HEADLINE: Spotlight on The Terrace Luxury Rentals - Lanai Jarrico Reporting...

The Terrace Luxury Rentals offers affordable high-end fully furnished or unfurnished skyboxes. Whether your style is traditional, modern, contemporary, shabby-chic, industrial, rustic style, or Victorian, you are assured of finding your sky home at the Terrace.

The SL Enquirer met up with Jorden Andrew, General Manager at The Terrace Luxury Rentals.

Interview with Jorden Andrew

SLE: Hi Jorden, you are definitely busy on the grid with The Terrace Luxury Rentals and One Park Tower Hotel. How do you manage all of it?

Jorden: Our staff is available 24/7. We pride ourselves on our friendly professional service in a timely manner. Inquiries are answered immediately or within a few hours. Skyboxes and hotel rooms are maintained daily. It is important that when a new tenant rents a furnished skybox or hotel room it looks exactly as intended - no missing furniture or decor, running water, unmade beds, etc.

SLE: Great attention to the detail you put into these fabulous locations. Thank you for taking me on a tour of your skyboxes, I’m impressed. They truly are luxurious. Can you share with our readers the various properties The Terrace has to offer?

Jorden: Thank you, SLE. Our furnished (adult) and unfurnished skyboxes range from studios to two bedrooms. Many of our sky homes have the option to change the view from city to country. They are custom-designed with creations from well-known SL fashion stores. With over 22 different styles we strive to provide our Second Life Tenants with affordable high-end ultimate luxury.

All of our Skybox Photos can be seen in detail on our website at The Terrace Rentals.

SLE: Privacy is a big concern to tenants. How do you ensure guests will get their private time without worrying about their neighbors trying to listen or peek in?

Jorden: All of our skyboxes as well as our hotel rooms are built on individual parcels providing total avatar privacy and Security Orbs are of course included in each unit.

SLE: Now that we got security covered, can you tell our readers what they should expect when they come to The Terrace Management?

Jorden: You will be greeted by Hayden. Hayden is a bot so please if you have any questions, IM or send a notecard to Jorden Andrew. There are Photos and Information Notecards about each skybox we have to offer. The easels have an “Availability List'' which is updated each morning. Teleport from the list to the skybox which interests you.

SLE: That seems simple enough! How do you set The Terrace Luxury Rentals above any of the other rental properties across Second Life? Is there something you offer that many do not?

Jorden: Two main reasons why many tenants prefer The Terrace Management Skyboxes. One and most important is total avatar privacy as mentioned before as our units are built on individual parcels where other companies build their skyboxes on one parcel above each other. Second, our skybox homes are decorated with high-end adult furnishings and decor.

SLE: Most rental management companies in SL have a set of rules guests and renters have to follow. Are there any restrictions at The Terrace?

Jorden: Our units are built on individual parcels which means that tenants have full parcel rights. The only restriction is no breedable animals; however, we do allow pets or prim babies within reason. We do ask that when a tenant is not home they make sure the pet or baby is set at minimal movement. Also, because units are spaced far apart on separate parcels there is very little lag.

SLE: That is some great advice to minimize any potential lag caused by pets and babies that can accumulate. Can you tell our readers the pricing structure you have for Terrace Luxury and exactly what do they get for their payment?

Jorden: Our skyboxes rent from $475Ls to $1,600Ls,  depending on the amount of prims and parcel size.

SLE: Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Jorden: Please visit us at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Terrace%20Management/132/81/1803.

GeekSpeak subject for Saturday 24th July at noon SLT: Will Batteries save the world?

Since the advent of energy sources, like solar and wind, that are not always available the trend is to place batteries in an electricity system.  The energy is stored when it is plentiful and used when it is needed.  For some reason, no one thought about doing that before.

Let’s discuss what the battery revolution will do for us. Will it save the planet?  Will it lead humanity to an era of abundance of energy?  In 15 years maybe we will not know what to do with all the surplus energy.

The secret sauce is batteries.  Not just the ones we all know about but also lakes, towers with concrete blocks, molten salt, and many more.

Come and talk about our energy future!  Bring your kids, they are the ones who will live in the new world.

Spotlight on JT’s At the Summit Intimate Encounters- SLE Reporting...

There is a new full-service adult playground on the grid for intimate encounters. Jt’s at the Summit offers the grown and sexy crowd a variety of activities to do. From the main club with exotic dancers and escorts to a more intimate venue for the CFNM community as well as singles and couples to explore “group adult activities”. With many private areas to discover there is something for everyone. With a full sim to explore you will come across beautiful waterfalls, a beach house, social areas like the lounge and pool.  The SLE took a tour with Jt to learn more about Jt’s at the Summit.

Interview with ღ JT ღ (msjacq)

SLE:  Hi Jt, where are you from and how did you discover Second Life?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): I'm currently in Grad School in southern California, I was born in Miami, Florida, but grew up in Dunedin, Florida on the Gulf Coast. A very close friend who has been in SL a little while had been getting after me to join SL for quite some time, so I finally did.

SLE: Would you consider Second Life an extension of your real life or just a game?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): Maybe an extension, but more a place to explore things that I may not necessarily be able to explore in real life. She's just more open, willing to explore the places within me that exist that I don't necessarily let out for air in the real-life version of me. I do keep a definite separation between the two, but the person you meet and interact with within SL, is me in about every way possible, even down to the hours I spent creating my avatar in my own likeness.

SLE: What inspired you to create Jt’s at the Summit?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): So I've worked in some Clubs and Resorts in SL. I've managed one or two of them for a short time. None of them quite felt like home, like a true fit for me for a number of reasons. Sometimes it was my inability to be comfortable with the surroundings, cosmetically, or the theme of the place. Other times it was because of inadequate or incompetent management and drama. I put myself into my work, I give all of myself, and to do that and be happy I need to feel a connection to the place, very much like the love I have for my real-life career. None of the places I'd worked, or even seen in SL really allowed me to truly feel that sort of connection. So I began constructing the vision so to speak in my mind. What to me would be a place I could not only live, as my home is also on the Sim, but a place I could truly put myself into, and truly love. JT's at the Summit is the manifestation of that vision. So, I began looking for the perfect place to create that vision in world and was blessed to find Raven's Summit. Once I saw it, I knew it was home and everything just came together.

SLE: This adult playground is an entire sim, can you share with our readers what they can expect when visiting Jt’s at the Summit?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): What they can expect, or more, what I intend to provide is the ultimate adult experience. Truly, something for everyone, where you can fulfill your every desire. I put a great deal of thought into what needed to be here to provide that for our guests. I've built a number of areas on the island to accommodate that vision. Guests can expect a friendly fun staff genuinely interested in providing an amazing experience. They can expect to be treated with respect and kindness. Beautiful ladies to entertain our male guests (I am EXTREMELY picky about the look of my Dancers and Escorts. You won't find avatars that resemble cartoon characters with unrealistic and exaggerated features. We do want to celebrate diversity and be accepting as beauty comes in many shapes and sizes, but I insist on realistic human form avatars). Gorgeous Guys to entertain our female guests. A number of romantic and intimate areas throughout the island for our staff to entertain our clients and guests, as well as the ability for couples to spend intimate time together, have a date night, or just explore and enjoy the grounds, and relax. (I do appreciate a donation for couples who wish to enjoy our intimate areas) A well-kept and maintained sim where you can always contact ownership/management. But mostly, a place where fantasies can be fulfilled and explored. I'm not looking to get Linden rich here, my goal is to pay the bills and provide a place where guests and my staff can feel at home, safe,  and allow themselves to explore the experiences they desire.

SLE: There are many adult venues in Second Life. What makes yours stand out from the rest?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): Well first, none that I'm aware of have approached the adult venue experience with this business model. We're not just targeting one specific demographic. Our vision is to be all-inclusive and provide something for everyone. We've combined a number of different experiences for our guests in order to achieve that. Of course, it was necessary to provide the best furniture and amenities available with amazing animations as nothing kills the experience more than getting excited about what you're doing than the animations not living up to expectations so that was something I wasn't at all willing to compromise on. It was a priority to provide our clients with only the best but It was more than that. It had to be a place that when walking through, you would keep thinking, it's really beautiful here. As I said above I was blessed to find the perfect scenic location to build after looking and looking,  so I tried to take advantage of the beauty that existed here and highlight it. There is so much beauty here, and I tried to highlight all of it and provide a perfect setting for the ultimate adult experience. A place to truly live out your fantasies. Furthermore, It was also important that the main club, and sim in general not be, or cosmetically look like any other adult club or resort. That cheesy trashy look where you're afraid to sit anywhere, or all the neon and trashy pics, dark rooms, all the purple and pink, velvet, etc... all the common things you see in almost every adult club. A place that offered all the benefits of an adult club/resort, but intimate, warm and welcoming, classy and clean. We can celebrate our sexuality, and still be classy about it. Finally, When you visit JT's at the Summit, you're truly visiting me. I put my heart and soul into everything here, and I put all of myself into the day-to-day operation. When you come to JT's, you are being welcomed into my extended home, and truly see "JT" in everything here.

SLE: Every successful venue has a team that works together to ensure guests are having a unique experience. Can you tell us about your team and what they do?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): JT's at the Summit has a small staff of wonderful people. I'm not only the Owner but also the Operations Manager. My partner and Co-Owner Suzy Owens Also assist me in Managing our main club and helping me with administrative and supervisory duties. I also recently hired a wonderful woman named Jesselyn Fielding to Manage the partner club that sits next door to the main club. Jt's at the Summit will also be staffed with a team of top-level Dancers and Escorts.

SLE: Running an adult establishment comes with a lot of responsibility. What rules do you have in place to ensure guests are not sexually harassed? What restrictions do you have in regards to age?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): First of all, as the Owner, I'm present, which, let's be honest, isn't always the case in adult venues. That allows me to know what's going on here at all times. Next, My staff all have explicit rules concerning guest care and interaction as well as a comprehensive sexual harassment policy in place which applies to all staff including myself. Adult venues are about sex, so, guests who come here have to expect an atmosphere where sexuality is celebrated. That includes nudity in both clubs and an adult fun-themed atmosphere. With that in mind, at no time are my staff or guests ever asked to, or forced to do anything they are not comfortable doing. We're all adults, consent and safety are always the highest priorities. If at any time a member of my staff or a guest feels they are being pushed, or "forced" into an uncomfortable situation, not only can they teleport out if they feel it necessary, they can also contact me at any time day or night and I will respond the moment I see the message and deal with any inappropriate behavior immediately. That leads me to the second part of your question. Only adult avatars are allowed on the sim. That means guests and staff. If an avatar appears in any way to be under the legal age of consent they will be asked to leave immediately or made to if they refuse.

SLE: There is a CFNM club that caught my attention during the tour, you mentioned there are 14 hot men ready and waiting to show the ladies a good time? Do you have to make an appointment or are there special events? Asking for a friend. lol

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): LOL, Our CFNM House or CFNM at the Summit is the partner club that is next door to our main club.  It is part of our "something for everyone" vision. As I mentioned above, I recently brought on Jesselyn Fielding to manage the CFNM house. She is an amazing woman with a lot of experience in the SL CFNM Community and will do amazing things here.  We've built a great team of hot sexy guys who are there to dance for and entertain our female guests. You can make an appointment with one of our CFNM Dancers and that can be arranged with the dancer directly.  We are also in the process of setting up "theme nights". Jess is working that out and that information will be posted and available soon. The CFNM house itself is unlike most CFNM establishments you may have seen in the past. The place is comfy, intimate, warm, and welcoming, and also equipped with only the best furniture and equipment available. It includes a Zen garden on the top floor with a massage area. (The massage table has an absolutely heavenly menu) Our CFNM Dancers are not allowed to IM any guest without express consent in local chat or send them any inventory items, gestures, images, or anything not requested. I know this is a problem in other places, it will not be here. I promise we'll take great care of your friend :)

SLE: Speaking of events, do you have a calendar or group guests can join to get notifications when something is happening?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): Our VIP group is simply called JT's at the Summit. It is the VIP group for both clubs. There are group joiners once a person walks into the club they can click on and join, or they can contact a member of the staff for an invitation,  and can also search in groups under that name. There is no fee to join. We've also recently made our home on Facebook.

SLE: Are you hiring? If so, what positions do you have available and how can they apply?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): I have a nice staff of male Dancers, however, I'm always happy to add to that roster. I am currently beginning the hiring process for my female Dancer/Escort staff. When someone walks into the main club they can find applications on the wall to the right near the elevator or speak to me, Suzy, or Jess directly.

SLE: Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

ღ JT ღ (msjacq): Jt's at the Summit includes a number of areas throughout the sim. Both Clubs, two intimate cozy waterfall areas, a fenced and decked pool, and a "dance dock" with a deejay booth, a dance floor, and a top deck with a bar and social area that has an absolutely beautiful view. You're not going to ever be bored, just show up with your imagination and the intent of having a fun wonderful time.

Paradise Of Fun Zoo- Stacey Cardalines reporting...

Most people never see exotic wild animals in person. I live pretty far in the country, and my animal sighting list goes pretty much dog, cat, raccoon, squirrel, mouse, skunk, turkey, various birds, and fish... nothing that the Discovery Channel is going to send a film crew out to document. I've seen sharks and whales, but I live at a beach and those are not unusual things there.

What would be unusual is for me to stroll around suburban Massachusetts and run into a Rhino. Rhinos, who are much feared in Africa, are bad things to run into. They are very aggressive and territorial, and would most likely kill me rather than tolerate me moving through his realm. It would care very little if I told it, "No no, you have the wrong country, doctors in America don't think that your powdered horn cures impotence." I don't even think it would eat me, just kill me, mostly to let me know how things get done in Rhino Town.

I'd rather not be smashed into pudding by a livid horned monster who weighs 3400 pounds. My car, which would end your life if I drove it over you, weighs 2300 pounds.

So, a rhino isn't what I want to see walking around suburban Massachusetts. To spare you from other tales of animal violence, I am also not disappointed by the lack of lions, cobras, leopards, cheetahs, hippopotami (?), komodo dragons, alligators, polar bears, wolverines, anacondas, chupacabra, and Godzillas living in the moors behind my house. Giraffes don't have a reputation for violence, but I'd still rather not have one walking around by my rhododendrons. Africa, Japan, Indonesia... you can keep that stuff, guys.

That doesn't mean that, in a controlled environment, I wouldn't enjoy looking at a rhino. It's an amazing, even beautiful creature. I'd pay good money to go somewhere safe and stare at rhinos and lions and other things I don't see in American suburbia. That's why people make zoos.

SL, which reflects real life even when the tigers walk on two legs and talk, is naturally going to have a Zoo go up somewhere at some point. I found one while playing in water parks. You'll get a water park article later when the photographer and I return and I am wearing a more flattering swimsuit. But we did find a zoo.

Paradise Of Fun is a sprawling entertainment complex. It features a water park, a zoo, a mall, and a food court. I went through all of them, but... c'mon guy, there's a Zoo!

It's not a long walk, but it's full of cool animals! Sorry about the exclamation point, but everyone is a kid when they go to the zoo. Unless the adult likes to go on safari a lot, an adult and a toddler have about the same amount of in-person elephant watching time. They're both children, in that sense. I shall therefore conduct myself as one, which my boss here at the SL Enquirer will tell you isn't actually all that unusual. There are very few fully self-actualized adults in the field of sportswriting, and when you throw in the virtual world part... you're lucky that I can even write at all.

POF Zoo is a large circular area where you can move from exhibit to exhibit. You first run into some flamingos, and they are across from the elephants. They have three elephants in a cage that looks about the size of the one that they have UFC fights in, but it is tough to be cruel to virtual animals. You can't jump into the cage with them, even if you are a well-trained cheerleader with pretty impressive hang time for a white chick.

Never fear, because the next exhibit is the Lion and Tiger one. This one has a very short fence, but if you hop over it for a selfie, you sort of hover above the animals. Do note from my picture in the article of this exhibit that at least one mother had no problem at all bringing an infant to a lion den with only a 3-foot fence (which a journalist was able to hop over) between her and both the Ghost and the Darkness. She lived, by the way... I saw her at the Food Court later.

If you survive the Tiger exhibit, your next stop involves tropical birds. Unfortunately, the one that looked like Toucan Sam had no breakfast cereal to offer, so f*ck him and his exhibit.

Across the lane, we have giraffes. Three giraffes also occupy a Hell In The Cell-sized pen similar to the one housing the elephants. You'll notice that the giraffes were the only creatures who we didn't have to zoom the camera into their cage to get a good picture of them, one of the few benefits of being taller than your cage.

There's a river after the giraffe exhibit. As a true investigative journalist, I dove into the river to see if it had sharks or whales or Nemos in it and was an exhibit in itself. No such luck.

My next stop was Zebras and the previously mentioned Rhino. They were in cages, there's no way to jump in, I tried. I have a Slap animation I was going to try out on the rhino, but the zoo designers were one step ahead of me. I'd recommend not putting a striped animal like a zebra behind bars, which in a two dimensional game appear as big stripes. I could barely see the fellow.

They had a gross exhibit with spiders and snakes, but I only hung around long enough for one picture. I don't like spiders and snakes, even virtual ones.

Monkeys were next, I got a pretty good shot of one through the bars. He was funky like a monkey. You really can look at him in his cage and understand why the monkeys hate humans so much in those Planet Of The Apes movies. There were antelopes after that, they were boring, and that was all she wrote for the Zoo.

We'll be back for the rest of the park later, but for now... life's a Zoo.

Saturday 17th July at noon SLT: GeekSpeak – Climate Change!

Last week there were extreme temperatures in Canada, the USA, and above the Arctic Circle.  There were stories of towns suddenly burning down and unprecedented loss of ice at the poles.  Are we now in ‘the worst-case scenario’ predicted by the IPCC?

What needs to be done?  What will our future be if we cut down on carbon emissions?  And what will it be if we don’t?

Will we see cities with all the streets covered to give some shade?  Or will we all live underground?  Or high up in the mountains?

Can we expect mass migrations, severe flooding in some areas , and severe droughts in others?  Is there any escape? Can the future be bright if we act now?

Come and discuss your future and your children’s future.  Bring all your kids.

IM Vulcan Viper, who teaches a meditation class at 1pm every Wednesday in the GeekSpeak auditorium, if you have ideas for new subjects.

July 18th - Icecremn Merlin and Tukso LIVE at Terry's Sunday Showcase

Join us on Sunday, July 18th beginning at 3pm SLT for Terry's Sunday Showcase, sponsored by the SL Enquirer! This week's featured artist is Icecremn Merlin, who returned to the SL music scene with new equipment, new sound, and some great covers you will love including Jackson Browne, Johnny Cash and Bruce Springsteen,  It's rock and roll live from his studio in Folsom CA. He also works in South Lake Tahoe as a live engineer, on a contract basis, for many headliners such as Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, Dave Mason, Cheap Trick, and many others.

Ice’s father was in a band, so music was a big influence in his life. Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys....Willie Nelson....Hank Snow and Hank Williams.  His cousin currently plays lead guitar for George Strait. The first time he performed live was at age 18 playing guitar at a biker bar. He still remembers being afraid if he wasn’t any good he would get beat up. The bikers liked the band and the drummer got them a regular gig. Asked if that was his first band, he remembered being the keyboard player in a band at age 14. He admits that he was not very good at it though he does play a little to this day.

Icecremn’s SL name was inspired by a song called "Icecream man" originally by John Brim. He really enjoyed the version rendered by Van Halen. His real-life band played a version of it at their shows. He said fondly that one of his bandmates, "smokes the lead lines" on his electric guitar. He calls it a "rockin" version. Pretty sweet, right?

A quick look at Ice's song list reveals his versatile range. His favorite covers are from Jackson Browne.  He sings Bad moon rising by Credence Clear Water Revival, Garden of Eden by Beaver Brown, Need you now by Lady Antebellum, even Margaretville by Jimmy Buffett. As you can see, he has a mix of upbeat, toe-tapping songs and slow, heartfelt ballads. His voice has a good timbre to it. This writer thinks that he sings ballads the best, especially country songs. His rendition of Lady Antebellum's  Need You Now was just brilliant; he made it his own, it was unique and just as tender as the original version.

Also debuting at Terry's this week, coming up at 4pm SLT Terry's Sunday Showcase continues with a LIVE performance from Tukso, a headliner in Second Life (14 years performance experience), and a performer with vast NYC stage experience (CBGB's, Kenny's Castaways, Knitting Factory, Red Lion, China Club, and hundreds more).  Seasoned multi-instrument musician (drums, keyboard, guitar, bass, percussion, harmonica, vocals ~ *ALL PLAYED LIVE as one-man band during concerts). Genres include funk, blues, jazz, soul, psychedelic, rock on original music created on the spot.

Come support live music with friends, laughter, and a whole lot of fun...ONLY at Terry's Place!!!

4 Top Makeover Tips You Must Read

If you avoid photographs, dread looking in the mirror, or are unhappy with your style, it might be the perfect time to overhaul your look. While beauty is more than skin deep, your appearance and clothing can affect your self-esteem.

If you want to brim with confidence each time you step outside your front door, you must find ways to transform your image. Get started with these four top makeover tips you must read.

1. Change Your Hairstyle

Are you tired of the same hair color or cut? Embrace a brand-new hairstyle to shake up your look and improve your self-confidence. Talk to a hair stylist about the best hairstyle for your facial shape, hair type, and skin tone, which will ensure you walk out of a salon feeling like a brand-new person.

2. Adopt a New Skincare Regimen

If your skin appears dull and drab, adopt a new skincare regimen to create a glowing, youthful complexion. For example, you can start by cleansing your skin with micellar water to ensure it is soft and clean. Next, apply either a facial oil or moisturizer to lock in hydration and create radiant skin that will make you look much younger than your years. Repeat the above actions at night and then apply a defense eye cream before bed to banish dark circles and slow down the aging process.

3. Ditch Your Glasses or Contact Lenses

If you rely on glasses or contact lenses for good vision, they likely impact your appearance, freedom, and style. If you want to develop a new look that will wow your loved ones, it’s time to ditch your glasses and contact lenses for good. To do so, you can book a laser eye surgery Melbourne appointment to restore your vision. It will transform your look, boost your self-confidence, and help you see clearly each day.

4. Overhaul Your Closet

Pull out every item of clothing in your closet and decide the pieces you would like to keep, sell, or donate to a charitable organization. If an outfit doesn’t make you exude confidence, replace it with items that will make you feel stylish.

Incorporate various staple pieces into your closet to mix and match your clothing, which can help you appear fashionable every day of the week. For instance, you should add:

  • A leather jacket

  • Plain white T-shirt

  • Little black dress

  • Straight leg jeans

  • A blazer

  • A midi dress

  • Sneakers

  • Button-up shirt

  • Ballet flats

Also, invest in different jewelry pieces to shake up your style, such as statement necklaces, chunky scarves, hats, and bracelets. It will keep your look fresh and interesting, and the new items can boost your confidence when at work, shopping, or socializing.

A lack of confidence can hold you back in life, as it can stop you from meeting new people or following your dreams. If you often feel self-conscious or want to transform your image, the above makeover tips can improve your look and self-esteem.
