A Look at Some Venues offering Different Music Genres in Second Life- Nena Dreadlow Reporting

I love going out to dance, explore and finding different music venues to visit. Like most people I love all types of music genres but, what I love the most is exploring the different sims here in SL and listening to what I like.
Here are some venues I recommend so you can get an idea of what type of places you can visit, listen to music and have a great time too.

Black Horse Country Club

This Sim is all country!! From the music to the venue, which plays the best country music. The place is filled with people line dancing and socializing. The staff and host are wonderful.  Be sure to join the group so you can find out when events are happening.

Ohana Rock Club

Ohana Rock Club in my opinion one of the top clubs here on SL. I was greeted right away from the host and felt welcomed. This music here is rock.  Ohana Rock Club was filled with lots of people dancing and having a good time. Right away you feel comfortable being a part of the crowd.  Join the group for info on events.  Ohana Rock Club also has a Facebook page.

Dance Island
“Real Dj’s,Real Music,Real People”

Dance Island has a large beautiful club. They play techno, disco and electro type of music here. They were also voted “Best Dance club’” . If you love to dance and meet new people this is a place to come check out.

End Of Days

Once you enter the sim make sure you change your environment to midnight for the best effect.   If you love the  Goth/ vampire theme this is the club for you. It is set inside a castle and is very dark and mysterious.

The Dirty South

When you first see the name you might think It has to be a county bar right? But it’s not. They play all kinds of music from rock, pop, hip hop and so much more. It is inside of a cute barn. If you're like me and you're looking for a nice place to hang out with all types of music then this is the place for you.

Of course there are more to Second Life then just clubs. They also have Theaters, Opera Houses, Concert halls and even places to sing your heart out on Karaoke!
Check these places out.

Theatre on the Hill

One of the theaters I visited was “Theatre on the hill” where they perform Broadway shows.  The theater is set over  water and  beautiful!

Be sure to check out this venue if you're looking for a great show.

The Oval

The Oval Concert hall features live music from Opera, Dj’s and live performers. It sits on the hill and has a unique way for you to get around the sim. If you are looking for a place to have a nice relaxing evening then I recommend visiting this sim.

Firestone Karaoke

One of the many places you can visit to showcase your voice is “Firestone Karaoke”.  To get started all you have to do is touch the board and follow the instructionsI think karaoke is a great way to practice your favorite songs and have fun with others who like the karaoke scene.

As you can see there are a lot of music venues and genres to choose from. Whatever you choose there is always something to do for everyone in Second Life.

Rock, Classic Rock, Pop, top 40s Music Venues in Second Life- Piers Diesel Reporting....

We all like to listen to different genres of music. In Second life this is possible to do in many different clubs and venues across the grid. If you like to listen to  Rock or classic Rock, pop or the top 40s here are a few venues which may interest you.

Santorini

Opened in 2010 the venue is still going strong. At Santorini you will find a nice crowd of people who are friendly. The music is good pop and top 40s. If you go there you are likely to find people hanging out and having fun.  It is never empty.  They also have live entertainment

BAD 80s Club and 90s Music
This venue has  a South Beach Miami Vice flavor.  Step back in time to experience the party as it was. Owned by the Ambrosia Entertainment Management Supergroup the venue is always buzzing. The DJs and hosts are friendly and you can be guaranteed a good time.

The Sound Garden
If you are craving rock in all its forms such as classic, hard, modern as well as metal, blues, punk, alternative, indie and more. This is the rock club for you. It is set in a lush tropical garden that offers live entertainment and big events on the weekends.
During the week it provides a great atmosphere to just kick back and relax with friends.

The River Rock Club
The River plays rock music from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and today. Come here for classic rock, southern rock, some metal, even a little country rock and blues mixed in. The atmosphere is a riverside party with games and tons of concerts. They say “You may enter as a stranger but you'll leave as family!”

Whatever type of music you are looking for in Second Life you are guaranteed to find it. Pop, classic rock and rock music venues are on the up and are as popular as ever so you will not have trouble finding a venue where you can have it all.
Good music, friendly people and fun.

Know a Rock Club you would like to mention? Us the comment box below and tell us about it. Don’t forget to share the landmark!

What Goes on in Jazz Clubs Stays in Jazz Clubs – Stareyes Galaxy Reporting

Sara and Magika Dancing

Clubs in Second Life © (SL) are the main platform for avatars’ entertainment. Over the years, unique categories of clubs have evolved, and Jazz Clubs in particular have taken off in a direction that might not be obvious to the uninitiated.

Jazz, as a genre of music, might be dismissed as esoteric and difficult, and some avatars might shun Jazz Clubs for that reason. To those that might want to explore Jazz Clubs as a vehicle for socializing, it may be intimidating to end up somewhere full of dancing couples and virtually nonexistent local chat interaction. Stareyes Galaxy dressed up to the tees and went to some clubs to see what the phenomenon really is about.

Live Music & Venues in Second Life- Piers Diesel Reporting...

If you are a lover of music, listening to live talent in Second Life is a exciting and different way of enjoying music in various genres.

In real life, many of us have gone or still go to concerts to hear our favorite band or singers.  Just as in the real world this is something which residents of Second Life are able to do too with from from all over the world all in one place. Attending venues which support and put on live events helps keep these kind of venues running and also encourages them to keep supporting artists in Second Life.

Here are a few popular venues that support Second Life artist’s by hiring them to perform for their guests.
