Spotlight on Timothy Bisquit , SL Hip Hop Artist Releases the SL Blueprint Albums. -Lanai Jarrico Reporting..

Lanai going hard at Club Indica

Hip Hop is my favorite genre. I’m not ashamed to go hard on some Jay Z, Rick Ross or  even some Kanye west while driving in my car or cleaning my house. I haven't gotten the cops called on me yet for loud music but I've gotten dirty looks.  It’s not just a genre of music, it’s a culture. From music and fashion to attitude. People can either love it, hate it or keep it movin, cause Hip Hop is here to stay.

One thing you can find in the Hip Hop genre that you can’t find in many cookie cutter songs these days, is realism, slick rhymes mixed with humor. The hustle of the street and the way a hip hop artist can use their experiences to overcome obstacles and attain a dream, is what most is about.  But lets not get it twisted. Hip Hop is not all about being gangsta, hardships and hustles in the hood.  Artists such as Taylor Swift, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Gweneth Paltrow even that old crow Madonna has been known to go hard and spit on the mic and those ladies probubly couldn't even bust a grape in a fruit fight.

Anyway....

I met with Bahiyaa Jumanya, the owner and CEO of Digital Arts Talent Agency, and was given a tour of her amazing office and home.

Spotlight on Zapp Club, A Real Life Venue comes to Second Life Mehseti Reporting...

Zapp is one of those clubs you can see in “Hotspot” ratings.  Here you can find pleasure in listening to real life DJs’ streaming for you. It is a place where you can gather with all of your friends, every day if you wanted to.

Do you have a preference for a special genre of music? Here you can hear everything from hard rock to trance, including electro and progressive stuff too. I have been here on several occasions and it is always full of people participating in different contests. Proud owners of Zapp are DJ LeahJane Munro and JaneMay Teardrop. I had the pleasure of talking to LeahJane at the SL Enquirer Media Center last week.  She is really very friendly and gave me a lot of interesting information about her club.

The Wire: Spotlight on DJ Rico Rodex Cynamon Pearl Reporting...

When asked what makes him tick DJ Rico Rodex will probably give you some cheeky response, but when I conducted this interview he unabashedly declares a love for Dancehall Reggae music as loud and clear as a thumping baseline. The music, ‘Dancehall Reggae’ has its origin in the Caribbean island of Jamaica; however bringing the Caribbean vibe into unchartered territory is this DJ’s speciality and primary mission. It could be that his diverse background gives him a natural aptitude for crossing cultural boundaries. Hailing Jamaican and Puerto Rican mix brings a new interesting splash of flavour that sets him apart from the ordinary. In fact, Dancehall Reggae itself is a hybrid of mixing of African drums with thick Reggae baselines while spicing it up with MC’s toasting catchy lyrics on top of hypnotic rhythms that make the body feel nice. Once you’ve had a little taste it’s not difficult to get hooked.
