One day I’m gonna bust. Blow up on this society ...” Those are the words of the late rapper Tupac Amaru Shakur. One of the most prolific artists of all times, 2Pac, as he was also known, could never have imagined how the meaning of those words would change, and how big he would actually “blow up”. Taken from us at the too early age of 25, Tupac has sold over 75 million records worldwide as of 2010, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Even after his untimely death on September 13, 1996, Tupac has “released” 15 albums and counting, a number that doesn't not include the endless compilations, remixes, singles, and other releases, and is three times as many albums after his death than before.

Although the themes of most of Tupac's songs are of social injustice, hardship, crime, racism, and conflict, Tupac has also been known for writing song about love, fellowship, unity and his faith in God. Despite the fact that some of his lyrics have been considered, controversial his message have proven to be inspirational, moving, and motivational.

Considered by many as one of the most influential and compelling rappers of all times Tupac Shakur was a multi-talented artist whose career also included being an actor, record producer, poet, screenwriter, published author, and activist. And almost two decades after his death, Tupac continues to gather new followers, making his words just as relevant today as there were when he died.

As a tribute to the legendary Tupac Shakur, Black Soul Rhythms Radio will be presenting
