TEAM DIABETES OF SL TO RETURN FOR A FIFTH SEASON

We are pleased to announce the fifth season of Team Diabetes of Second Life! Team Diabetes of Second Life is an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association. The mission of Team Diabetes of Second Life is to raise awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in the virtual world of Second Life. According to the World Health Organization (2016): 422 million adults in the world have diabetes and 1.5 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year.

The official Team Diabetes of Second Life’s season will take place from October 2020  to December 2020 , with the following events scheduled to take place:

• 5th Annual Scare Me Silly Event – October 16 to 23, 2020
• Art Asylum Event – October 16 to 23, 2020
• 5th Annual Red Hunt – November 1 to 15, 2020
• 5th Annual Red Party – November 7, 2020
• World Diabetes Party – November 14, 2020
• Red Discount Hud Shopping Event – November 15 to 30, 2020
• 5th Annual Winter Showcase & Winter Art Show – December 8 to 15, 2020

In addition to the events mentioned above, individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to hold fundraising events in support of Team Diabetes of Second Life!  The official 2020 fundraising season toolkit will be available to the second life public on October 1, 20202, at the organization’s office in the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life.

Team Diabetes of Second Life was founded by Jessii2009 Warrhol and Johannes1977 Resident and will continue functioning in the form of an advisory board, with a coordinator leading the Team Diabetes of Second Life effort. The 2017Team Diabetes of Second Life Coordinator is Johannes1977 Resident and the 2017 Team Diabetes of Second Life Co-Coordinator is VerucaTammas.  Team Diabetes of Second Life Advisory Board members are: Jessii2009 Warrhol, Dawnbeam Dreamscape, Eleseren Brianna, Sandie Loxingly, Rob Fenwitch, and Earth Nirvana. Saiyge Lotus is a special advisor to the advisory board.

Kultivate Spring 17 Art Show -April 3 to April 9, 2017

Kultivate Magazine is pleased to announce its second annual Spring Art Show! This show will feature a week long celebration of 2D and 3D art. Over 50 artists are participating in this week long show. The event will feature both a juried and non juried component. Juried participants are competing to win a shared prize pot, gift cards, and more.
