It’s Halloween time in Second Life – Camury Reporting...

Halloween is coming, look for all sorts of tricks and treats in all the dark corner and haunted places of Second Life.  As soon as October arrives, ghosts, witches, bats, and other creatures of the darkness will be among us, to entertain or to scare us in this new season.

Take a tour on Second Life and visit many haunted houses, Halloween themed events, and many other spooky places are waiting for you.

Here are some spine-chilling spots for you to check out.

Do you want a sim full of fun and jump scares? Visit Halloweentown. The little village is full of Halloween decor, gifts and gachas. Enjoying a carriage ride and cross the river to explore a scary graveyard. Take a tour of the haunted mansion but be aware of the monsters lurking in the shadows among the trees.

Spook-tacular Halloween Town

Welcome to the spookiest Halloween trail in SL. Have fun in the haunted boat ride and if you make it to the end, manage to survive in the cave and be careful to don’t get lost in the corn maze. There are traps and fun stuff along the trail and, if you made out alive, don’t forget to visit the haunted house!

The House That Fear Built

Think twice before stepping through the door of this haunted house even though you’re going to do it anyway. You need to find out what lays beyond the door if you dare! Be aware of the secret passages that may take you to macabre places that you can explore if you’re not weak at heart. WARNING: This is not your grandmas’ haunted house. If you’re looking for pumpkins and candy, then this is not the place to find it.

ShenaniganS Haunted House

Join in the fun with yet another themed plot created by Blublaize and his partner Purr.  Come and explore the haunted house or dance in the deserted cemetery - is it deserted though. Have fun with ghosts and ghouls that are ready and waiting to celebrate another Halloween with you. Open through November 5.

Skeleton House - Halloween Store

Join the zombies and skeletons who enjoy moonlit nights at the Skeleton House.  Be careful while you walk around the old haunted house and visit the cemetery if you dare! HOW DO YOU PROTECT YOURSELF FROM GRIEFERS? – Camury Reporting

All residents, upon registering for second life, agree to abide by the rules in the Terms Of Service (TOS) and the Community Standards (CS). But it is very common for people not to know or not to remember these rules.
Terms of Service – TOS
Community Standards – CS:

Abuse occurs whenever one of these rules is intentionally or maliciously disrespected, but not all residents know the abuse reporting system or remember to use it when encountering players who are intentionally rude, so-called Griefers.

The best way to prevent harassment or abuse is to use your settings, to control the environment, and who can interact with you. For example, if you are being pushed or moved by scripts, right-click an object and select Sit Here. This prevents you from being moved. If a friendship has soured, block the person and remove them from your friends list. This will also remove all the permissions you've given to the person.

In Sl, I talked to some people about how they protect themselves from Griefers. Let's take a look at the answers.
Miss  Haneruno  Resident
Camury: Miss Haneruno, have you ever suffered any kind of harassment or abuse in SL?
Haneruno: "Yes I have suffered many attacks in SL. This is very common for those who, like me, use sandboxes. "
Camury: How do you protect yourself from Griefers?
Haneruno: "I know that there is a system of complaints in SL, but when I suffer attacks I get a little annoyed and simply turn off the computer. I do not have the patience to make the complaint. "
Mr Rayc0 Resident
Camury: Mr. Rayc0, have you ever suffered any kind of harassment or abuse in SL?
Rayc0: "Yes, I was in a Protected Land, waiting for my inventory to load, when an avatar started to shoot me."
Camury: How did you do to protect yourself?
Rayc0: "I got angry and teleported myself to another place.
Camury: Do you know the SL complaint system?
Rayc0: "I read something about reporting abuse but actually I never bothered about it. I've never tried to know how to make complaints ... "

Mrs. Brendajac Melborne
Camury: Mrs. Brendajac, have you ever suffered any kind of harassment or abuse in SL?
Brendajac: "Yes, I was visiting the Amazon River Land with a friend when we were attacked by Griefers."
Camury: How was the attack?
Brendajac: "They put us in a kind of cage, where the avatar cannot escape. Even if you leave the game and return to the game, your avatar will be trapped in that cage.
Camury: Did you report the attack?
Brendajac: "Yes, my friend, who is an experienced player, was able to resolve the situation and took all steps to register the attack and report the abuse to Linden Lab. Those Griefers were banned from SL."
Miss Prya Resident
Camury:  Miss Prya, have you ever suffered any kind of harassment or abuse in SL?
Prya: "Yes I was on a land when my avatar was pushed several times and I could not control the situation.
Camury: Did you report the attack?
Prya: "I did not really worry about that, all I did was teleport me to another land."

Miss AnyaMel
Camury: Miss Anyamel, have you ever suffered any kind of harassment or abuse in SL?
Anyamel: "Yes I was at an SL event when I received a suspicious object. All they wanted was to take my lindens. "
Camury: How can you verify that the object was suspicious?
Anyamel: "I opened the profile of the object and saw that the information was incomplete. The creator of the object did not have satisfactory information in his profile and by clicking on the object I received a message asking permission to remove my lindens."
Camury: Did you report the abuse?
Anyamel: "Yes, I captured all the screens and sent everything using LL's complaint system." I'm still waiting for the result of the complaint. "

Send complaints about any abuse you witness, other than those you personally encounter. Complaints from several people highlight the seriousness of an incident and help resolve the cases more quickly. Learn how to report by clicking here:

Second Life - Active Full Viewers - Camury Reporting...

All Second Life users are aware of the official Second Life Viewer, available on the main Second Life Downloads page. However, many Second Life developers, outside of Linden Lab, offer custom Second Life viewers. While Linden Lab does not support third-party viewers, many users choose to use these alternative viewers.

Second Life Viewer official:

What's important to know is that Linden Lab provides a Third-Party Viewer Policy to promote a positive and predictable experience for all Second Life Residents.

Down below you will see a listing of Third-Party viewers created by developers who have certified that they comply with the Third-Party Viewer Policy.

Viewer - Alchemy
An experimental Second Life™ viewer striving to be at the forefront of stability, performance, and technological advancement in the open-source metaverse viewer field.

Platforms: Windows, MacOS, Linux.

https://www.alchemyviewer.org/

The primary goal of Black Dragon is to enhance and refine the visuals of Second Life as well as having unique design approaches and features.

Viewer - Firestorm
The next generation viewer from The Phoenix Firestorm Project, Firestorm is based on the LL V3 LGPL code and offers extensive interface customizability including V1 skin options, feature and option rich with 24/7 support.

Viewer - Kokua
Kokua is an open source viewer for Second Life and OpenSim-based virtual worlds. The goal of Kokua is to improve the user interface and usability of the viewer through community involvement, thoughtful design, modern development methods, and a pro-change atmosphere.

Viewer - Catznip
Catznip aims to refine and reinvent your window into Second Life. Our focus is stability, usability, privacy and plenty of new original home grown features. It's about taking a fresh look at things and attempting to do them better. Catznip is the development viewer for the alternative implementation of the RLV specification. RLVa goes from Catznip into many other TPVs including Firestorm and Phoenix. This is especially useful for script developers as Catznip represents the future of RLVa often months ahead of the mainstream.

Viewer - Restrained Love
The RLV enhances your experience when you use it in conjunction with RLV-compatible objects, which are very common on the SL grid now. It is primarily intended to be used by BDSM fans with BDSM oriented objects in-world, which can restrict the user from detaching items, receiving IMs, hearing chat, teleporting, etc. It can also be useful for totally PG purposes, such as forcing to teleport somewhere (facilitating transport networks), changing the Windlight settings through scripts (helping sim owners), preventing from teleporting out of a maze, etc.

Viewer - Singularity
Singularity strives to combine the beloved look and feel of Viewer 1.23 with the latest and greatest of available technology, and to stay compatible with future Second Life changes and features.

Platforms: Windows, Linux
URL:
http://www.singularityviewer.org/

The user should be wary of third-party viewers who have declined to self-certify compliance with Linden Lab policies or have been turned down for non-compliance with policies.
Other viewers such as Exodus, Imprudence and UkanDo have not been updated recently enough to be considered fully compatible with current Second Life services. Depending on their use, they may or may not meet your needs.

All viewers described above are projects that are regularly updated to track new developments in the Linden Lab viewer and implement a complete graphical environment. So, if you want to take advantage of all aspects of full viewer functionality, choose one of the viewers listed above and enjoy!

Hip Hop Clubs In Second Life- Camury Reporting...

Hip Hop is a popular culture that emerged among the Caribbean, African-American and Latin American communities of the New York suburbs of the 1970s. The social context was violence and crime in these neighborhoods, and the only form of leisure possible for young people was on the streets. They found in music, poetry, dance and painting a form of manifestation of their reality and contestation.

Music is the main artistic manifestation of hip hop, which also has in dance and graphite strong representation. From the United States, hip hop culture has spread throughout the world.

Hip hop has four main elements: Rap, DJing, Breaking (practiced by b-boys and b-girls) and the art of graphite.

When hip hop emerged, it focused on disc jockeys that created rhythmic beats and were short stretches of music with an emphasis on repetition. Subsequently, these rhythmic beats were accompanied by rap, identified as a musical style of rhythm and poetry, along with improvised dances, such as breakdance, popping and locking.

The relationship between graffiti and hip hop emerged when new forms of painting were being performed in areas where rap, dj and dance were practiced.

Gradually hip hop has gained space in the clubs. The doubles DJs and MCs still gain prominence and compete with each other, the battles of rap, made only by the cultural manifestation and without connotation of violence. Graffiti on the walls remains the expression of painting in hip hop culture, and break is the dance that went out from the streets to parties all over the cities.
