Reporting Live On The Scene at EGOISME General Hospital- Marriellaanna Resident Reporting...

It had been a quiet night, there was nothing happening, no celebrities being smuggled in through the Hospitals backdoors for rehab, coated head bent low in shame and fear of discovery.  Not so much as a scrape or bump from the general population of SL city. Just another night,  like so many before.

THEN, it came, the sudden shrill of a banshee wail which shredded the peace and composure around me as the vibrant flash of approaching sirens screamed into the stillness,  the vibrant flash of lights illuminating the sky as if I was in the midst of an alien invasion and alerting the world to a crisis of global proportion.

The cries of ‘Medic’ hit the air with a frantic urgency amongst the ensuing onslaught of paramedics, Drs and nurses which suddenly appeared,  throwing open the doors of the Egoisme General Hospital. Their faces were taut with fear and anticipation. It was clear, something desperate was happening as the hordes of medics around me suddenly swung into well-rehearsed and orchestrated practice. Moving like one, each a tiny cog In a machine that instantly functioned as a well oiled mechanism.

The doors to the Egoisme General Hospital flew wide open, the gurney was pulled through in preparation, In the confusion, I struggled to see the face of the woman that lay prone on the hard and shiny plastic surface, screaming with agony, her face contorted, twisted into unrecognisable features, pulled from the ambulance with accelerated speed. Through the blur of movement all around me, I heard the words shouted ‘Lanai Jarrico’ female...and then a pause for the fateful diagnosis - the fateful diagnosis ‘Twinkie overdose’ A doctor carefully lubricated a latex gloved hand, snapping the cuff with a sharp snap, his eyes awash with terror.. “I’m going in..We need to act now or we’ll lose her. Lube me up.”

Pathmaker Campbell-MacGregor is a visionary and somebody who believes in making his dreams come true.

Pathmaker does so through sheer tenacity and hard work and has had a long cherished idea of creating a theatre to put on plays and performances for the audiences of sl.  The end result of this determination and effort and after many months of planning and finally getting together his first rate team, is that he has come up with an incredible show to both titillate, tantalise tease and torment and I was privileged enough to be invited to attend the final rehearsals ahead of the grand opening on Sunday, December 2nd at 10 am.

Aware that Paths shows are somewhat ‘racy’ I posed my first question to him somewhat warily.

Mariella:  Path, What sort of entertainment can people expect when they come to one of your shows?

PATH: When people come to Paramount Playhouse, they'll see tasteful yet erotic performances by beautiful, talented ladies and of course our fabulous male lead, mixed with more light-hearted comedic acts similar to what you'd find in Vaudeville. Our sets are elaborate, the music carefully selected to fit the scenes, the costumes are fabulous and the theatre itself has an intimate 1930's Art Deco feel that is both warm and welcoming. We’ve worked very hard to create an ‘atmosphere’ so that people attending can be immersed in the overall experience. It’s not just ‘another’ show, it’s very professional, classy entertainment and yes, it’s a bit saucy, but that all adds to the fun.

"I got kidney stones? Ain't nobody got time for that!” stated Lanai Jarrico in an exclusive interview with Dr. Potterjones.

According to sources close to the media princess, she has been carrying around a gold mine of nuggets and was recently hit with a double whammy when she was told by her doctor that both kidneys had a stash, and she needed surgery. This was not the kind of stoned Lanai wanted to be as she returned home with her bag of medication, painkillers and an appointment for December 4th.

What could be more romantic I ask you, than a visit to the Zoo? Especially In those early days of tentative courtship where you are trying to work out if your intended is trying to get into your panties or if he is more interested in you and spending time in your company. A visit to the zoo can be the most romantic of occasions and most telling too as my recent date proved. There is something endearing and bonding about holding hands and wandering around lost in love, past incarcerated animals, so if you are searching for the ideal date and want to give him the ideal excuse to protect you from the man eating Tigers,  take him down  to Parktown zoo.

Antonio Galloway..A little bit of the Italian in SL -MarriellaAnna Resident Reporting...

When asked to think of something decidedly Italian, one might be tempted to answer ‘Pizza’ or pasta or even the Catholic Church.

If asked to reel off the most Italian things ‘I’ can think of the first thing would be a plate of meatballs..the second would be Antonio Galloway,  perhaps because they are not entirely dissimilar  for they are both hearty,  heartwarming and throroughly satisfying  to the senses.  Antonio might be an American, but the heart of an Italian beats firmly in his breast. It is that dolce vita attitude, that love of life that comes through with each of his performances, the infectious laugh in the gaps between songs and the telling of a story from his childhood.,  you just KNOW he’s having a good time behind the mic. You just know that here is Pavarotti singing Show tunes.

Spotlight on KARIMA HOISAN By Marriellanna Resident

It was both a sad and joyous occasion when Karima Hoisan agreed to come to perform for us at Irish Estates recently, her first time back in realms for several months.  The elation at seeing her again was tempered with the knowledge of why she had left sl in the first place - to make the long Journey from her rl Costa Rican home to visit a friend in the United States and more poignant still, it was a journey made with the sole purpose of being at the end for a  childhood friend dying from Cancer.

CELEBRATING MOTHERS DAY ON SL -MarriellaAnna resident Reporting...

image borrowed from
Over 70 countries around the world now celebrate their own version of a ‘Mothers day’ and it would seem that Sl too is no exception.

Mothers are important, after all, you only get one and good bad or indifferent all they ask is that you remember them once a year. So, its mother’s day, time for some meticulous planning to prevent the blind panic setting in as you realise you’ve completely forgotten despite the big red circle round May 13th on the calendar and are forced instead to rush to the supermarket to see if you can find an overpriced and wilted bunch of flowers,  ring every restaurant within the next 8 states to see if there is a single seat left left available in any of them or scour every shelf for the last remaining dog eared card and tatty envelope.  Fear no more, this handy guide to mother’s day on sl will leave you well prepared and guilt free.

BREAKFAST IN BED: Start the morning the traditional way by treating your mum/mamma/maman to breakfast in bed. There are a large variety of breakfast items available in sl, and what better way to ingratiate yourself than carefully tromping up the stairs with a laden tray full of assorted goodies. No grubby hands and fear of salmonella or the ensuing mess that you’ll leave behind for your mother to clear up either and everything is beautifully laid out and ready to consume.  Luckily on sl too, nothing ever gets burnt and the toast is always hot.
