Comedy Relief: Slut Gear on Super sale in Second Life! Come get you some- Lanai Jarrico Reporting...

Since the beginning of Second Life, self-expression has been the #1 goal for many who embark on this virtual journey. Whether people like to express themselves artistically, musically, poetically, or verbally. It has all come down to one thing. Personality. Everyone has their own and it shows in the unique ways people communicate here while collecting friends who share common interests.

Aside from personalities, a good visual helps enhance the persona they are trying to project. Well in some cases...

Everyone in the virtual world regardless of a bubbly personality or a lackluster introvert, the appearance of an avatar speaks volumes, it either aligns with the person’s personality or often time leaves nothing else for the imagination. Either way, is there a right or wrong? Does decorum even matter in Second Life?

That brings me to the purpose of this article. I’m boggled by some of the choices peeps make when it comes to their avatar appearance. Perhaps I’m being a Karen or I’m just being vocal where others just shake their heads and banter back and forth in IM cracking jokes about the various choices of attire and whatnot while they “people watch” at venues.

Just like in real life, In Second Life bodies come in all shapes and sizes just like mesh clothes. Finding something that works can be a challenge but the rule of thumb is if you are unsure about a fit,  try a demo or go a size up instead of 3 sizes too small to avoid looking like a sausage in spandex with all your bits and bobs hanging out or a special shopper that frequents the local Walmart, some peeps should check the mirror (zoom in closely and pan around your avatar)  before teleporting out the door.

While visiting a concert, I was inspired to write about this topic in hopes it will help lead avatars in a different direction or at least give them food for thought. How we perceive ourselves is way different than how others see us. For instance, I know I’m a Goddess in both worlds but Orion and a few others seem to think I’m not. I won’t argue the fact…let’s move on, it’s not ALL about me.

The first thing I want to bring up is the 2 decades-long trend of thigh-high extra tight boots and ultra minis. Why does it seem, the majority of single ladies dancing in the clubs seem to be wearing this same uniform? I’m perplexed. Maybe it's some secret society or something. Are classy girls excluded from whatever it is they are doing? DO I even want to know? Let’s start with the ladies before I tear into the opposite sex and their choices. WHY? Just why?

I set out to find answers…

With liquid courage in hand…. I set out to interview some men on the topic of Slut Gear to see if it really turns them on or makes them secretly rethink their gender orientation.

Not trying to be biased or anything but I turned to SLE’s own Orion Baral. I literally didn’t have to say a word, I just glanced at someone in the crowd and gave him the side eye and he already knew my question.  “Call me old fashioned but elegance is sexy”, he said as he began derendering women left and right I think a few dudes got erased from his screen too.

The next person I approached was Ninjaantwoord who gives 0 fux when it comes to giving an upfront honest opinion and here’s what he had to say. “OK, just so I’m clear, panties belong under skirts when in public, same as in real life. Obviously, there are exceptions to this rule, but generally, if you don’t want to be viewed as a slut, it’s easier if you don’t dress like one.”

Luchenpur Darwin, Owner of Center Ground Gallery of Art said,  “I guess a lot is dependent on the setting.  If they are at the beach or clubs where club sexy. Be as sexy as you want to be. It is the appropriate attire for it then have at it. I think it's fine.  Most of the time though sensual and sexy dress to me still means you don't have to show it all to attract attention. And the way an outfit is cut to show some skin can still be enticing.   I don't have any advice except, to do what makes you feel good and happy about yourself.

Another male who wished to remain anonymous so we will call him “Phil” said, “well there are a few directions questioning why they do, or just shaming, or psychological why they hate their mothers and have daddy issues and dress like that”

These men bring up good points but I really had to dig my heels in deep to find a man who actually likes scantily clad females walking around with camel toes, cleavages, and asscracks on full display. Not to mention the bounce action.

I came across a fellow that I will call “Fred” who was hanging out at the Keyhole like a roach on a wall. I could tell by his basic avatar appearance and freebie t-shirt that read “I love Tiddies” that he was only in Second Life for a “good time”.  I'm pretty sure he derendered my clothing the second he saw me, as his crosshairs were all over me when I landed. At first, he stayed silent and then said…..” no Inglés. ¿puedo tener algunos Lindens?

WTF! Moving on…

Poups Sabra; Kreatures Breeder says, to be honest, Lanai, I like women wearing sexy clothes but to me, there is a difference between showing a little bit with classy clothes and wearing gross clothes, too much does not attract me at all.  Second life is a free world so everyone can do what they like and I respect that, but my advice to these girls would be not to do too much because that will not attract the few good guys out there ... that s how I see it.”

Poups brings up a good point about the quality of men that these women are potentially missing out on dressing like that.  It’s true, not all sluts end up like Julia Robert’s character, Vivian Ward in the movie Pretty Woman

Anyway,  I decided to take it a step further with the majority of the women choosing the type of outfits that would offend the average streetwalker like Vivian, I turned to the music scene and asked a couple of musicians their thoughts on these groupies that show up at their gigs.

I asked long-time musician and friend Dallas Winslet his thoughts on slut gear at his concerts and he had this to say,  “actually I am glad they come but I never really see what they r wearing, but I really don't mind what they wear. I am really too busy concentrating on what I am doing.”

That makes sense but I had to ask him when he is out and about does it attract his attention.

“Well, I am a man and I love women but I don't go looking to see what they r wearing”

Fair enough.

The next musician I accosted for input  was the one and only Icecremn Merlin who was glad to share some insight.

“LOL.....My fans are mostly older 40 plus and are there because I don't play what other players play so most dress properly. Those who dress sultry or slutty are always welcome, but I think it's silly. The part I don't get is why they hit on me.  I mean really....cartoon sex?..... Come on. But...I have seen some avatars in here and I'm amazed at how good they look...and those are the ones that dress appropriately.”

I think Icecremn is on to something extraordinary here... Appropriately dressed women are actually sexier.

Upon gathering some insight from men in Second Life the only conclusion I can come up with is the old-fashioned saying “to each their own”. Everyone has the right to wear what they want to wear and act like they want to act just so long as it is not infringing on others or cause harm to another person. Self-degradation is also a choice one must live with if it is a choice they are willing to accept. Women practicing the slut gear culture can’t be surprised when they are treated with the type of respect or lack thereof based on the “uniform” they wear. Just like a clown cannot complain about not being taken seriously.

AVIE POLL: IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE RAPED IN A VIRTUAL WORLD?

April is Rape Awareness Month. According to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti sexual violence organization shows that every 73 seconds an American is sexually assaulted. Statistics show 1 out of 6 American women have been victims of attempted rape or raped and 1 in 33 men have experienced an attempted or completed rape in their lifetime. These are staggering statistics. How can we help?

The Me Too Movement has been a resource since 2006 and really became mainstream in 2017 when many well known celebrities began to use their voice and support the movement on social media and speak out against sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Many women and men who have been victimized feel shame or embarrassment so they suffer in silence while others report their abusers with hope for justice and to help spare other victims.

This is a serious topic that affects millions around the world. While Second Life is a virtual platform where people come and feel a sense of security from physical abuse,  some would say rape cannot happen in a virtual world because we have the ability to log off, teleport to safety, report harassment to Linden Labs, mute, boot and ban the sexual offender.

With all these safety tools to combat an attempted rape in a virtual world, there are residents that still have been sexually exploited or victimized unwillingly. Some residents were on the fence about the topic because there are a couple of roleplay communities that engage in sexual assault and abuse as a kink. It is sad to say those fetishes may be stem from rl rape and abuse. I am not referring to those types of fetish venues. They use RLV Huds that give permission for avie control.

In other instances in Second Life, attempted and virtual rapes have occurred in various communities by offenders who often get away with that behavior. For example, leaving your avie unattended while you go AFK. If you are seated in a chair that allows for couples and sex. Someone can easily sit on a poseball and begin manipulating the menu to do sex acts on the unsuspecting party only for the to return to being violated without permission. Another instance is during a sexual encounter the offender begins to roleplay an assault without consent. Is this a grey area because no real physical harm was done but what about the emotional effects it leaves behind?

I asked avatars across the grid if they considered it virtual sexual assault even if it is done by emoting, poseballs or voicing actions of rape if consent was not given. Here are their opinions and stories. * names have been changed to protect their identities.

Justyn: "Yes, of course rape is possible! I mean, how else would I get laid in sl? But seriously, yes I believe it is possible and most likely happening to newbies and perhaps younger people due to their lack of understanding SL. Consent isn’t exactly needed for AFK fuckers, but I don’t think some know enough and are taken advantage of due to their naivety and therefore are truly not giving consent which equates to rape to me."

Jane: YES! Rape and Assualt is possible in virtual worlds, although not as likely to happen as often as in RL. Statistics show that violence against women comes mostly at the hands of someone we know. So Assault is often as much a result or circumstance of emotional manipulation, as it could be a result or circumstance of physical strength overpowering another. In second life no one is really physically stronger, so this element is virtually removed.  However emotionally we possibly might not be that different than our RL selves.  So if we allow ourselves to succumb emotionally, against our will, then it's possible. I mean... lots of people are interested to know what the other is doing on the other end; e.g. "are you touching yourself?"  It's possible that we would feel obligated to do such things if the emotional attachment gets strong enough.  And it's possible we would do it even against our better judgement or free will; especially if we feel there is risk of losing what we are attached to, or if we are otherwise conditioned to think we are inadequate for some reason unless we complied.``

Taran: “So, my hubby and I first came into online gaming for the fantasies.. We wanted to play some out without actually bringing someone into our bedroom... We then came over to SL to live a more "Normal" Avi Life :) But even here we have tried a few things...

In Second Life there is a Hud, Called SIN,,, It is a virtual Reality about that very thing. Being abducted and Raped.. But where you can turn it on and off and control when and HOW you are to be abducted..  . Lol, i didn't last long, because i WAS attacked on what was supposed to be my SAFE ZONE,, At my house with my daughters there. HE then attached something to me that made it very hard to move about. I was VERY lucky to have been brought on by a 14 year vet of the game and he knew how to get me fixed,, the next day i was taken made to get preg and was forced to accept a hud that would make me sick if i didn't receive the abductors cum every 12 hrs,, AGAIN my WONDERFUL friend to the rescue...  That was the end of that...

See with this hud we have choices and even still we weren't REALLY safe... Unconsented  sex is RAPE. Under any form, and even on here, i have talked to women who have been made to feel like trash and told to go kill themselves because they are escorts, and to some of the men they are just trash,, ABUSE and Rape in SL can be and is very real.. I consented for two days  and had horrible experiences,  now consider how i would feel if i hadn't…”

Sarah: Yes, I would consider it virtual sexual assault in those instances if both parties were not in agreement before the scene begins. I have been in a situation where the conversation was not supposed to get physical but the other person forced themselves on me and I did not feel I could just leave because it happened at the club I worked at (adult) and as a member of staff sometimes it felt like there was implied consent even if we didn't consent. Following this particular incident, I was left feeling very violated.

Paul: “I would definitely consider it assault. It is called Consent. Men get really tricky. I've been harassed, and a known person tried to lure me. You should be able to trust somebody, but people have taken advantage. It's happened with me, and people I know. It is an assault if I did not want it or give consent. It's happened where people kissed me and I did not want it. You should be able to trust your friend on a pose, or sofa.

Emotes can be too much sometimes. It can make me or my SL partner feel uncomfortable. It also affects people RL too, RL partners wouldn't like it. It can be considered assault if they've been told to stop and not listened. And further action might need to be taken. Always take care in how you treat people in SL.”

Kelly: While in a virtual world you have the ability to say no and log out at any time. I do believe there are predators out in this world that do and can manipulate a persons mind and heart to a point they feel trapped, confused and afterwards they feel violated much like a real life rape would be.  So YES, I feel it can happen in a virtual world. Those AFK and someone that does that too them as well can feel used and abused.  Has it ever happened to me in SL? Yes I was afk on some furniture at my home and someone came in and was having fun with my Avie.  I was angry at first and of course ejected and banned them etc.  But after I calmed down I did feel a sense of violation.”

Johnny: “Well that is a slippery slope. While the moral side is, no matter virtual or not not getting consent is rape. But is it really happening to you or just your avie? While me personally believe nothing like this virtual or especially in real life should ever happen. There are some arguments against it happening in Virtual world. The person being raped male or female has the ability to shut down their computer thus ending it, or teleporting away. They are not held down or restrained. So in that essence it is not rape but still a violation against them. So to answer your question is it possible? Yes if you allow it and don’t use the means to get away.”

Stephen: “Actually. No.  I do not believe you can be “raped” in SL. This is a world of pixels.  That is it.  Yeah..we all read profiles that say  “Remember:  Behind every Avi is a REAL Person:...well….not always.  Check out any of the “F__K Me, I’m AFK!” sims.  Uhhmm..errrr….so I have heard anyway.  I have never really BEEN to those places...but I wander.  I know there are sims with RLVs and such things where you can initiate a fairly fanciful scene of forced sex, for those who are into that sort of thing…. Yeah..Online bullying can be a problem, especially on social media Web sites...but….come on, man...Rape?

I have to say, I am kinda offended that someone would even try to apply a word like “RAPE” to what can happen to cartoon avis.  Rape is a tremendously horrible crime, that tears human flesh, crushes spirits, and scars people for life in the real. Just ask someone who has experienced that for real. It is one of the WORST crimes possible, and people who perpetrate such horrors in the RL on others should be castrated so they can NEVER again do that to another person.  Rape is one of the most terrifying things a person can experience  with lifelong consequences.  To even suggest that what happens to these cartoon avis is rape?  You’re kidding, right??  Well..that strikes me as  the highest form of disrespect you can show to someone and trivializes those who have been raped and sodomized in real life.  Ask anyone who has been raped for real.   Saying cartoons are raped?  Are you kidding me?

The consensus for this Avie Poll is yes, rape is possible in a virtual world because victims felt a sense of violation. The argument could be that we as second life residents have the ability to log out if we feel threatened or unsafe. However, from the perspective of both males or females who are mentally abused and are scared, it might be hard for them to leave the situation or log out for fear of further threats or abuse by the perpetrator.  Maybe some should reevaluate the reason for logging into SL or avoid venues were there is adult content and sex. Even by taking those precautions, abusive situations can occur.

Some of the experiences shared by participants in SL  happened when they were AFK by a stranger while others were caught off guard by an encounter that did not end well.  Either way, we are taught No means No whether it is in real life or a virtual world.

Stephen’s comment was very strong and shared a point that needs to be seriously addressed.  A virtual sexual assault is NOT the same as a real sexual assault physically, but can cause emotional abuse and that is still considered trauma.

If you feel threatened or in a situation in SL that is not comfortable for you, teleport away or just log off for a while and let the situation defuse. If you are unable to then msg someone and let them know what is going on. This is a situation that should not be taken lightly.

If you or someone you know is a victim of sexual assault or abuse, you are not alone, help is available. Please, do not hesitate to use the resources below.

Lanai's Diary: Entry 4,958- 2020 Can Go F%$@ itself! Do something for your country and Wear a @&%$# mask!

This isn't a politically motivated statement nor is it feeding into the overwhelming news of this pandemic and how it is affecting not only our communities but the world as a whole. If there is one thing that needs to be said it is COMPLACENCY NEEDS TO STOP! Whether you believe it is “just a flu” or the news is "overcooking" the situation and only reporting the worst case scenarios, there is in fact a global pandemic happening right now and people need to take a moment and realize the only way we can try to get this virus under control is to abide by the precautions put into place by our governments and community leaders. Like Tyrone would say....F*ck all that “I can’t breath” shit about wearing masks or the entitled Karens and Davids who feel it is their right not to wear a mask. F *ck You too!

They need to STFU just like I overheard my now ex boss say about me right before the lockdowns when I made it clear in the office that Covid was a serious thing coming and I was worried. 3 days later we were on lockdown for a month and a half. I live in Pennsylvania and the area I am in just reported a 3,000 covid case spike. The highest since the start of the pandemic.

Here we are over 8 months later and people are still catching covid and or dying in record numbers all over the country and the world. As of today,  there are a million cases in Texas alone!

Hundreds of thousands sick or dead and yet people are still being complacent. Wearing masks under their noses, standing at bus stops with no regard for the person next to them who is trying to protect themselves and their families. Others walking around convinced  this is a hoax. Still having gatherings and acting like they are immune.  Of course, people want to get back to living their lives but realize one thing. This is the new normal and will continue to be if we continue on this path of not taking this more seriously.

It is time to wake up and realize we will not fight this pandemic half assed and EVERYONE needs to put an effort into protecting themselves and their families as well as the people they come in contact with if they even give a rats ass about anybody else.

The sooner we can put down the political, entitled and ignorant bullshit and use common sense the sooner we can begin to get back to the things we once loved. I’m sitting here writing this worried because at work, two people tested positive and are out with symptoms and I JUST TESTED POSITIVE! The past couple of days I had a fever, headaches and sweats.  Should I be worried?  All I’m thinking about is my family. Since I was exposed, did I expose them? Could this get bad? I don’t know what to think. All I know is sh*t just got real. At what point do we all realize we are ALL vulnerable and will be for a very long time if we don’t get our sh*t together.

Golfing With the President- Stacey Cardalines Reporting...

The SL Enquirer is in no way a political entity. The boss said "No Politics," and I agree with her. If you decide how to vote based on what an animated sportswriter tells you, you should either reassess your politics or abstain from voting altogether.

Whatever you may think of President Donald Trump, you have to admit that he campaigns hard. This includes campaigning in the virtual world. Donald Trump does indeed walk the halls of SL. Liberals and conservatives would agree that the Presidency is a stressful job, even for an avatar. Even an avatar needs to relax... but I was still very surprised when the Trump Campaign contacted me.

"Stacey Cardalines, Sports Editor for the SL Enquirer?"

"Yes?"

"This is the SL Secret Service. The President needs to relax. He has been sick, and is campaigning hard. We want for him to dial down the intensity for a few hours. The best possible thing for him would be to go golfing with a pretty reporter in an American flag swimsuit. She has to know how to golf. NO POLITICS. We've been through our entire list of people with the necessary security clearance, and you're the best we've got. Angel Manor Golf Club, 7 AM, October 30th."

"Sir, as you know, Stacey Cardalines is very progressive. However, I agree with you that the President could use an off day, and know that Stacey Cardalines is a patriot through and through... other than that born in France stuff, of course. Your terms are accepted."

Angel Manor is a lovely 6 hole golf course. It is a coastal setting, and has an ornate country club on the premises. The holes are very short (maybe 20-50 yards), but it made for good golfing. Extra effort went into a fall foliage setting, always appreciated by someone who ended up in New England in real life.

I arrived at Angel Manor well before 7, went through a near-intimate security check, and at 6:55, a giant helicopter landed and out jumped Donald and Ivanka Trump. Greetings were exchanged ("I love the SL Enquirer. Totally not fake news."), we posed for a picture and we hit the links.

We chatted, mostly about football, as we walked the course. The President was polite to me, although I never allowed him to stand directly behind me. Ivanka, who didn't golf, was there to make sure that the situation didn't devolve into a Borat 2 style scenario. We all got along well enough. Donald is a funny enough fellow, and Ivanka looks like she'd be cool to hit a mall with.

The President is a two-handicap golfer, but the two handicaps are "He carries some extra weight" and "He isn't very talented." The short hands hurt his long game several times that I observed. He does have terrific intensity, which matters in golf more than you'd think it would. He also is an outside-the-box thinker, a useful trait when sizing angles of approach to the hole in question.

But I am a superb golfer, perhaps the best female golfer on SL. I won the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Missters tournament in virtual Augusta, Georgia, and am known in several virtual country clubs as "the French Fury." I got up a few shots on the President, got a stern look from Ivanka, and then had to Act Girly (hitting the ball the wrong way, refusing to enter a sand trap, etc...) for a few holes until the score evened up.

Angel Manor, which is all set up for Autumn and would make a nice walk for non golfers, is a 6 hole course. The President is a busy man, and 6 holes is all he had time for. He shot an 11 on a Par 3 hole, but I shot a 12.

Donald Trump may or may not win on November 3rd, but I made sure he got a win on October 30th.

AVIEPOLL – ADVICE FROM 8+ YEAR RESIDENTS IN SECOND LIFE ON WHAT KEEPS LIFE INTERESTING: JOSH (THOMAS1 BELLIC) REPORTING

OK.  So..You are in a slump.  You find that doing the regular circuit of clubs, night after night, week after week, year after year is becoming a bit repetitive.  Surrounding yourself with the same music...same people…same entertainment.  It is bound to become perhaps a bit “overly familiar”.  Now days, during a worldwide pandemic when your favorite sports teams, outdoor concert venues, movie theaters, and in many places even the familiarity and distraction of the workplace has been replaced by teleworking or worse…disbanded altogether…we may seek to engage with others in one of the only remaining “safe” avenues to do so.  SecondLife.  But after a while, even that can seem a bit tired if you let it.
So, with that thought in mind, I put on my intrepid SL Enquirer tag and hit the road, determined to learn the secrets to longevity here in the Virtual World’s most phenomenal platform – SecondLife.  The folks chatted with have established some serious creds here,  They have seen the best of times, and the worst  times.  They lived thru seeing many of their favorite clubs and venues rise to fame...and then disappear just as swiftly.  Places like Greenies, or Toby;s Blues and other favs were here and gone from our lives.  These folks have seen the advent of Mesh…they flirted with Sansar, and now are dealing with the challenges of Baked on Mesh as this most wonderful, most intriguing of social platforms continues to evolve.

So I set out to learn advice from 8+ year old avies about what keeps SecondLife interesting. The first person I met was Amy.  First rezzed on October 12, 2009, Amy has been here 10 years, 9 months
Josh Bellic (JB):  So tell me Amy.  What do you do to keep SL interesting after all these years?
Aɱɣ (amylee.zane): Well my activities in SL is a very busy schedule. I start my mornings with taking care of my SIM which is a motorcycle riding SIM, Then I am part of the SL Coast Guard and I am kept busy with water patrols for now and whatever they offer. Sometimes I go diving, sometimes sky diving and I just completed a medical first aid training. Then I role play as an Attorney on various SIM's. After a complete day I come to relax in a club like Fogbound, where I love to just unwind at the at the end of  my day, kick back and enjoy the people and music.

As I was perving profiles, the next guy just kinda jumped out at me, as having possibly one of the oldest Avis I have ever seen. This Gentleman prefers to remain anonymous, and requested I identify him only by his initials. DZ was rezzed on 21 November, 2004, and has been a SL resident for 15 years and 8 months.

JB: Greetings Sir.  I am a reporter for the SL Enquirer.  This week we are polling long-term residents of SL and asking about their experiences here. Would you be willing to participate?
DZ:  "Well...honestly...I would prefer to decline....I am not one for publicity...The paparazzi can become quite an invasive experience.  The next thing you know my girlfriend is harassed...then the drones over the backyard...Then when I am out on my yacht...they just pull up.
JB:  I understand. Sir. Although I am sure our readers would enjoy hearing a response from one as senior as yourself.
DZ:  It really has not been so interesting lately. I am just not a very public person. You can blank my name...use my initials…and a shadowed version of a likeness of my face. And, the answer is simple....I find that to keep it interesting I need to want to make it interesting...and to surround myself with interesting people.....The real trick to it is to let your creativity flow and do that in a way that encompasses all the resource here you have available....And, I do not mean by standing around in clubs watching the people dance....You need to create a source of involvement. If you can do that...you can shape everything.

The next person I approached was a gent by the name of OldeSoul Eldemar (oldesoul).  Oldsoul was rezzed on May 19, 2012, and in 8 years, 2 months old.
JB:  Tell me please.  What do you do to keep SL interesting after all these years?
OldeSoul Eldemar:  Do you want a short answer or long?  I joined my RL wife in  SL, while caregiving as a way for us to stay together, thinking it would be much better than phone calls.  It was! It took a little exploring to find my "place" but working with Relay For Life as a Captain and fundraiser is very rewarding,  I have found that working as an event coordinator for events across the grid is a great way to meet folks and discover new worlds.

The next person to answer my question was the lovely Augi (augustlilac.luckstone).  Rezzed on February 4, 2010, Augi has been here for 10 years, 6 months.
Augi:  Can I say that I like having pixel sex with my BF? Can you print that? OK…let me restate “I like how creative some people can be with the animations - especially the adult furniture” How’s that?  I have been here over ten years and in that time I have made some GREAT friends. Some I may never hear from again and others I have had many years. One such friend I have is someone I met the first week
I logged onto sl. We are still friends. I like the fact that I meet people from all over the world. People whom I would never even known existed being thousands of miles away. I occasionally hostess at a club and I model for HUSH magazine.  This is my fantasy world where I come to relax and get away from RL pressure

JB:  Thanks, Augi. And if I may add, your BF is one Lucky Bastard.

BellaRose (belladarkside) hails from Canada.  She was rezzed on October 10, 2011 and has been a resident for 8 years and 9 months.
JB:  Tell me please, Bella.  You have been here for more than 8 years.  What is it that keeps you coming back?
BellaRose (belladarkside): Well, I enjoy listening to good music.  That is my most interesting use of my time, and there is plenty pf good music here.  I am also very curious about the intricacies of avatar design.  I have followed with great interest the evolution to mesh, and now even the new Baked On Mesh – BOM.  I am an artist myself, so I can say absolutely that there are many really GREAT designers here in SL  I am really impressed.  One of the things I often like to do is go to designer-hosted events here.

Our final comments today come from Mr. Austin Welles.   This 13 year, 7 month resident was rezzed on Christmas Day, 2006
JB:  Austin, you have certainly see a lot in your 13+ years here.  What advise could you give to newer residents here who may be getting bored with their SL experience? How would you advise newer residents who are getting bored?
Austin Welles: I try not to take things too seriously. This is a place to imagine and experience. Live the moments of SL.  One never knows what might be around the next corner.
JB:  Anything else?
AW: Oh yes.  You should take a break once in a while
JB: A Break?
AW: Yes…well…like a week here or there.  When you return you will find that the colors are always more vivid and the feelings renewed

So there you have it folks.  Feeling bored?  Then change things up.  Explore a new passion. Develop a new skill.  Live long...Love deeply…Laugh often.  These are the true keys to keeping your SL interesting.  Come to think of it, you might try these same things to kick up your RL as well.

Until next time, this is Josh Bellic…Signing off.  Aloha!
