EXPLORE THE MYSTERIOUS AND SURREAL "BACKROOMS" OF SECOND LIFE

Fascinated by these anomalous regions, Connie now leads people on guided tours of these bizarre places through her tour company, Conniexity.. In fact, Connie has been so inspired by her excursions to these peculiar areas that she has even decided to build her own "Backroom" which is currently under construction.  She says that once it is completed, then Conniexity will also take passengers on tours of this new offbeat and eccentric venue.  With a smile on her exuberant face, she explained that all participants on the tour will be provided a hazmat suit for their protection.

Groundhog Sees Shadow; Elise Prudhomme sees Grand Prize in Travel Contest

 

On Sunday, February 2, which is traditionally celebrated as Groundhog Day in the U.S.A., the groundhog saw his shadow predicting six more weeks of winter weather.  On that same day, the Travel & Adventure group held a Groundhog Day travel contest.  The winner of the Grand Prize in that contest was Elise Prudhomme.   Elise, who is the owner of Yangeuila Park and its Drive-In movie theater., recently joined the Travel & Adventure group and enjoyed participating in the contest.  In fact, she said that she had a blast. Elise took six trips on Groundhog Day to clinch the Grand Prize - three airline flights, a sailboat cruise, a train ride, and a bus ride! Asked to comment, Elise additionally stated, "If you haven't taken the opportunity to travel around Second Life in the various available vehicles, please do so! It's a fantastic way to meet people and get to know all the different areas of Second Life. There are airplanes, helicopters, pods, sailboats, motorboats, cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, bicycles - to name just a few. I encourage everyone to explore Second Life in their spare time...and even bring your friends for a group activity!"

It is a traditional day of finding out whether or not the groundhog sees his shadow or not, to know if we have a long winter ahead or if Spring will be on its way soon.

 To celebrate this fun special day, the Travel & Adventure group will be offering a travel contest.  

Join the group and you will start seeing announcements for various kinds of trips, such as airplane, helicopter, cruise ship, railroad, or even a bus or car!!  Travel and see new places!!

The avatar who takes the most trips on Sunday, February 2nd (from 12:00 a.m SLT to 11:59 p.m. SLT) will win a Grand Prize of L$ 2,000.
