Second Life is the perfect platform for nurturing creativity and sharing it with others in a unique way. Anyone can showcase their talents by creating groups or opening up a shop or gallery on the grid. No matter how big or small, the option is there and we are excited to help spread the word. The SL Enquirer met up with Delcinea Sapphire to learn more about her and Double Vision Studio.  If you are looking for a photographer to help update your profile pic or do affordable images for you, contact Delcinea!

Interview with Delcinea Sapphire

SLE: Hi Delcinea, it is a pleasure to meet you. Where are you from and how did you discover Second Life?

Delcinea: I am from Toronto Ontario Canada and I discovered Sl through a chat line talk with some friends in another game called RLC.

SLE: It’s always interesting to hear how SL was discovered since they don’t really advertise publicly.  Would you consider Second Life an extension of your real life or just a game to pass the time?

Delcinea: It is a small part of my rl here as I have some wonderful friends from all over and we can meet up and have fun or talk and chillax and find new adventures.

SLE: Very true, many form real bonds and friendships here in the virtual world. What made you get into photography in Second Life and how long have you been taking pictures?

Delcinea: A  dear friend thought I need to upgrade my looks, after spending quite a  bit of lindens I found a free studio where you could do a pic for your profile ..I took some shots and well showcase them in my profile leading to some people wanting a picture too...So I opened Double vision studio (dvs).

SLE: That is a great way to discover you have an eye for photography!  I reviewed your work on Flickr and I must say it has a  Sensual, Fantasy, and creative vibe. How would you define your style and what inspires you to capture and create the images you have in your collection?

Delcinea: Thank you for the kind words about my Flickr.  My style is well unique and different and what inspires me is some of the wonderful props that people have made and fashion designers.

SLE: Can you tell our readers more about Double Vision Studio and if you have plans for expansion?

Delcinea:  Double vision studio  (DVS)  is a  small studio that can offer many backgrounds and poses for a well-done profile picture or if the person has an idea I will do my best to make it become a wonderful memory of their SL.

SLE:  I like the lighting and shadows in your work, What techniques or programs do you like to use to enhance your photographs?

Delcinea: Sl windlights mostly with a  couple of free art programs and playing with the settings in graphics.

SLE: Talented photographers can be hard to come by at affordable prices. Are you currently for hire? If so, can you tell our readers more about the packages you offer and the price range?

Delcinea: I am for hire and willing to work around their times if needed. My prices range from about 800L (simple background and name )  to 1000++  for a set up of props.

SLE: Thats’ pretty affordable! You have been featured in the January 2017 edition of Beautifully Bound~Your BDSM Lifestyle Magazine. Can you tell our readers a little bit about that experience?

Delcinea: I was honored to be chosen to do a picture for the magazine. I have been interested in bdsm and well it was my take on some of the experiences I have heard in sl and on chat lines.

SLE: Do you have a group residents can join to get alerts when you put out new work for Double Vision Studio?

Delcinea: I  do have a group that the people are free to join for updates of new pictures. join my group here: Double Vision Studio: secondlife:///app/group/7b042aef-3309-901c-8c39-dd48aa64579e/about or check my Flickr as well.  https://www.flickr.com/photos/tori_lil_secret/

SLE: Where can residents find your work displayed?

Delcinea:I dont have a place yet to display pictures, just Flickr for now.

SLE: Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Delcinea: iI have found in my SL experiences there are many wonderful and talented artists and performers and more to enjoy in SL. Take some time to look around and see some of them and have adventures.
