Angee Seetan is one of the most popular singer in SL, with her really, what you hear is what you get. She has been singing for many years online and off, her musical style includes a wide range from country to soft rock, pop to jazz. If she likes it she sings it.

She is one more example of 100% “virtual” performer, who found in SL a great chance to share her music with a great number of persons from all over the world, she's also an awesome person, and here below you will find our conversation about music and (second) life.

SANDY:where are you from?
ANGEE:Thank you Sandy for inviting me to this interview. I am honored to participate and to be featured on this great online magazine!

I was raised in the Alabama/Florida region of the United States loving the surf and sand, living within 4 miles of the coast all of my life.

SANDY:How long have you been playing music?ANGEE:I have been singing for 10 years now rl and internet.

SANDY:How would you describe your style?ANGEE:I guess my style is typically just being me....I don't always sing a song the way it was first recorded. I sing it the way it strikes me at the time.

SANDY:Which acts have most inspired you?ANGEE:Wow too many to list....anyone from the rock band Heart to country divas of the 70's to now and the smooth sounds from ladies like Barbra Streisand, Celine and Diana Krall.

SANDY:Except for other musicians what else inspires you?ANGEE:The feel of a song, the deep meaning behind a love song or just the carefree frivolity of an uptempo beat.

SANDY:What has influenced you to get your to where you are today musically?ANGEE:Well I would have to say friends who I have met along the way from when I first sang . Their comradery made me love performing in front of people where before I sang for my children :) or just while I was working on other things.

SANDY:Which song would you most like to have written?ANGEE:My Way....Frank Sinatra

SANDY:How did you discover it?
ANGEE:My good friends Satin Galli and Erin68 Frog brought me here.I remember Satin telling me , "Ang you are not gonna believe this program I want you to come with me to....It's gonna freak you out at first, but you are going to love it!" He was right.

SANDY:Did you ever think to use your real name for what you usually do in Second Life?
ANGEE:Well it would depend on what the future brings I suppose. But part of the appeal of Sl is the anonymity. I think we all appreciate that at times.

SANDY:What you like to do here in Second Life when you are not playing?
ANGEE:I like to explore, listen to other performers and do some building here and there.

SANDY:Do you like shopping or going to music concerts or art exhibits?
ANGEE:I like to pick a sim from the showcase or sometimes on the grid-wide map, land and comb the place . I have found some wonderful spots this way. Ohhh shopping, who doesn't love that part!.

SANDY:Do you think SL can be a valid showcase for your RL works?
ANGEE:Yes Sl is and through it.lead the way for me to get into other internet based musically oriented endeavors. I am involved in a few projects and am excited about them and I'm really enjoying the experiences.

SANDY:Where do you see yourself a year from now:will Second Life still exist?
ANGEE:Well I hope to be around if SL is still up and running and by all indications it will be. I plan to continue singing in the venues and privately. I just love to sing and of course when you have other people enjoying themselves listening or just being part of the group then it just makes it more fun. This next year I will also be doing some travelling in RL. I have reached a turning point in my life and I am going to see where my real footsteps will lead me. Nothing ventured nothing gained!
