The 8th Annual Sunburst Premier Grid Ent. Caribbean Carnival 2017 is on the way! Sept. 1st-2nd 2017

The 8th Annual Sunburst Premier Grid Ent. Caribbean Carnival 2017 is on the way!
I have good news and bad news.  Let’s get the bad news out the way first: summer in the U.S. is more than half way over.  The good news is that can only mean carnival season is about to begin.  There is excitement building for this year’s Caribbean carnival which is currently in preparation mode.  The SPG Ent. Caribbean carnival annually has been the largest Caribbean carnival on the Second Life platform.  The carnival weekend will encompass two days of acknowledgement and celebration of Caribbean, Afro-Latino, and Pan-African culture.  This year’s festivities will be held on September 1st and 2nd of 2017.

As the entertainment lineup is being secured, I’m excited to announce the addition of the (best Caribbean DeeJay’s on the grid), Break Beatz Entertainment’s (BBE), Reggae Team of DJ’s Cinfull, Grock, Andre Dvere, Vixen, Fifty, and Raidous as the featured DeeJay’s for this year’s Caribbean carnival!Premier host Tasty Temptation will be hosting the full carnival weekend. Also this year will be our 2nd Annual J’ouvert event to be held on the streets of the Allen Community (Friday, Sept. 1) to kick off the carnival weekend.  Thank you to DJ Grock for allowing Sunburst Premier Grid Ent. to host the event at his community.  DJ’s Cinfull and Fifty will bring the party celebration to the streets.  This year the King & Queen of carnival contest will be held at the J’ouvert event at the Allen Community.  Winners will receive $1500L each!  Dawnie Garside of Dawnies Soul Food will be providing Caribbean food for the festivities.

Our sponsor drive for this year’s festivities is well under way.  If your business, organization, Greek org, or as an individual want to become a sponsor of this year’s Caribbean carnival, feel free to send me an in world message or on Facebook of your interest and I will get back to you that day with more information.  Finally I want to take this time to thank the businesses who stepped forward this year to sponsor this great cultural celebratory event.  This year’s 8thAnnual Caribbean Carnival is presented by Glam Couture & ParVent Inc.  and thank you to the following sponsors who we owe this year’s Caribbean Carnival to:

The 2016 Sunburst Premier Grid Ent. Caribbean Carnival Returns for Its 7th Year.

Sunburst Premier Grid Entertainment
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Shon Larsson, Owner/CEO, Co-Owner Break Beatz Entertainment
Monday, August 29, 2016
As Labor Day in the U.S. gets closer we expect summer vacations to come to an end, schools to be back in session, and the fall season to be right around the corner.  One unexpected event is about to happen as well.  After six years of an August date, the Sunburst Premier Caribbean Carnival is making its 7th year return on Saturday, September 3, 2016.  The largest Caribbean Carnival celebration on Second Life, this event has been anticipated by residents since its inception in 2008.

Unfortunately in 2015, the carnival was cancelled due to other important obligations.  At that time I knew I wanted to bring it back the following year and here we are.  Also returning for its 2nd year, Latin Heat, “The hottest night of the year”.  This pre-carnival event on Friday, September 2, 6-8pm slt is to acknowledge and celebrate the Latin Culture in the Caribbean.  The DeeJay for this event is DJ Spice (Spiceme Fanizza), the Sensual Latina of Break Beatz Ent. in her 2nd year, bringing that salsa, meringue, reggaeton heat and whatever else she has simmering.

Latin Heat will be held for the first time at the legendary Cruiz Cotton Club.  Thank you to Cruiz & Starlaa Boa Control for allowing me the opportunity to host the event at your venue.  The Control’s have sponsored the Caribbean Carnival consistently for the past five years.  For the 7th anniversary of the Caribbean Carnival we have a lineup of four great DeeJays.  One important mainstay of this event is that all of the music is provided by DeeJays with direct ties to, or are from the Caribbean.  There are three DeeJays: DJ Cinfull (Cinfull Vixen), DJ Vixen (Suzie Coba), and DJ Kamaria (Mrs. Badger) from Break Beatz Entertainment (BBE) participating in this annual event for the first time, and DJ IDJGrock returning for his second year.  The Hosts for this event are Zariaunna Madeye and Nomi Loven both highly experienced BBE staff members. The location of this year’s carnival will be on the Palm Bay Estates Beach.  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hype/208/93/22

The carnival contests have returned as well with random prizes, great sponsor prizes, and cash prizes for Best Caribbean costume, Best Crew in Caribbean costumes (3 or more in a crew), and King & Queen of carnival.

Year after year I am very appreciative to the sponsors who support and participate in this event.  This, the 7th year is no exception.  I want to thank all of the following sponsors for registering for this year’s event.  Without your generosity and support I wouldn’t be able to sustain this event year after year.  On behalf of the Break Beatz Ent. staff and management as well as our business partners, we thank you for helping us continue to bring quality entertainment to the SL grid.
