*** NEW LOCATION*** Spotlight on CFNM COCKBAR- Adult Entertainment Where Women are Treated with Respect - Lanai Jarrico Reporting

As a virtual world journalist it is my job to take one for the team and go into establishments that might make conservatives raise an eyebrow. I’m not much of a prude and don’t really care about the opinions of people who are quick to make assumptions about my character without knowing who I am. With that said, I want to share with my readers something special about the Second Life culture and what we all have in our human nature. We are born curious. We all have needs- some of which remain hidden behind closed doors for fear of judgement or rejection, while others follow their needs openly and without fear of what others think.

It is a fact that we should all live our lives to the fullest- Whether it be in our real world or in Second Life. Some choose not to and that is their problem, not mine.

eye candy

There is a place on the Adult side of the grid rightfully name COCKBAR. The grand title speaks for itself. It is a CFNM (clothed female-naked male) establishment. Popular among Europeans, it gives women a place to relax and let go of their inhibitions in Second Life. The men are stripped down to their bare asses and assets, while the ladies are the main focus. Unlike a strip club where tips are the purpose for entertainment and a good performance, this club puts no pressure on the ladies to open up their purses. The atmosphere is laid back and the men practice the utmost respect. No random IMz asking for sex-They simply wait patiently for a lady to make her choice.

Owners, Prixie (prixiprimrose) and  Dixie (bunnykins) established COCKBAR in November of 2015. Since the grand opening it has been very active on a daily basis.  I sat down with them to learn more about their venue and what made it so wildly successful in such a short period of time.

Interview with Prixie and Dixie

Hi Ladies! I have been meaning to sit you two down for a while to talk about the COCKBAR. I have come in and observed the atmosphere on a few occasions and each time my experience has  been great.  I must say I am very impressed. What inspired you to create this venue?

Prixie/Dixie: We felt that the CFNM genre could be better served with a fresh look at what people really wanted, ourselves included. Drawing from our SL club experiences and listening to people's responses when asked what they liked and didn't like, we put together a list of "wills and won'ts" when planning this venue.

Lanai: The atmosphere is so laid back and relaxed. What type of rules do you enforce to keep the COCKBAR running this smooth?

Prixie/Dixie: We stay faithful to the CFNM ethos and expect our visitors to respect just four rules:-
1) Men do NOT message the ladies without asking permission.
2) Men must be mostly naked ie accessories may be worn.
3) No escorting or begging for tips.
4) AOs MUST be worn when not dancing.

Lanai: The men that frequent the bar are always so well mannered despite being completely naked surrounded by beautiful women. How do you find such obedient men? Do you provide special training?

Prixie/Dixie: The majority of men who play with us display good manners and common sense. They understand what the Cockbar is about and fit into the roleplay easily. Some visitors need our help to understand and sadly a few men need our help finding the exit.

Lanai: I also noticed, I am not bombarded by IMz from men when I come here. I like that I can come to a venue without being accosted.

Prixie/Dixie: We react firmly if a guest makes a complaint regarding the abuse of this rule. Ladies should be able to relax with us and not receive IMs unless they wish it.

COCKBAR

What secrets can you share with our readers about maintaining this successful establishment?

Prixie/Dixie: We treat adults as adults and expect them to respect us for that.

Lanai: Aside from these seriously sexy men dancing with the ladies. What other experiences does the COCKBAR offer guests?

Prixie/Dixie: We have a growing list of DJs providing excellent music shows around the clock. There are well equipped "Fun rooms" provided free to guests which cater to many adult tastes. Our Bar is a very real working bar for people to sit, relax and chat over a drink. I would say the most important experience is how people can meet up and share time here together in a friendly, sexy and fun atmosphere.

Lanai: How would you define the men who work at  COCKBAR. Are they escorts?

Prixie/Dixie: NO! Our men are here because they want to show off their bodies for the entertainment of the Ladies. They like to chat, flirt and generally have adult fun with an adoring audience.

Lanai: I noticed there aren’t any tip jars around aside from the DJ? I have to say that is very different than most venues I’ve seen on the grid. Ladies aren't encouraged to tip the men?

Prixie/Dixie: Not at all. We actively forbid tipping here. The Cockbar is NOT a strip club.

Lanai: Are you hiring? If so, what positions and traits are you looking for?

Prixie/Dixie: We don't actually "Hire" dancers. Men who meet our standards of appearance are free to join our group and spend time entertaining in the club. They need to be sexy, fun people who enjoy socialising.

Lanai surrounded by sexy dancers

Lanai: This is the perfect place for a bachelorette party or a girls night out.  Do you host private parties and events?

Prixie/Dixie: Up to now the parties we've been asked to host have been integrated into the club activities which gives more people the chance to join the fun.

Lanai: Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers about COCKBAR?

Prixie/Dixie: Yes. The Cockbar has only been open for two months. We have new and innovative events in the pipeline, as yet unveiled, to keep our guests entertained for a long time to come. Watch this space :)

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview. I look forward to visiting again and congratulations on such a successful venue.

Cockbar Guest/Dancer Reviews

SLE Asked some guests and dancers what they thought about the COCKBAR and here is what they had to say:

Noa

GUEST/DJ- ๖ۣۣۜNOA (sherylangel)
๖ۣۣۜNOA (sherylangel) stated, “ I was searching on the events tab for a live singer.. and then pop up an event posted by DJ Rudy who was playing blues, and I love blues so I tp’d here to peek.  when I landed here I was like WOW hehe. I was usually at the NMCF Mansion a long time ago but left because it turned into a boring place.  And I been working as Dancer at OLD LAR'S House for more than a year loving that place. COCKBAR is a mix of both, Mansion-Lars plus the people who I met around here are very very nice and kind so I feel like I’m at home. The dancers are so kind treating us with respect and the most important thing is they are very funny and love to play.
I will be DJing here soon and proud to join the family =)

Lyndsey

GUEST- Lyndsey (lyndsey.diesel)
Lyndsey (lyndsey.diesel) said,  “I love the atmosphere and music of Cockbar. I can't resist to start dancing , the guys here are always so nice and hot”

Mena

DANCER- Mena (Menacier)

Mena states,  “It's an environment where I enjoy social interaction first and foremost.  Secondly, I have a naturally sensual erotic mind so dancing like I do for women is really the opportunity to find other people who think like I do and similarly have erotic tendencies. I really looking for the opportunity to share that with someone. .... And honestly it goes from Audrey to eclectic from skanky to classy so you get to meet women who are just very open and some that are very closed.  It's a potpourri of good engagement with great people....of course there are some that are just awful but its just like in life it's a nice social interaction that can become highly erotic. There is this part of me as a man who enjoys pleasuring a woman in such a way as that it becomes a fantastic memory of her. What's great too is there's no money or Lindens exchanged it's just the opportunity to enjoy another person's company and because I'm bisexual it gets into MMF opportunities as well so it's just all around fun really”.

Anvar

DANCER- Anvar Tisane

Anvar Tisane shared,  “I'm submissive male and dancing naked for Women excites me a lot, Miss.” *smiles*
Rudy
DANCER- RudyPatterson

Lanai: Why did you choose to dance here and what do you think of the atmosphere?
RudyPatterson said, “The concept is one of the best I've seen in SL in a long time  I come here  alot and there are a number activities  to enjoy.  The owners Prixie and Dixie  know how to run a good club and the theme is what it is so it take the curious, the “doers” as  I call them and the teasers .  But it's a great place. The owners have a gold mine here.”

Troy

DANCER- Troy Vettriano
Lanai Jarrico: What made you want to be a dancer here and what can you tell me about the atmosphere that you like so much?
Troy Vettriano (troyvettriano) stated, “I am a relative newcomer to this club, but I liked the idea of dancing naked as a man, for the benefit of a woman's pleasure and fun. The atmosphere here is friendly there is an underlying feeling of mischief and naughtiness, which I like! It suits my character and personality.”

AVIE POLL: Cheating in SL- Keep Them Or Lose them?- Dragonmaster Mistwalker Reporting...

I have seen many discussions started by a simple Truthball question.  Is sex in SL considered cheating if you are married in RL or does it count because it`s just an avatar? Also,  should you dump the person or forgive them?

The way I see it is if both parties know what the other is doing in SL, they have rules, boundaries and they are adhered that is not cheating.

However, if one side of the couple is doing it behind the others back or lying to either their partner or the person they are doing things with in second life that is cheating.

So. that being said I`m heading out to get opinions from Sl residents about how they would handle lying and cheating.

Dragon Mistwalker (dragonmaster.mistwalker): if you partner cheats on you would you forgive them or would you dump them?

finn Somerset: hmmm, I would dump him...nods.

Dragon Mistwalker (dragonmaster.mistwalker): if your partner cheats on you would you forgive them or  dump them?

LYN (littlelyn.claremont): dump them.

Dragon Mistwalker (dragonmaster.mistwalker): if your partner cheats on you would you forgive them or would you dump them?

MoRgaine (morgaine.faith): It's hard to say... depends on the bond, how long you've been together, your history as a couple... SL can provide a lot of temptation.  Once trust is broken, it's extremely difficult to gain it back.  I guess it really depends on how worth it you feel the relationship is worth fighting for... but that's just me, I'm a romantic at heart. :-).

Olivia

Dragon Mistwalker (dragonmaster.mistwalker): if your partner cheated on you would you forgive them or dump them?

Olivia (oliviadoolittle): dump them but it depends if I was married to them for 3 years or something I might forgive them.

Dragon Mistwalker (dragonmaster.mistwalker): if your partner cheated on you would you forgive them or dump them?

mustang Silvershade: depends if i can be big enough and forgive.

Dragon Mistwalker (dragonmaster.mistwalker): if your partner cheated on you would you forgive them or dump them?

Dessario: it depends how the relationship was defined... I do not believe monogamy is healthy in the long run, so if we were open I would be okay with it.

For most of the people I talked to they would dump their partner. I would agree that it depends on the relationship and the people involved, how strong the relationship is, and whether you can get past the cheating.

For some i`m sure forgiving makes for a stronger relationship while for others they can`t deal with the hurt and choose to leave the other person.

Seanchai Library Opens "Crazy Eights" Celebration on LEA 9 January 31st at 1:30pm SLT

LEA 9, Second Life – Seanchai Library is kicking off its 2016 celebration of stories and spoken word on Linden Endowment for the Arts region 9, which has been granted to the Library for the winter and spring months.  The grand opening of "Crazy Eights" on LEA 9 has been announced for Sunday, January 31st at 1:30pm featuring Miguel de Cervantes "Don Quixote" and the work of Seanchai founder Derry McMahon: Don Quixote in Words and Images.

The event is open to the public and will include English-translation selections from the classic story presented by Ms. McMahon and Bear Silvershade in the Crazy Eights Eastern Meadow.  Guests will be free to sit near a tempting windmill, or wander among McMahon's photo series inspired by the great quest of Cervantes' hero.  The collection of Second Life photography was first seen as part of the Fine Arts Tour (FIAT) in 2014.  The Crazy Eights installation includes some of the original show, and additional images which were not part of the FIAT exhibition.

"Living at the intersection of reality and illusion, Don Quixote is one of the most beloved literary characters. On his eternal quest to make the world a better place, he sees the world as it should be: peasants become gentlefolk, windmills transform into evil giants and in a barmaid he sees the soul of the lady of his dream.

"Where we see darkness and despair, he sees light, hope, and always, adventure. What better character to explore Second Life, probing a world created entirely from the stuff of our imagination? Truly a stranger in a strange land, these images take Quixote on a journey from the comical through the heartrending.  Travel alongside the Don as he tangles with The Great Enchanter (windmills), and discovers SL sights that are familiar, and yet...not.”

February will commence weekly live programming by Seanchai Library at Crazy Eights, while continuing programming at their home parcel on the Bradley University region.  All times SLT and all events in voice.  Events include:

  • The Featured Book Area will begin its first book series at 7pm on Thursday, February 4th with Chief Storyteller Shandon Loring and Tracey Garvis Graves' NYT Best-Selling "On The Island." Loring has created a 360 degree environment inspired by Graves' work, filled with links and scripted surprises.
  • The popular "Tea Time at Baker Street" Sunday series will begin "The Return of Sherlock Holmes" with it's first adventure "The Empty House" on February 7th at 1:30pm. The Baker Street area of Crazy Eights will include the "Holmes & Watson Gallery", a book shop with links to Conan Doyle's canon, and references to other Holmesian locations around the grid.

Connecting the six different venue areas on Crazy Eights is the Story Forest. "It is the connective tissue that brings all of this together," said lead Seanchai staffer Caledonia Skytower." We were looking for a means to draw all the different story venues together with a visual reflection of our journey of the last eight years."  The staff created that environmental representation inspired by artworks created for books, especially the chromatic richness of N.C. Wyeth's illustrations.

A winding path of books leads explorers through a wood and meadow populated with "Story Stations." At each station are visual story elements and a link post. By clicking on the image at the top of the post, guests can be connected with either the text of the story, or information about the story online.  Skytower relates, " Some of the stories may be familiar, some may not, and some may be stories that people have forgotten that they knew. Some are folktales, and some are beloved works of literature. Its a mix of tales from around the world, and we will trade different stations in and out even after opening. So the journey will always be a little different."

Information on Seanchai Library schedules and programs, as well as links to Seanchai's social media presence can be found online at http://irelandslstory.blogspot.com/

Seanchai Library (Shanna-key, which means "Storyteller" in Irish.) was founded in March of 2008 in Second Life. Thousands of stories, and hundreds of authors later, the program remains dedicated to promoting the power of stories to transform and inspire through live voice presentations: "We bring stories of all kinds to life, in Second Life." "Crazy Eights" refers to the Library celebrating its eighth anniversary this year.

Lanai Jarrico Reporting from Northeast Pennsylvania- Blizzard 2016

The good news is we still have electricity in my area with a record snowfall of 30 inches. I would say our area was slammed pretty hard by this blizzard aside from the flooding that occurred along the New Jersey Shore. So far 19 lives have been reported lost along the Eastern Seaboard and 5 deaths reported in New York due to heart attacks from shoveling.

If you are in an area that was hit by this storm it is advised to stay off the roads so the plow crews can do their job as well for your own safety. Also, don't over exert yourself while clearing your walkways.

Looking out my window at the aftermath- I'm definitely snowed in thanks not only to the storm itself but by the city who kindly piled a mountain of snow right in my driveway!

Be safe people and keep warm!

Touring SL’s Breathtaking Locations- Lanai Jarrico Reporting...

At the Hollywood Airport awaiting my pilot

Second Life is a place of enchantment and wonder if you take the time to explore. The grid is full of creativity, some of which makes me stop in awe at the beauty that surrounds me. Let’s take a tour of some of the breathtaking views and replicated monuments I have come across while exploring.

Tempura Island

Japan- Tempura Island

This has got to be one of my favorite places when it comes to scenic landscapes. It has stood the test of time in Second Life due to its creativity and relaxing atmosphere with great traffic. Built in 2004, this magnificent location also has a golden corridor leading to the grand ballroom. Perfect for romantic dates.
If you haven't been to Tempura Island, it is a must see.

Romantic Gardens and Art gallery

Romantic Gardens and Art Gallery

Owned by The Wandering Group, this location is absolutely gorgeous. Upon landing you are whisked away by the calming sounds as your eyes wander around a beautifully design landscape. From an abundance of  vibrant foliage and a stunning waterfall feeding a shimmering lake, It is the perfect location for a romantic date, exploring, photography or just meditating. Don’t forget to check out the art on display in the gallery.

Lady Liberty

The Statue of Liberty

This Statue is a national monument and a symbol of Freedom and Liberty.  She was a gift given to the United States from France; officially unveiled in a dedication ceremony by President Grover Cleveland in 1886. It is nice to see real world monuments replicated in Second Life. Created by Liberty Tesla, It gives sl residents from all over the world an opportunity to take a virtual tour of something real. If you have never been to the real Statue of Liberty in New York, take some time to visit it in Second life.

on the Nile River
Ancient Egypt/Amarna

I have always been fascinated by ancient history and artifacts found all over the world. They give us a window to peek into and discover interesting things about our past. In Second Life you can teleport to another time and place, like when the Pyramids were being constructed. Explore this ancient Egyptian village along the Nile and imagine what it must have been like.

Macchu Picchu

Macchu Picchu 3D- The Legendary Inca Village
Machu Picchu has always been one of my favorite ancient sites to read about or watch on documentaries. What interests me the most is how on earth was this village constructed at such a high altitude with such precision. it’s absolutely amazing what our ancient ancestors were capable of.  To see a replica in Second life really got me excited. It truly is a site to marvel at.

Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is a great symbol of Love. It is a mausoleum built in 1648 from ivory-white marble  located in the Indian City of Agra. It is the final resting place for Emperor Shah Jahan’s favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal.  Be sure to put this place in your SL travel Itinerary.

Best Winter Sales -Tea Couturier Reporting...

If you are like me and love a good sale then there are still a few good deals to be sought in SL this Winter.

Depending on what you are looking for I have found some good deals in SL from homes to clothing for yourself.  Let’s start with fashion!

Clothing

Nian Design Life

Have a sale on their clothing range for men and women and what is even good all the clothing has full Permission which is always a plus. The store seems to be only available on Market Place as the in world store has gone but this should not stop you from looking online and seeing the bargains Nian has on offer.

Love 25

I have just discovered this store and actually like the clothing it offers. Love 25 has a sale and during my search I came across this lovely Drape Vest w/ Dress for only L$45. It comes in lots of different colors and is perfect with UGG boots or even knee high boots. This store is worth a visit.

Makeup

NOYA designs

NOYA designs store has a sale and the items are very nice.
I was looking for some eyeshadows and lipsticks which were not only different from what I have already but also something a bit dramatic for the evenings.  I came across this selection for only L$99. The pack comes with Lip gloss, tribal eyeliners in big and small size shape cat-eyes, blue artistic eyeshadows, Lipstick soft pink, Black Smokey Eye Shadow, green eyeshadow, Purple Eyeshadow, soft red lipstick all in one pack. It is however only on sale for 1 week only.

Hair

Truth

I must admit I do like Truth hair and have quite a lot of their styles so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they had a sale. I quickly got a few nice styles on sale.

I was looking for an updo casual hair style and came across this in the sale. It is not only perfect for a casual look with jeans etc but you can get away with it for semi causal wear also. Priced at L$100 I am sure you will think this is a good deal too.

MP: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/13

Looking for a new winter home? Here is something I found on sale!

Villas

A good deal does not  have to be for apparel or accessories only!  We all love to decorate and find that perfect house to be able to do that but it can be hard. However, I came across Villas a house store who are in the middle of a sale with their houses.  To be honest the houses are quiet nice.
Now depending on what style and design of a house you are looking for I found this house to be very good for the sale price as it comes with a pool.  However, if interior designing is not your favorite thing to do then never fear as the house comes fully furnished so you can just simply move in!

The house comes equipped and furnished as follows:
Automatic security with visitor list
Animated window shutters with on/off switch
Lighting system with 4 independent zones and 5 different light modes for each. Night and day sensor included
Outdoor torch lights
All doors equipped with sensor, collision and touch mode
Animated pool
Animated Jacuzzi
Fireplaces
Paintings
Potted interior plants
Furniture
Footprint 36 x 39 m
412 prims

All of this for L$599.

So if you’re still looking for a sale in SL then you are not too late but do hurry because a sale cannot stay a sale for long.

Happy Shopping!
