The March 2016 Issue of Windlight Magazine is now published and available! The October 2015 Issue of Windlight Magazine is Now Available!


The featured story for this issue will be Kaya Angel, as Windlight explores architectural arts. This issue also features stories on novelist Huckleberry Hax, Nonprofit Commons Community Manager, Rhiannon, the upcoming Burn 2 event in Second Life, Tripp Nitely, and we take a look at Charity in Second Life. On the art scene we explore the adult and sensual Alanis Gallery and the Josef K Galleria. And if you love hats, we have a sneak peak at Art in Hats 2015. GRAND OPENING OF THE SEPTEMBER 2015 WINDLIGHT ART GALLERY EXHIBITION September 9, 2015



The September 2015 Exhibition at The Windlight Art Gallery will open on September 8, 2015. A formal opening reception will take place on September 12, 2015 at 2pm slt and feature live performer Caasi Ansar.
The September 2015 exhibition features the September Windlight Art Fellows: Sparkie Cyberstar, Canary Beck, Trav Solar, Saoiriseheart Resident, Serenitee Bliss, Theadreem Resident, Eeraftr Resident, Lala Lightfoot, Wintergeist Resident, Kayly Iali, Theda Tammas, and Bamboo Barnes
About the Windlight Artist Fellowship Program:
The Artist Fellowship program will provide free gallery space to both new and established artists for a period of 30 days. This program is open to both new and established artists in Second Life. The goal of the program is to provide promotional and artistic resources to artists in Second Life.

Grand Opening of Windlight Magazine’s Art Gallery & August Windlight Artist Fellows Exhibition- August 1, 2015


DATE: August 1, 2015


Windlight Magazine, Second Life’s newest magazine about the arts, will open it’s brand new Windlight Art Gallery with a group exhibition on August 1, 2015. The opening reception will be on August 8, 2015 at 1pm slt and feature live performer Anek Fuchs. A closing reception will be held on August 23, 2015 at 3pm slt and will also feature live performer Anek Fuchs.

The exhibition will feature August 2015 Windlight Art Gallery Fellows Artemis Greece Resident, Richie Narstrom, Seb Arkright, Bones Delicioso, Ozymandi Resident, Ilrya Chardin, Sandi Benelli, Myra Wildmist, SereneDean Resident, Roffellos Resident, Bluesrocker Resident, ChrysteRox Resident, and Wicca Merlin. Many of the works are original pieces by each artist in a variety of scenery and art mediums.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THE DEBUT OF WINDLIGHT MAGAZINE FIRST ISSUE: JULY 2015



On July 1, 2015, Windlight Magazine made its official debut to the publishing world of Second Life. Windlight Magazine is a publication about the art and photography world of Second Life. The goal of Windlight Magazine is to support artists, photographers, galleries, and related events. Windlight Magazine will be published monthly and is available via in Second Life kiosks and online.

Windlight Magazine is led by Publisher & Editor in Chief, John (Johannes1977 Resident) in Second Life. John is a budding artist himself, with art exhibitions at The Rose Gallery, The Roxeter, and The Virtual Chelsea Hotel.

Writers and contributors at Windlight Magazine include established blogger Inara Pey of Modem World, Second Life artist and curator Shakti Adored,  blogger Kara Trapdoor, veteran model and blogger Emma Portilo, and blogger newcomer Veruca nee Vee Tammas.
The first issue of Windlight Magazine features artist Bryn Oh, photographer Skip Staheli, and Second Life Art Gallery kiosk creator and art enthusiast Susan Steinbeck.

About Windlight Magazine
Windlight Magazine is a monthly Second Life based art and photography magazine. In addition to the magazine, Windlight recently established an artist fellowship program, where artists can obtain free gallery space for a period of 30 days. Windlight is also an avid support of other Second Life organizations and events and recently became a media partner of Rock Your Rack, a fundraiser organized to support the National Breast Cancer Association and a sponsor of the Siren Productions organized event, “21.”
