Contest Judging Process

A panel of judges selected SL's Got Talent contestants from Open Mic Auditions held last week.  The judges are a group of distinguished venue owner and/or artists themselves.  They bring a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry in real life and in Second Life.   There are a total of eight judges.  They will rotate at each round. 

SL’s Got Talent is about providing a platform for contestants to help extend or jump start virtual live music career.  It is NOT a popularity contest.  During the contest rounds, the judges will execute the SLGT scoring system ranking each performer based on their performance at that specific round. The scores are tallied at each round to determine the contestants moving on to the next round.

The SL's GOT Talent Contest grooves into its third consecutive year on the Grid. On Thursday, October 8, 2015, starting at 6 PM SLT, the SL's GOT TALENT CONTEST officially kicks off with the OPEN MIC Auditions.  There will be a number of known and unknown Second Life performers gathering on the Bluebyrd Entertainment Resort sim to show off their stuff.  You do not want to miss the first opportunity to hear the amazing variety of talent from SL residents.  Additional auditions will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 3-4 PM SLT and 7-9 PM SLT.

SL’s GOT TALENT (SLGT) Contest was created and organized by Jackie Lefko, the owner of the SPEAKEASY. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: BUBBLES WINS 2014 SL’s GOT TALENT CONTEST

On Sunday, September 21, 2014, all contestants, sponsors, judges and contest followers gathered at The Nile Lotus Ballroom to hear the winners announced. The contest started with 11 performances during Round one, seven in Round 2 and five in the final round.  The judges had a difficult task in selecting winners from this exceptional line-up of live SL performers. 

The final round proved to be an unique musical experience for both the audience and the contestants.  The excitement was primarily due to the challenge the five finalists were given to perform one song acapella and the second song with chosen musical backup.  The judges listened and scored each performer, which yielded the following winners:

1ST PLACE - BUBBLES (Trinity Ermintrood)

2nd PLACE - LUVOFMUSIC

3RD PLACE - NAZIRAH AVOR

Prize money was increased compliments of Stone Vayandar, White Tigers Islands, Resorts & Clubs.  Original prize money was $10K, 5K, & 3K.  The winners received $15K, 10k & 5K.  And, compliments of Linda Sautereau, Nat's Jazz Club, Honorable Mention prizes of $1K each was awarded to Mark (Singit2ya) and Mizanah.

SL’s GOT TALENT (SLGT) Contest was created and organized by Jackie Lefko, CEO of Lefko Entertainment and owner of the famous SPEAKEASY.  The 2013 SLGT Contest proved to be a very successful endeavor to  help new and existing live performers to not only showcase their talent but to also accelerate their careers.  As the 2013 WINNER, RICKYLIVEMUSIC* is now one of the most sort after live performers in Second Life. KRYSANIA AND TOXIE PERFORM LIVE @ SPEAKEASY THIS WEEK! Thursday, January 9th @7pm SLT

In addition to being known for featuring some of the best talent in SL, the Speakeasy continues to be a venue of choice for new and somewhat new live SL performers to showcase their talent.   On Thursday, January 9, 2014, Krysania Eramos and TOXIE will perform live at the Speakeasy. 

Krysania Eramos and her guitar will take the stage at 7 PM SLT.  She is an acoustic musician and singer who writes her own music and plays indie/alternative covers in her spare time. She's also very fond of 90's and 2000's music! Krysania has been playing the guitar for over 10 years now and just started playing Second Life (March 2013). Through much strong will, determination, and great friends, she has made her way up through the SL music community and has been having a blast playing for people all over the grid.

BLUES & COUNTRY SINGING DIVAS @ SPEAKEASY HALLOWEEN NIGHT

The Speakeasy has been transformed from cozy to spooky to embrace two SL Singing Divas – one Blues Diva and one Country Diva – on Halloween night.  At 6 PM SLT, Jackie Lefko, the owner of the Speakeasy, takes the stage to enchant the audience with her sultry, bluesy voice.  Brace yourself!  That is just the beginning!  You will not doubt how much Molly Serpente loves to sing Country music when she takes the stage at 7 PM SLT to share her mesmerizing voice.  Yes we know!  There has been no shortage of opportunities to sport your favorite Halloween costume at the numerous parties in Second Life over the past week or so.  But, the big night is Thursday, October 31^st.

On the evening of Saturday, September 21, 2013, many gathered at the Wynchester Hope City Open Venue and others listened on the Contest Stream as seven (7) wonderful singers graced us with their amazing talent.  Each contestant performed two songs for the six judges and live audience.
