sound surely can be no easy feat. I believe a project like that would be best suited for a charity event. As for other artists, Jack Dryden's music has a folk quality which I believe my sound could easily blend with, in a pleasing manner. Aufwie Mysterious plays with unique energy and Indie Folk quality I enjoy, I could envision a future project with promising results.

SLE: That’s understandable. Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Liam: I have had the opportunity to support Together as One (TAO). TAO works with Children's Charities. There will be a TAO Christmas Dec 10-12th. Believe in the magic of Christmas is our tagline. This season's fundraiser will be for Feed a Smile. Together as One! We can feed so many children in need. There will also be the opportunity to provide reading materials to aid in their learning and development as growing human beings. It's a movement I'm strongly behind and believe in. I believe it's gaining ground. During the most recent fall festival, a meet and greet had been implemented. This allowed me and others to learn more about the artists who chose to donate their time and talents, connect with them on a more personal level, and I believe strengthen the community as a whole. I can't say enough good words about the individuals who devote their time, and community members who give their continued support.

Filthy Fluno’s Return to Second Life at The Janus Gallery - November 6-7th 1-6pm SLT

Filthy Fluno is a Second Life Art legend. His shows made waves in the SL art community and RL alike. It’s not often that a Second Life artist is so successful that the New York Times Magazine covers them. You can see the article here (https://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/08/magazine/08fluno-t.html). I know it may be behind a paywall, so here’s a quote: "CERTAINLY, FILTHY FLUNO is not the first artist to realize that in order to sell his paintings, he needs to sell himself. He does, however, work at it with impressive zeal. Every day he makes new friends and cultivates new contacts, edging himself and his work — a collection of expressionistic oil paintings and vibrant, graffiti-laced pastels — just a little bit farther into a universe that to others might appear huge and indifferent, but as Filthy sees it is stuffed with possibility and also potential customers. To this end, you will often find him wandering around art openings and dance parties, dressed in a spiffy suit and pair of sneakers, trying earnestly to chat up every person in the room." - Sara Corbett The New York Times Magazine March 5, 2009 In my mind the name, Filthy Fluno, stands alongside SL artists like Starax Statosky, Bryn Oh, Toysoldier Thor, and Milly Sharple. His work, his zeal, his personality impacted the community as a whole, and (on a personal note) he was one of the people who inspired me to bring my art into SL. After 10 years away from the grid, he is back with a whole new body of work, and the same level of zeal he was known for 12 years ago when that article was written. Enough gushing from me, let's get into the nitty-gritty. You want to know the details right?

FOLLOW THE SUN FESTIVAL IS BACK!

GeekSpeak – Underground living! Join the discussion Oct 30th at 12pm SLT

The largest cities on Earth are probably partly underground now.  But in the future it could be that we will all need to live underground.  The surface may become uninhabitable for various reasons, such as global warming, nuclear war or the destruction caused by volcanoes.

Or perhaps it will just make sense to move underground.  The temperature is stable and the surface can be used for farming or recreation.  It could become fashionable for houses to be built underground.  And an underground city would encourage tourists.

Would it be possible for everyone on the planet, say 10 billion people, to live underground?  How would we grow plants?  Would we be able to keep animals?  Would we be able to live without sunlight? Would you enjoy living underground?

Come and discuss underground cities with us.  Bring a spade, and some strong friends!

IM Vulcan Viper, who teaches a meditation class at 1pm SLT every Wednesday in the GeekSpeak auditorium, if you have ideas for new subjects.
