Come Sail Away with Me

hark, now hear the sailors cry,

smell the sea, and feel the sky

let your soul & spirit fly, into the mystic...”   Van Morrison

Craig Ktaba, maker of dreams... invites you to the launch of the Ktaba Cirya,

Tue., 25 August 2015, @ 2pm SLT at GrandAnse Praslin

Cirya is inspired by the classic schooners, which were highly desirable boats for many reasons, not the least of which is their good looks, and classic lines.  Schooners are fast, by comparison to other sailboats, point well, and have generally all-around good sailing characteristics, all of which you will find on Cirya.

So to all the sailors out there, experienced or otherwise come on over to see this spectacular yacht designed by Craig Ktaba.  Exploring the boundaries of  virtual reality and reality.
Explore, Dream Discover.

Calling all sailors, aviators and role players - Lacy Muircastle reporting ...

The Seychelles Isles secures additional open water

IrishGent's relentless negotiations with Linden Labs has paid off in the form of an additional 13 sims of open water.

The sims will start going live during the course of next week.

The proposed use for these sims is sailing, aviation, and battle roleplay.  All things being equal it is possible that additional sims will be added to the initial 13 towards the end of the year, bringing the total to 30 additional open water sims.

More info with regard to administering the use of the water will be available in due course.

In the meantime come on over and see what the Seychelles Isles can offer you.

Seychelles Isles Coast Guard providing peace of mind - Lacy Muircastle reporting ....

The exclusive Seychelles Isles Estate offers its residents peace of mind among other things.

Seychelles Isles being a sailing, boating and flying community located on the Linden Ocean with access to the Blake Sea require the services of The Coast Guard. The SICG exists to defend and preserve the Seychelles Isles. They protect the personal safety and security of the residents; the marine transportation system and infrastructure; the natural and economic resources; and the territorial integrity of the estate – from both internal and external threats, virtual or otherwise. They protect these interests in Seychelles Isles ports, inland waterways, along the coasts, and on open waters.

Spotlight - Sailing the Linden Seas - Lacy Muircastle reporting ....

Sailing is a passion bordering on an obsession for many both in RL and SL alike.  The sailing community in Second Life is a tight knit family who has done a phenomenal job of making sailing possible in SL.

Coastal Waterway
Avid SL sailors and social sailors alike may be interested to know that at the beginning of October the Seychelles Isles (formally the Irish Estates) made a historic move to a new location which connects directly with the Mainland. This new location merges with the Coastal Waterway near the Northeast outflow of Dire Strait, offering residents of the estate many more open water sailing opportunities. From that location it’s a quick sail North to Corsica, South to Blake Sea, or Southwest to Bingo Strait, Nautilus City, and Satori continent.
