This is a continuation of yesterday’s piece on
Relay for Life. It was difficult to write about such a wonderful organization
(and the wonderful people a part of RFL) in just one article. I had the
pleasure to sit down and talk with a few Relay for Life veterans to learn about
their joining of RFL and how the organization has impacted their lives.

Inside the World of Relay for Life - Part One -- Coco Lierfatte Reporting

Relay for Life is an amazing organization. It was founded in real life in 1985, and they established the organization in Second Life in 2004. The expansion of Relay for Life once they started in Second Life is tremendous; this season alone there are 96 teams, and over 2,000 relayers and the season hasn't even started! This season starts March 10th, 2012, and it's expected to be a great season this year. As the season's premiere approaches, I got to sit down with some of the people who help make Relay for Life possible.

Nonprofit organizations are an important and crucial part of Second Life. They help out with real world issues, but in Second Life and that interests me. I could go on forever about all the nonprofits, but there are a few that I chose to cover specifically: The Giving Circles Network, Project Jason, and NSW Animal Rescue.
