Spotlight on Knot Today Wedding Chapel - Affordable Do it Yourself Weddings! - Lanai Jarrico Reporting…

Weddings have been practiced for centuries as a public display of love and union between two people who are joining each other’s life journey.  There are many traditions passed down through generations that can be seen practiced in modern cultures, such as the bride carrying a bouquet, the groomsmen and bridal party, the garter belt and lots of dancing and drinking. These practices have become more elaborate and expensive as new traditions are added to the celebration of love.

In Second Life, real world traditions do not always apply when couples can get married wherever and however they want using their own imagination and unique style.  There are many wedding venues in SL that offer a variety of packages that can range from 2,500L to 25,000L  and that doesn’t include the perfect attire and rings!
Knot Today Wedding Chapel is a do-it- yourself venue that is affordable but presents couples with top notch romantic scenes.  Hassle free planning is one of the reason couples are choosing KTWC.

The SL Enquirer met up with jadey Ðragon (jadeylynn resident) to learn more about having the perfect wedding day and all the things you want for an easy, fast and stress free planning experience.

Interview with jadey Ðragon

SLE:  Jadey, I have to to say the venues are beautifully designed. You created a  place for couples to experience a perfect wedding. What inspired you to create Knot Today Wedding Chapel?

jadey Ðragon: Price! My SL wedding to Pen was over the top, and really quite stressful. From going over color schemes, to picking a concert band rather than the everyday DJ, I just didn’t care. I wanted to start my life with my partner, in a nice place, and what color the flowers were meant nothing to me. Yet, 25k later, I only remember the day for how much money we dropped and how much stress we were under. That shouldn’t be a memory!

SLE: I agree! For just 300L what can couples expect when they arrive at KTWC?

jadey Ðragon: A beautiful, stress free, easy to do wedding that will allow the memories to be about the two of them and not how much money they spent. Instead of the package deal that usually includes things you don’t really need, this is ala carte. You don’t need it, you don’t have to have it. If you want it, it can be done. There are no high pressured salesman IM’ing you the minute you land. Don’t get me wrong, anything within reason can be accommodated but that’s not really our target audience.

SLE: With Summer in full swing, I’m sure you are seeing an increase in unintended wedding crashers lol. To avoid overlapping weddings, what advice can you give couples who want to book a date?

jadey Ðragon: That’s just it, you don’t even have to book a date with us. You can show up in your pajamas in the middle of the night and runoff into the sunrise. With a 10-15 minute wedding it rarely, if ever, overlaps.

SLE: It sounds like everything is going great. Are there any rules couples should know about using the venues?

jadey Ðragon: The only really strong rule we ask is that you don’t linger if another party is waiting to go next. It doesn’t happen often, the officiant is quick, but sometimes people linger for photos or the drinks that are provided and that’s ok, just don’t interrupt the next party.

SLE:  Do you make the venue private for guests who want to ensure no wedding crashers disrupt their special moment?

jadey Ðragon: Upon request, absolutely. We’ll also turn voice on to allow them to have their ceremony that way was well. All you have to do is ask.

SLE:  What other types of weddings do you accommodate?

jadey Ðragon: Other than the traditional wedding ceremonies we also have a secret garden located below that provides an automated Collaring Ceremony for those in the BDSM lifestyle. There were 2 reasons for adding this to the venue. The first reason was that many new people to the lifestyle don’t know where to begin with a collaring ceremony in SL, so they usually skip the ceremony altogether and have very little memory of it happening at all. The second reason was, of course, personal to my heart and it needed to be part of my business as my business is part of me.

SLE: You cover everything lifestyle by offering traditional, customization and even collaring ceremonies.   For Elopements and weddings on the fly, how can they DIY their service?

jadey Ðragon: Everything you need is completely provided! You have the tradition walk down the aisle, the awkward stand as the officiant reads the vows, and the most important, a kissing pose. When the wedding is complete, the poses to walk back down the aisle together is also provided. All you have to do is show up, make a small payment and follow directions.

SLE: All of that for only 300L! Do you offer packages?

jadey Ðragon: No. Everything is ala carte available, but that’s not really what this chapel was designed for. If you need a photographer, videographer, DJ etc. it can be done but our target audience are more the ones who are not looking for fluff or high-end extras.

SLE: Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers about Knot Today Wedding Chapel & Studio?

jadey Ðragon: Just because we want you to do it yourself, doesn’t mean you have too. If you need help we’re available, but we won’t try to sell you anything or talk you into spending more money. We’re very approachable people and wanting to truly make your day special.

SLE:I wish Knot Today Wedding Chapel much success! How do you prefer to be contacted for special reservations and requests?

jadey Ðragon: Drop a notecard, I do not ever want anyone to feel as if they’re being neglected or ignored and IMs sometimes get capped.

Seanchai Library’s Orient Express - Murder on a Snow Bound Train - Seersha Heart

On Friday July 6, 2018 the SL Enquirer brought you news of the Seanchai Library’s “Tea Time on the Orient Express” running July 8 to August 12, 2018.  On July 22, we had an opportunity to visit with the creative energy behind this series.  The series takes place in a skybox created specifically for the Orient Express.  The demise of Mr. Samuel Ratchett occurs in this closed environment.  The murder must be among us.  To catch you up on the story:
“After taking the Taurus Express from Aleppo in Syria to Istanbul, private detective Hercule Poirot arrives at the Tokatlian Hotel. There he receives a telegram prompting him to return to London. He instructs the concierge to book a first-class compartment on the Simplon-Orient Express, leaving that night. Although the train is fully booked, Poirot obtains a second-class berth, but only with the intervention of a friend and fellow Belgian who is also boarding the train, M. Bouc, a director of the railway, Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits. Aboard the train, a malevolent, elderly American, Samuel Ratchett, attempts to hire Poirot because he believes his life is threatened, but Poirot refuses out of distaste for the man.
Imagine the surprise when the famed train is trapped in the Yugoslavian mountains by an avalanche, and the unpleasant Mr. Ratchett turns up dead - horribly murdered!”            Seanchai HYPERLINK "http://irelandslstory.blogspot.com/p/te.html" Library website

Seanchai Library’s summer series "TEA TIME on the Orient Express” is moving into the second part of the six-week series.  The series will continue this Sunday July 29, 2018 at 1:30 slt in the Yugoslavian mountains, trapped on all sides by an avalanche.  The next installment will complete the “Evidence” portion of the program leading into the “Hercule Poirot Sits Back and Thinks” segments.

Those familiar with Agatha Christie’s novel Murder on the Orient Express [available free in PDF format or audio] or the movie will find the performance at Seanchai Library delightfully entertaining.  Performed in voice, the series features;

“notable SL voices such as Avajean Westland and David Abbot, in addition to Seanchai regulars Corwyn Allen (as Poirot), Kayden Oconnell, and Aoife Lorefield; and Library friends Boudicca Amat and Bryn Taleweaver.  Audience and voice talent will be mixed together during sessions, adding to the experience.”

The skybox is located above Holly Kai Park on the Blake Sea.  Seanchai Library staff and players highly recommend visiting the series site before, during and after attending the sessions.  The Istanbul station is no longer in place, the skybox has been transformed to the “snowy mountains of Yugoslavia”. Most of the story unfolds in this snowy location within the trapped train.  There is plenty of snow for all. For additional enjoyment I recommend attending in clothing of the period, 1930s. This can add to your own feeling of authenticity while listening and participating in this popular event.  Please see links below for information on clothing of the 1930s for both men and women. If you have not participated in any of the Seanchai Library programs yet, jump aboard this train destination: intrigue!

Watch the SL Enquirer for more information on the upcoming events at Seanshai Library including the
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Hound of the Baskervilles" beginning September 2nd 2018.

Part Two - The Evidence:
Sunday, July 29th: 1:30-2:30 pm slt - Part Two, Chapters 8-13
Part Three - Hercule Poirot Sits Back and Thinks:
Sunday, August 5th: 1:30-2:30 pm slt - Part Two, Ch 14 - Part Three, Ch 2
Sunday, August 12th: 1:30-3:00 pm slt - Part Three, Chapters 3-9

History of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express provided by Seanchai Library’s Caledonia Skytower:
"Murder on the Orient Express" features Agatha Christie's Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. It was first published in the United Kingdom on 1 January 1934. In the United States, it was published on 28 February 1934, under the title of "Murder in the Calais Coach." In addition to Christie's tale, the famed train has been depicted in numerous books, films including Graham Greene's "Stamboul Train" (1932) and "From Russia with Love" by Ian Fleming (1957).
In The New York Times Book Review of 4 March 1934, Isaac Anderson wrote, "The great Belgian detective's guesses are more than shrewd; they are positively miraculous. Although both the murder plot and the solution verge upon the impossible, Agatha Christie has contrived to make them appear quite convincing . . .  what more than that can a mystery addict desire?"

Role-play & Achievements Drive Play in the beYou World Shiny Blackheart reporting

The life simulation game,The Sims, is one of the mot successful video game franchises series of all time. No one might have predicted this at the start of the games creation. Designer Will Wright had conceived the game while recovering from the trauma of losing his home to fire and using the construction of a “virtual dollhouse” to rebuild his life while also creating a new home in the physical realm. A game without winners or losers, driven by an AI built on an armature of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and Hamden Turner’s mind maps, role playing life in the digital universe has been a great success and it should be no surprise that in the world’s largest virtual community, Second Life, a game within the game called beYOU World help players strive for life’s big and little achievements, giving them a sense of accomplishment.

After months of brainstorming in 2013 Brianna Altneu, Moxie Polano and a few other community members like Gunner Walker, Forda Fairlane wanted to begin this “game within the grid of second life.”

Brianna Altneu and Moxie Polano are the founders of beYOU World but the team has had a few different members as the beYOU project developed. They say they have the “perfect team” currently: Moxie Polano (art, design, game play and 3-D Mesh), Brianna Altneu (in-world scripting, game development, art) Treon Bikcin (backend developer/web design and in-world communications and scripting) and Denis Tristan (3-D Mesh Art wizard and animations guru).

The game is very complex and the team took over a year testing in a beta version and adding things as the process unfolded. The developers explained, “The game will always be released in steps as its real-life based ideas, so it’s never ending and always changing in natural order.  There will always be more stages and things to add like professions, new quests, crafting supply's, recipes for cooking in the kitchen, farming crops and more and more!”

When asked what is the core mission that drives all this effort founders sayIn beYou you can be me, be you, or be virtually anything or anybody you want. The beYou team realizes that everyday real life can be overwhelming and hard at times. Some of us may have disabilities that hold us back from things we would love to do in the real life. Some don't have real families or friends to even interact with. Regardless of your RL situations, our main goal is to provide players just that and to make it fun and entertaining. We want to give the players a game where they can feel like they are apart of a family and community that care for each other. Community, it’s what brings people together.  Players can also choose from out many professions available. Perhaps be a Doctor, Lawyer, Farmer, or even a Chef. All of these professions are geared with the end goal of personal accomplishment.”

“The goal is to create a community based economy that grows from different professions that are interconnected between each other.  This progression acts just like real life progression, which takes the time and drive, depending on the level of role play you wish to involve. You make it your life to enjoy and fulfill as you wish.”

The game begins with retrieving the role-playing HUD system, found and purchased for free in the SL marketplace, and creating an account. Of course a player must agree to the terms of service, and should read them because like in any community not understanding them or abiding by guide, can get you exiled.  A note card with account creation instructions is delivered along with the HUD.

“The HUD isn't the main focus of the game. Although you do need it to interact with beYou World and it will show a player their personal stats. It's just one part of the whole system. [The beYOU website is] more important because the game is based on assets you hold in your beYou account.” the founders explained. The website, http://www.beyouworld.comis a crucial part of the gaming experience.

Some information in the registration process like your account key and legacy name are set-up automatically but then you will choose some attributes that begin to create your game experience. Is your player a teen, adult or child, male or female are the first few choices.A player who wants to be the best furry lawyer in SL for example is also available; just select the option from human, vampire, furry, or supernatural as per your preference from the race selections.

Once registration is complete just login and make sure you have the beYOU HUD and your beWorld meter.

The meter tells the player their stats in the categories: Hygiene, Energy, Reputation, Social, Wellness, Mana, Mood, and Dedication. As soon as game play commences the player’s 100% reading begins to diminish, as these stats require sustenance, care and skilled activity to sustain.

Skill Points are rewarded by wearing the HUD and being in world as well as game-play. As Skill points become available they can be allotted to seven different abilities: Charisma, Logic, Creativity, Spirituality, Fitness, Cooking, and Mechanical.

The community in beYOU world is very diverse and anyone who has watched the group chat of beYOU World will find a helpful community of administrators and players managing the beginning learning curve and strategizing their gameplay. Founders are encouraging helpfulness in the game because they claim the community is“still growing [and] we are seeing all kinds of different types of people from everywhere
beYou is a very versatile gaming environmentand gameplay is approached in different ways. Some players are role-playing the family unit, while others are happy totest their culinary skills and farm all on their own.

Founders saywhat makes beYOU different from other experiences in SL is “that there are no bounds to what can be added to this experience, you decide.  We will continue to provide the tools and content to enhance your experience by enhancing and expanding out he careers and game features as much as possible.”

When asked if beYOU is solely about the virtual experience or is it a RL educational tool as well the team says, “We think that with everything in SL there is a commitment from RL if you plan to progress in anything worthwhile and productive. Some people may make huge commitments to their careers in beYou because they can generate Lindens by selling their products to other customers. Others however might only use beYou in passing and stay clear from any RL time commitment.”

Visit the website for information and registration. In Second Life visit the beYOU City Hall to get started, explore careers. In the Learning Center you will find links to informative instructional videos or go direct to their beYOU World YouTube channel.

Spotlight Interview

Q. Shiny: How did beYou begin?

A. beYOU Founders: Back in 2013 Brianna Altneu, Moxie Polano and a few other community member like Gunner Walker, Forda Fairlane  come up with some ideas to make a game within the grid of second life. Moxie and Brianna had worked together on some other projects in world and become great friends. They enjoyed working together as well as shared the same rare work ethics. Although it took months playing with ideas even to begin a foundation, they come up with a game based on real life role-playing with achievements based on gameplay that gave the players a feeling of accomplishment.

Q. Shiny: When did the community launch? Did it go through stages?
A. beYOU Founders: We started testing with the community in a beta, and add things as we went. It took about a year in beta because the game is so complex. The game will always be released in steps as its Real life based ideas, so it’s never ending and always changing in natural order.  There will always be more stages and things to add like professions, new quest, crafting supply's, recipes for cooking in the kitchen, farming crops and more

Q. Shiny: Who are the founders? builders?
Brianna Altneu and Moxie Polano are the founders. Through the years there had been a few other team members but we found the perfect match for the current team that includes Moxie Polano (Art, design, game play and 3d Mesh), Brianna Altneu (In world scripting, game development, art and overall master), Treon Bikcin (Back End Developer/Web Design and in-world communications and scripting) and Denis Tristan (3d Mesh Art Wizard and animations guru).

Q. Shiny: Who designed the HUD?
A. beYOU Founders: Overall it was a collaborative team effort on the function of the Hud. Moxie Polano did the HUD design /art and Treon Bikcin did the scripting. The meter was designed by Denis Tristan and also scripted by Treon Bikcin.

Q. Shiny: What is beYou’s core mission and goal?

A. beYOU Founders: In beYou you can be me, be you, or be virtually anything or anybody you want.   The beYou team realizes that everyday real life can be overwhelming and hard at times. Some of us may have disabilities that hold us back from things we would love to do in the real Life. Some don't have real families or friends to even intervene with . Regardless of you RL situations, our main goal is to provide players just that and to make it fun and entertaining.  We want to give the players a game where they can feel like they are apart of a family and community that cares for each other.. Community..  it’s what brings people together.  Players can also choose from out many professions available. Perhaps be a Doctor,  Lawyer, Farmer, or even a Chef. All of these professions are geared with the end goal of personal accomplishment.

Q. Shiny: How would you describe the community? What makes it distinct from other experiences in SL?

A. beYOU Founders: We have a very diverse and helpful community. Because it is still growing we are seeing all kinds of different types of people from everywhere and  one common trait we like to push within our group is helpfulness. Users always help each other out with information they’ve gained over time. Of course, we also provide the community with experienced CSR’s as well as encourage player interaction to assist in anyway possible. beYou is so versatile, gameplay can be approached in several different ways.  For example, some people really enjoy role-playing the family unit, while others just want to cook and farm and keep to themselves and do their own thing. I think what makes it different from other experiences in SL is that there are no bounds to what can be added to this experience, you decide.  We will continue to provide the tools and content to enhance your experience by enhancing and expanding out he careers and game features as much as possible.

Q. Shiny: Is beYOU solely about the virtual experience or is an RL educational tool as well? Or both? How does that relationship work? What do you think users are looking for in the beYou Community?

A. beYOU Founders: We think that with everything in SL there is a commitment from RL if you plan to progress in anything worthwhile and productive. There are certainly some aspects of careers that allow for learning and may translate over to RL in some ways. Additionally these may not always translate over as people would expect. There is certainly a dichotomy to it. Some people may make huge commitments to their careers in beYou because they can generate Lindens by selling their products to other customers. Others however might only use beYou in passing and stay clear from any RL time commitment.

Q. Shiny: Why should other SL users join beYou in you opinion?
A. beYOU Founders: Not only is it fun and exciting but it can make them lindens. Players can create their own farmers markets and craft things to sell as each profession offers items that others professions may need in their business. It is a great way to meet other people and share common interests. We are always taking suggestions from our users on how to improve the game and the more people there are contributing the better the experience ends up being.

Q. Shiny: What I one of the greatest success stories, or interesting moments in beYou’s history you would like to share?
A. beYOU Founders: It’s difficult to pinpoint any specific success story to stand out from the rest, however we think it’s safe to say our biggest success story is getting beYou off the ground and running. The amount of work that goes into building and maintaining a successful role play system like this is huge, so huge it took years of development. We have managed to get to where we are now with a relatively small group of people actually grinding away behind the scenes so we are proud of our progress so far.

Q. Shiny: What are beYou’s current challenges?
A. beYOU Founders: Current Challenges is keeping up with the community's excitement. We have shared many things that will be added to the gaming system and they want them as soon as possible. It can be quite complex to add one thing even as small as a recipe let alone a new profession. The beYou team works diligently to provide more content on a regular basis to enrich the gaming experience.

Q. Shiny: What are beYou’s future goals and visions?
A. beYOU Founders: This game is so expandable so really the sky's the limit.  Plus we can't share all the secrets :) The goal is to create a community based economy that grows from different professions that are interconnected between each other.  This progression acts just like real life progression, which takes the time and drive, depending on the level of role play you wish to involve.   You make it your life to enjoy and fulfill as you wish.

Q. Shiny: Decribe the beYou HUD?Speak to its development and features. What do you want readers to know about the HUD?

A. beYOU Founders: The HUD isn't the main focus of the game. Although you do need it to interact with beYou and it will show a player their personal stats. It's just one part of the whole system. More important because the game is based on assets you hold in your beYou account , the website located at http://www.beyouworld.com/ is a crucial part of the gaming experience.

Q. Shiny: What are the important landmarks for beYOU? Where should people visit to learn more?

A. beYOU Founders: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/beYou/112/151/30  is the landmark to our help area and learning center.

Q. Shiny: Are there any important upcoming events that you would like readers to know about?

A. beYOU Founders: We are heading into our one-year anniversary for going live. There aren’t any specific events that we are holding right now but one thing is for sure, we are expecting to make many more improvements and add more careers in year two. Expect for more beYou products and fun game additions to come out in the next few months.

Q. Shiny: Is there anything I haven’t asked and you want to share with readers? Any images?

A. beYOU Founders: We are continuously working on game content on daily basis to add to the already literally thousands of items already implemented into the game.  Each and every item is scripted to enhance the gaming experience of each and every player.  For example, living room suites, yoga mats, bedrooms, dinners, drinks and so much more.  beYou developers have introduced crafting items to expand each profession's productivity.  Every item for beYou is made to directly interact with the game HUD and enhance the RP experience or each and every player. And if you want to have a little laugh the team here at beYou has great humor, just start reading the back of some of the product labels and packaging as we do like to have a little fun as we work!!!

Esmiel Posthorn – Profiles, Emoting and Death by Cobra - Seersha Heart

There are many colorful characters in SL.  All you need to do to find one is keep your head up, perv some profiles and listen to local when you can follow the conversations.  I was researching Emoting for Trouble Communicating n SL – Instant Messages [IMs] – A Complicated Process” when I discovered Esmiel Posthorn’s dormant blog.  I love his style of writing as well as how he puts together a story.  As I read more of his blog I knew I had to share some of his thoughts with more people.  In this article you will learn all about him, from his favorite murder weapon and first SL exploits with Xcite! to his thoughts on profiles.  I hope you enjoy our conversation, I think Esmiel is a kick!!

Seersha Heart:Welcome Esmiel thank you so much for joining me today.  I have a lot of questions for you.  Tell me how did you
first come to be an SL resident?

EsmielPosthorn:  Hi Seersha, thanks for asking me along!  My RL boyfriend (now husband yay!) set up an account for some reason or other way back in maybe October or early November 2006. I had a look over his shoulder a few times and figured it seemed kinda fun, so I set up my own account. We hung out together for a while, but he stopped playing quickly - I don't think he found as many cool places or interesting friends here as I did. Since then I've fallen deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole..

Seersha Heart:Your writing has a real comedic frankness; can you share any stories of what you may have done as a newbie that make you cringe now?

EsmielPosthorn:  Oh dude. Awful clicky sex with Xcite parts - remember those? Can't believe I used to be a fan of those parts! Apart from that, just everything - how I looked, how I acted. Not knowing how to click properly so sitting on danceballs and that kinda thing.

Forgetting to attach my butt for a threesome so the guys had nothing to put their (BLEEP) in. Good times.

Falling in love too easily with random people. Happened a few times, it's easy to get carried away when you're presented with a perfect, masked representation of someone.

Being perfect myself didn't help much either when it came to people falling for me..

Seersha Heart: [/me picks myself off the floor where I laughed until I cried listening to Esmiel’s last answer] I may laugh myself to death before we finish Esmiel!  Do you think you will ever post to your blog again?

EsmielPosthorn: I've been reading back over it since you contacted me and it's been making me very nostalgic; I had some great times writing for that blog, but I think if I ever wrote again, it would be for a new one. There are so many blogs out there now, I wouldn't attempt to create one until I'd found a niche nobody else was writing about.

It would be good to shed the awkwardness of the past and do something fresh and interesting. But what to write about?
Who cares about personal stories and interests these days when everyone just wants fashion tips and pics of boobs?

Seersha Heart: [/me hides latest printouts of fashion tips and pics of boobs; clears throat] Profiles are fascinating and so personal.  Do you think perving profiles is an art form?  Share some of your observations about profiles in SL.

EsmielPosthorn:  Perving profiles may not be an art form, but I think writing them sure is. I've always made sure mine was up to date and relevant as much as possible. It's your way of saying to people "this is a taste of who I am.. do you want to know more?".. and if their answer is no, then your profile hasn't worked. Or maybe it has, if you don't like having people around..

I have noticed those that say something like "NO DRAMA PLZ" are often full of things that create drama, amusingly.
Something that always irked me was how people misconstrue Picks as pics.. it isn't just for your favourite photographs! Use them to tell us about cool places and people!

Seersha Heart:  I wonder, where do you think your creative flair for writing originates?  Have you studied writing, is it practice?  What makes your writing so damn compelling?

EsmielPosthorn:  I’ve always enjoyed writing, both at a creative level and more formal. I got high marks for essays and reports written in my high school history and English classes, and later when I studied physics at university, I learned to examine things critically and become more succinct and direct with everything I wrote.

My creative writing comes from a need to flesh out and describe the worlds I imagine in my head. Roleplay in SL is a great way to expand your writing talent, especially if you can find someone who shares your ideas and is happy to write long, detailed posts with you.

Seersha Heart:  Esmiel the blogger is a bit of a provocateur.  Tell us, is Esmiel Posthorn evil, a tease or none of the above?

EsmielPosthorn:  I'd like to think he's not evil, but he does sometimes have a slight mean streak. Definitely a tease; I can't count the number of times I have done something just to get a response from someone. I'm good at learning what people like and how to push their buttons, and I do it whether I intend for it to go anywhere or not.

Seersha Heart: You wrote your saucy piece about emoting in August 2007.  Do you recall something that happened in your life that sparked your creativity and desire to share your emoting?

EsmielPosthorn:
I can’t remember much from back then - my heady student days. My creativity and need to express myself always fluctuates, day to day, year to year; I'm in a bit of a rut at the moment but I know I'll climb out of it when something inspires me. I cannot recall anything specific about that time, however I must have either received some questions about RP & emotes, or met someone who was truly awful at it, that I felt the need to educate everyone..

Seersha Heart: Looks like you have a tried a bit of everything in SL…social, building, exploring…. what is your thing these days in SL?  The DJing?

EsmielPosthorn:
I DJ once a week, which is a nice anchor for my SL. The club (Starfall) has been my regular place for 9+ years and it really is my second home. At the moment I am heavily into landscaping. I have a quarter homestead that I love filling up with plants and decor. I've recently been on a tour of the Scottish Highlands IRL (I live in Edinburgh) and it's inspired me to remodel my parcel into something resembling a loch you'd find nestled in the glens somewhere.
I have a small family here now, some friends I became very attached to and adopted as children/siblings. It's amazing sharing this great space with people you know & trust.

Seersha Heart: I’ve asked you a lot of questions so far today.  Now I am going to ask you some questions I hope will be a lot of fun to answer.  First one, I am writing a book all about you, your biography, what do I title this book?

EsmielPosthorn:  I think it should be called .. "How to achieve Happiness in 12 Easy Years"

Seersha Heart: Priceless!  You are given the task to explain SL to a 5-year-old child.  What do you say?

EsmielPosthorn:   It's a big online world of people to meet and stuff to do! You can chat to other people from all over the globe and make friends with them; you can play games and even make your own; you can build castles and mountains and make your own little paradise.

But it is NOT FOR KIDS!!

Seersha Heart: FantasticEsmiel….let’s talk to the dark side of Esmiel….What would you choose as the perfect murder weapon?  Why?

EsmielPosthorn:  Perfect as in .. most fun, or easiest to get away with? For the former, surely something like a tank. Just have a laugh, maybe take the whole street out while you're at it.
As for the latter.. probably venom or something. Just steal a cobra from your local pet store and chuck it in their bed. You'll be in Mexico sipping tequilas before they've even found a snake missing.

Seersha Heart: Leave it to you to parse your murder weapon selections.  <<laughs>>  I’m going to ask around about you now.  I ask your pet to describe you.  What does he tell me about you?

EsmielPosthorn: He would say “He's pretty lazy and we don't go walkies as often as I'd like. He hates when I bark loudly, but he loves when I go for cuddles or some lap time. He is always happy to see me and always sneaks me extra treats.”

Seersha Heart: [/me laughs] If you could introduce any celebrity to SL, bring them in as a newb who would you pick?  Why?  What would you teach them about sl?

EsmielPosthorn:  I'd love to see what someone like Adam Savage from Mythbusters would do with the scripting and building possibilities here. That'd be great fun to see.

Seersha Heart:Reflecting to the murder weapon question, let’s assume you are scheduled to be executed.  What is your last meal?

EsmielPosthor:  I'll have a sushi platter, with lots of avocado and tempura shrimp rolls. Next it'll be a wagyu beef burger with a poached egg, onion rings and cheddar cheese, sweet potato fries on the side.
Dessert is a pile of donuts - fresh whipped cream, jelly, fresh fruit, glaze, sprinkles, the lot - with sauces for dipping and drizzling.

Seersha Heart: [marvels that Esmiel didn’t even pause to think about answering about his last meal]; I was thinking, what if you were the top boss at a large company.  What one item do you ban?  What one item do you make compulsory?

EsmielPosthorn:  I'm going to ban printers, because they suck and never work. We're going to have properly paperless offices and everyone will have little tablets and iPad things instead, it'll be great.
As for compulsory - how about mandatory cocktail party Friday afternoons?

Seersha Heart: I have had such fun talking to you today Esmiel!  Let’s wrap up Hollywood style.  Can you describe yourself using movie titles?

EsmielPosthorn:           ………………..Interstellar…..Die Hard…..Catch Me If You Can….
