On Wednesday, April 30th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM SLT, we’re cranking the volume to 11 and throwing down an epic night of righteous tunes, killer vibes, and totally tubular talent. This ain’t your average open mic — this is a full-on battle of the bands with an L$5000 prize and a spotlight feature in the SL Enquirer up for grabs. So grab your ax (guitar, duh), warm up those pipes, and get ready to blow minds and melt faces.

🎸 Our dynamic duo of hosts is back to keep things rad and rowdy: the legendary Ninja Antwoord, a true virtual rock god with a flair for the dramatic, and the sensational Wolfie Starfire, a vocal queen who brings the thunder and the heart. These two will guide you through a night of gnarly performances, neon dreams, and musical madness.

🔥 This month’s show is powered by SecondLife.music, the freshest new platform on the scene — dedicated to turning up the volume on virtual live music. With their righteous support, this event is bigger, badder, and bolder than ever, giving both up-and-comers and seasoned performers a stage to shine.

💿 So tease that hair, throw on some fingerless gloves, and lace up your high-tops — it’s time to moonwalk into the spotlight and show Second Life what you’ve got. This is your moment to live loud, sing proud, and totally own the stage.

📅 Don’t flake — mark your calendar, tune up, and show up. We’re talkin’ neon nights, big dreams, and a whole lotta music magic.

⚡️The stage is set. The mic is hot. The only thing missing… is YOU. Let’s rock! ⚡

HOLIDAY MASCOT SERIES: Interview with The Easter Bunny 2025- Making Amends -Lanai Jarrico Reporting

I’ve gone an entire year since speaking to the Easter Bunny. He was upset about a prank gone wrong when I “accidentally” switched his shampoo with Nair and he spent the better part of the year in hiding while growing back his fur. After tracking him down at a local park,  I apologized, and he accepted. We sat down to partake in some easter grass together.

Lanai: Hey you, I just wanted to apologize for that prank I pulled on you last year. I can’t believe the other mascots didn’t warn you. In my defense,  that was one wild mascot party. Whatever strain of grass that was passed around last year. It was potent and I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. Quite frankly I was high AF and it was funny at the time.

Easter Bunny: *rolls eyes* Don’t remind me. I was so pissed at you for that. I almost bombed your house with spoiled easter eggs but got chased away by that feral thing you call a cat.

Lanai: You mean my next-door neighbor? He’s not a cat, he’s a furry and I’m glad he had my back. I would have been pissed and this pranking back and forth would have escalated to the next level of friendly combat.

Easter Bunny: No worries! I don’t have the time or energy to continue with the animosity and fallout from any further drama with you Ms. Jarrico. The other mascot and I would like to form a truce. We understand the nature of your work and are willing to work with you under the conditions you stop pranking and harassing us.

Lanai: Fine.

Easter Bunny: You are a competitive and fierce woman. You have proven that so I am glad we agree on peace. So, I assume you want to do an interview about Easter. How can I help?

Lanai: Thank you for the flowers. I appreciate it. *sparks the doobie and takes a hit, coughs and passes it* So, last year, how did the day end up going for you?

Easter Bunny:*takes a hit* Well… after searching the marketplace for a suitable bunny onesie, I was able to deliver easter baskets across the grid without shame and embarrassment. I even made a  new friend. *passes it back*

Lanai: Oh Yeah? I’m glad it all worked out and Easter went on without delay. I heard about your falling out with the Lucky Charms Leprechaun back in mascot College. Sounds like you can use a new buddy.

Easter Bunny: OMG that little imp. I got kicked off  Mascot College campus because he didn’t know how to keep his mouth shut about the little grass operation we were involved in. For the record he is the one with all the connections. I was just distributing products that he supplied.

Lanai: I see. He was a snitch and you took the downfall. Yea I got the sense he couldn’t be trusted to do a crime around.  So, Tell me about your new friend and then we can discuss your Easter plans. *Takes a hit and passes it back*

Easter Bunny:  TY.  *sparks it back up takes a hit and goes into a coughing fit*

OMG…That’s some good shit right there! Anyway,  During my Easter delivery route, I had to take a potty break. I came across a vampire crying in the alley near a local Blood bank and I was compelled to go over and talk to him. It turns out the Vampire community is in a crisis. There’s a shortage of blood and many of their drinking spots are trying to pass off cherry Kool Aid as an alternative. When I offered him a hug, he tried to bite me. He snapped back to reality when I slapped him. He apologized and offered to take me to a place where they have the best lap dancers on the grid.

Lanai: So that’s how peeps make up nowadays? So, What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Easter Bunny: What?

Lanai: Anyway,  I meant to say. Poor Vampires. I hope they figure that out. We don’t need a biting epidemic in Second life.

Easter Bunny: I agree.  So,  this year my plans were to make my own chocolate easter bunnies with some THC infusion to go along with the Easter basket deliveries. I also wanted to set up a place where avies can go and take pictures with yours truly.

Lanai: Isn’t it kinda weird to make chocolate easter bunnies? Humans don’t go around eating people shaped candy. Why would you encourage eating bunnies?  Why not do infused lollipops or gummies? Peeps seem to enjoy those types of candies too. Also, if you want to offer pictures with the easter bunny, I’ll set up a spot at The SL Enquirer Media Center for you, You can also host the annual Easter Egg decorating contest.

Easter Bunny: Hmmmm. I never thought about it that way. I guess you’re right. I’ll see what I can come up with and that would be great!

Lanai: Easter isn’t all about candy and grass filled baskets. What else can you tell me about this holiday and how did you get involved?

Easter Bunny: Well, Bunnies symbolize fertility and new life. We also represent the beginning of spring and the promise of new beginnings.

Lanai: I get the part about rabbits being known for their prolific breeding habits so the symbol of fertility is fitting.  Did you know back in the 1920’s up until the 1960’s they used rabbits for pregnancy testing? They would inject a rabbit with a woman’s urine, kill them, and examine their ovaries. If they were enlarged, it showed that the woman was pregnant.

Easter Bunny: Well damn that's an uncomfortable fun fact. I’m glad I’m male!

Lanai: You’re welcome. I’m all about educating the public on facts that don’t make sense. Anyway,  so do you have anything else you’d like to talk about or share with our readers before you get started on Easter preps?

Easter Bunny: I just want everyone to have a Happy Easter and to remember to always read the labels to the candy you eat. I don’t want to be held responsible for anyone getting so high they do stuff like switching shampoo with nair or being so plastered they can’t remember the day and the real reason for the holiday.

Lanai: Well said.

HAPPY EASTER YA’LL

The Burrow Coffee Company Reopens-Sheristrawberri Reporting

One of Second Life’s longest running and most popular casual gathering spots has re-opened following a major overhaul of the sim. The Burrow Coffee Co. is open once again and welcoming people back in.

“We began in 2009 in Second Life. Our original name was The Pixel Bean Coffeehouse. A handful of years later we re-branded to what we are today, Burrow Coffee Company,” said Harlow Heslop, the owner and founder of this famed “java joint.”

The name, according to Harlow, is something she randomly came up with. “I was seeking a name that felt cozy and comfortable. And I thought of how little woodland creatures often reside in burrows and it felt fitting for the space.”

Harlow pointed out that cafes and coffeehouses in RL serve as gathering places for members of the community and are a place to make connections.

“I felt SL could use something like that. I also really love coffee and I'm a bit of an addict in RL,” she added with a smile.

“We offer a community of like-minded people, a safe space for anyone to spend time at. We have DJ events, live musicians on occasion, game nights, poetry nights, and more” said Harlow. “And honestly, it's a nice spot to AFK when you need to without being harassed by people,” she added with a laugh.

Harlow pointed out that over the years there have been many changes to the look and layout of the coffeehouse.

“We've been through many different buildings and designs over the years, but our community and concept has stayed very similar,” she said. She describes that community and concept as cozy, happy, interactive with a touch of realism.

This current re-model was designed to incorporate some of the numerous changes that have been happening in SL.

“I wanted to upgrade to something PBR since that is a new feature in Second Life,” said Harlow. “I like to try and keep up with technology and offer the community new things.”

Harlow created the all mesh building and décor herself. She pointed out that she had begun working on the new building a couple of months before the official re-model. She is quite adept at creating such things as she also owns and operates the store Spruce.

“I run a shop called Spruce and make original mesh creations, so I figure why not build my own cafe?” Harlow said she actually began working on the building a couple of months before the official start of the re-model.

The building and the sim as a whole offers many comfortable places for people to relax, meet others, chat, and enjoy a comfortable time. There is plenty of seating both inside and out to accommodate either a group or for people to hold intimate conversations.

The sim also features a stage and dance floor along with a place for those who enjoy table games to play a few.

Regular events are held at the coffee shop and include music, DJs, discussions, and even gaming events. “We have a google calendar you can access via are our socials in the foyer,” said Harlow.

“We actually will have an event once monthly on the first Sunday of each month starting in May that is an inventory sorting hangout,” she added.

When you land at The Burrow Coffee Co. you are requested to use the shared environment which is changed up on a regular basis. The same holds true for the coffee shop’s music which varies from the occasional DJ to an eclectic stream.

“The cafe is very much a group effort. I have an amazing management team filled with wonderful people who really make this place special,” said Harlow, citing that the ever changing windlights are done by Harvey Blackwood and the superb landscaping was done by Aria Christen.

The Burrow Coffee Co. re-opened the first week in April and is currently an Editor’s Pick in the Destination Guide.

“We've been on there so many times over the years. Sometimes we submit to be on it and other times we've been chosen as an Editor's Pick where Linden Lab picks us,” added Harlow.

But that’s to be expected of one of the longest running and most popular gather places in SL.

LUXE Paris LOOK of the YEAR A FRIENDLY AND EXCITING FASHION COMPETITION FOR ALL!

The year 2025 will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the prestigious LUXE Paris LOOK of the YEAR style competition!

Created for the pleasure of fashion and to promote the diversity of beauty, this competition has brought together and made thousands of women of all styles shine.

OPEN TO WOMEN & MEN
Yes! All women, and since last year all men, who have stylistic qualities and who know how to express elegance, the spearhead of LUXE Paris fashion, can participate! Last year, Wyatt Frost Reyes showed so much style that he won third place, ahead of seven beautiful women finalists.

Second place went to TwinkieBean for her stylish and striking look while the prestigious LOOK of the YEAR title was awarded to VanessaJane for her graceful and radiant elegance.

EVERYONE CAN WIN!
PROFESSIONALS OR AMATEURS!
Even if many top models participate each year in this competition, we have also seen beginners rise to the top ranks and even win. Indeed, the organization offers tailor-made training for all the finalists.

From the beginners, the judges will expect them to transform into professionals through hard work and passion while the team of mentors will provide them with all the necessary ammunitions.

In the professionals, the judges will want to see progression, refinement, the achievement of new goals.

During this training and throughout the different stages of the competition, the mentors, also members of the jury, will also monitor the ambassadorial qualities of the participants. Because our LOOK of the YEAR will become the official ambassador of LUXE Paris for an entire year.

L$50,000 CASH TO THE WINNER!
L$10,000 TO THE RUNNERS UP!
In addition to offering L$50,000 cash to the winner and L$10,000 to each of the two runners up, LUXE Paris will also distribute them a whole range of gifts, offered by our sponsors.

The finalists will not be forgotten because they will receive 10 LUXE Paris outfits of their choice, a L$1500 gift card from the jeweler ZURI and a L$1500 gift card from MY BAGS by Mila Blauvelt, to prepare for the grand finale.

FREE LUXE Paris OUTFIT TO ALL PARTICIPANTS
Also, all candidates will receive a free LUXE Paris ensemble upon receipt of their first submission! This means that everyone is a winner and that's without counting all the pleasure and radiance the LUXE Paris LOOK of the YEAR contest brings to all participants.

Each of the 5 weeks of the semifinal, the photos of the top six candidates will be published on our website at LUXEParis.online and here in The SL Enquirer. The Spanish magazine SL Confidencial will also feature the semifinalists in its monthly editions.

EASY TO PARTICIPATE!
Do you want to submit your application? It's easy! Put on a LUXE Paris outfit, style it your way, take a picture (snapshot or 1024 X 1024), put your legal name in the title and send it FULL PERM to the avatar LUXEParisLOOKoftheYEAR inworld.

Who knows? Maybe it will be your turn to live the great LUXE Paris LOOK of the YEAR adventure! Nothing to lose and a beautiful LUXE Paris set to win!

THE LIVE FINALE
Once we have 30 semifinalists, the jury will review their photos and choose 12 finalists. The finalists will then be invited to meet the judges in person at an elegant brunch during which they will have to present a short written speech explaining why they would be a good ambassador for LUXE Paris.

The big twelve will also participate to a live fashion show on an imposed theme, during which the jury will make its final decision. Remember that LUXE Paris is looking for an ambassador, a woman or a man with style, panache and charisma.

VANESSAJANE'S TIPS
TENTH OF THE DYNASTY LOOK OF THE YEAR
"My best advice to participants is to be genuinely authentically yourself", says VanessaJane, LOOK of the YEAR 2024-2025, when we ask her to share her experience.

"When I first participated in LOTY in 2022 I was too caught up in what I thought I was
expected to be, how I was expected to style, and I strangled myself as a result!

"But last year I competed for the fun and the opportunity to style, threw out any expectations and made a promise to myself that I would not lose 'me'! And I won!!!

"Mika and Paris, the founders and chief designers of LUXE Paris, want a genuine relationship with their ambassador so I have come to understand that it is vital to reveal the real you when you compete."

The unisex 2025 LOOK of the YEAR competition is a production of LUXE Paris and ONE On ONE Agency in collaboration with Zuri Jewelry, In-Nova Modelling Academy, My Bags by Mila Blauvelt, Hayabusa Design, SL Confidencial magazine, The SL Enquirer, Swank Events, Womenstuff & Menstuff groups, ProPose, The Latin Quarter and Javi Gearz Video.

You want to know more? Visit our website at luxeparis.online or pick up our LUXE Paris magazine - Special Edition LOOK of the YEAR at our main store on Bao/56/72/26.
