SL Newser: Kev Sweetwater's Burn2 Memorial Service

Last week, the Burn2 community lost one among them when Kev Sweetwater passed away. On Saturday May 19th, a memorial service/wake was held for him at Deep Hole, attended by his friends in the Burners, the Tombstone RP, and elsewhere. The end of the service was marked as only the Burn2 community can: with a ceremonial temple burn.

BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHT AIDS FUNDRAISER

As part of Dream Seeker Estates Gay Pride Celebration in June, we have put together a series of events in order to raise money for the charity Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Most of us have been touched by AIDS in one way or another. Sadly, this dreadful disease has fallen off the main stage as an illness, but still needs all our help. At the end of 2011, there were over 34 million people suffering with AIDS worldwide.

Memorial Day in America and in Second Life - Lanai Jarrico Reporting...

Memorial day originated after the American civil war to honor the fallen union soldiers. Since the early 1900’s it has been observed on the last Monday of May in the United States. This is a day of honor and remembrance of all the courageous men and women that have since died in the United States Armed forces. It also marks the beginning of Summer and vacation season. Observers visit cemeteries to deliver flowers and flags, others celebrate with cookouts including fireworks and family reunions.

Virtual Attitude Wrestling, Coming soon to a Sim Near You- Lukes Lionheart Reporting...

It's about to get ugly

Have you ever found yourself bored on a Tuesday night in SL? You could go to the club….again. Shopping? *Yawn!* Hey, I know! How about WRESTLING? That’s right SL Pro wrestling! One of the more fun things I have found on SL. Though wrestling isn’t exactly new on SL, there is a federation on the gird that is sitting the wrestling community on fire. Say hello to the “VAW”, Virtual Attitude Wrestling, SL’s only traveling pro wrestling show.

OI Magazine: A Slice Of The Second Life's Suburb Sims' History From Molly Montale's Plate - Luc Fray

Molly Montale

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to talk to one of Second Life™ 's oldest residents, Molly Montale.

Montale had joined the game since 2005 after seeing an article about it in New York Times™. Though not as active now as she was before, mostly because of health problems, Montale still granted me the time of the day when she had agreed to talk regarding one of Second Life's biggest issue back when the game first started standing up on wobbly legs...
