OI Magazine: A Slice Of The Second Life's Suburb Sims' History From Molly Montale's Plate - Luc Fray

Molly Montale

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to talk to one of Second Life™ 's oldest residents, Molly Montale.

Montale had joined the game since 2005 after seeing an article about it in New York Times™. Though not as active now as she was before, mostly because of health problems, Montale still granted me the time of the day when she had agreed to talk regarding one of Second Life's biggest issue back when the game first started standing up on wobbly legs...

SLE and PPM merging ahead

Press Pass Media Group was created by Carmichael Caudron in 2010. His vision was to build a network for Second Life media sources with the ability to share their events, services and news with the virtual world community.   PPM  members reaped the benefits of  getting the latest news and events as well as viral advertising in a highly competitive and complex virtual business world.

Stats on 5/14/12

Since its humble beginnings, the Press Pass Media group has grown to over 300 (in-world) members, with more than 30 SL media sources using it to reach out to social networks of over 4000 readers a month! Press Pass Media Bloggers consist of second life’s professionals in marketing and communication. Together they keep the PPM blog alive with activity.

Since collaborating with The SL Enquirer in the Fall of 2011, Press Pass Media’s traffic has doubled within months! With access to The SL Enquirer’s audience, PressPass Media members are now able to reach out to an audience of over 17,000 a month, not to mention over 1,000 twitter and facebook followers combined.

The Echelon Award Ceremony For Lanai Jarrico, Carmichael Caudron Reporting

The Echelon Award statue, designed by Nani Xue

Ah what a wonderful evening it was.....wait it is still going on with the after party lol,but I decided to write this article while it was still fresh in my memory before the champagne makes it blurry.

The evening was about honoring media mogul Lanai Jarrico, owner of The SLenquirer newspaper and Press Pass network.
Organized by Scorpinosis Nightfire's Pulse TV Network. His team was excellent in guiding the guests and rehearsals of those doing speeches like myself and SLenquirer journalist Allen Eppenberger, Tv personality Pooky Amsterdam, Pulse Tv's Nani Xue who also DJ'd after and journalist Persia Bravin who left a touching notecard which was read to the audience, all this while Lanai waited backstage and listened.

A beauty pageant from the inside continued ...

Into the second week of the build up to the pageant finals event on the 19th September and the girls and I have attended a couple of events to get us out and about. We have supported our predecessor the current Ms Costa Rica sims 2010, Nisa Constintine, at her Influential’s event, been to the song bird of the Costa Rica Sims, Ms. Ceci Dover’s, CRS Ladies Society performance, and and and a chill out party just for us pageant girls before things really hot up – a bikini party no less – said party was outstanding. Samantha Ohrberg CR events manager, pulled out all the stops once again and made sure we all had a huge amount of fun. DJ MikeeGemini Ghost was in top form and we wouldn’t let him leave!! Some odd conversations were overheard at the party by yours truly, for instance:

01:00 PM] Takeshi Kiama: omg Carmi you so cute!!!
[01:00 PM] Carmichael Caudron: hahaha ty
[01:00 PM] Carmichael Caudron: and u are cute too said from a straight kinda way
See what I mean?
