NEW YORK, NY and Second Life – October 7, 2014 -- STUDIO 777 (CAPEX: FUN) today reported results for the Third Quarter of 2014, with Shareholder dividends for the month of September increasing 11.87% to L$504,314, and dividends for Q3 totaling L$1,361,993 on revenue of $54,248,888. FUN experienced continuing growth in traffic and revenue in Q3, traditionally a slower period, as well as a challenging phase for the Skill Gaming sector.

SL Newser: Linden Lab to Allow Several Third-Party Exchange Services to Reopen, Podex Still Closed.

May 17- In a partial reversal of it's earlier ban, Linden Lab announced earlier today that they will be allowing Third-Party Linden exchange services after all. But so far, only five of the many exchangers have met their approval. Plus, the services now operate under tighter and more limiting terms and conditions.

In the years I have spent observing the Second Life community the business sector has grown dramatically. Back in 2005, avatars were still a bit wet behind the ears in business. Many premium members produced freebies and corner shops in countless malls or used rental ad boards at different in-world venues. You can still see that today but the difference is, those that are successful, utilize more media sources, social networks and services that offer real perks like a boost in customer traffic and revenues.

Every year on Valentine's Day, the Linden Lab team have held their "Kiss a Linden" event in Second Life. For this one day a year, the Isle of View and Isle of ViewTwo sims would be brought online just for this occasion. These were heart-shaped islands with huge candy hearts, heart lollipops, and kissing booths with Lindens and sometimes resident volunteers. The Teen Grid had it's own event, though it was "Hug a Linden."

Back in 2005 when I rezzed into Second Life©, it was a relatively new frontier for “Noobs” to explore. Many avatars fresh out of beta testing spread out across the grid finding their own creative outlets and building businesses. The fact that there was an in world currency (Lindens) with real monetary value and ability to convert and transfer into electronic banking accounts like PayPal, it became an obsession for many that dreamed of making an actual living in a virtual world.

It is not an impossible goal to have because Second Life did made some Millionaires but it wasn’t without their preexisting knowledge and skills along with the time, patience and persistence to succeed.

I've been in Second Life for almost a year now, and whenever I need money, I just click on the little green money amount on the upper right hand corner of my screen, type in an amount, and hit OK.

VOILA! Money in my account. And with all the clothes and shoes (lots of shoes) I buy on a daily basis, it never dawned on me that maybe this way of buying Lindens didn't work for every SL resident. It also never dawned on me that I would ever want to sell my Lindens (it never seems like I have enough as is) or become an affiliate with a company so that I could make money from people looking to buy and sell Lindens.

And then I met Amanda01 Parx, responsible for marketing and customer service for Xchange4LS.
