Our one and ONLY aim is to raise money for children's Charities through mainly a Live music festival! When you come to our events, you will notice there is only ONE Tip Jar that is rezzed by the Charities themselves! A point we stress is that we have no part of the money that comes and goes through our festivals, we are simply the organization that puts the event together trying to raise the money for the children! Up until now, we have done 4 Together As One (TAO) events. The 1st event was in Christmas 2020, where we raised a total of 520,112 Lindens in a 2 day weekend, supporting Feed a Smile.

The 2nd event was in Easter 2021, we raised 930,000 Lindens in a 3-day event supporting KIKA. The 3rd Event was in Summer 2021, we raised 1,266,000 Lindens in a 3-day event supporting Feed a Smile. The 4th Event was Halloween 2021, we raised 1,262,641 Lindens in a 3-day event supporting KiKA At each TAO event, there is also 'The Market' that hosts many stores from a lot of Creators here in SL. Please have a look around when you can. This time we have a total of 20 stores if you are interested in going Christmas Shopping! Another feature we provide in order to raise money for our cause are Raffles! At each event, you will find the Raffles Area with a lot of interesting things to Bid on. So make sure you get in, have a look, and put your bids in! One of our newest concepts and traditions we have at TAO events are the "Meet & Greet" hourly Events, that occur in the 2 weeks Prior to the Festival that the land is open to the public for shopping, bidding, and Games! At the Meet & Greet, performers from the current TAO Festival will be singing and answering questions to their fans, from their fans. adding a more 'down to earth' and personalized relationship between performer and fan! This Event has a BIG Treasure hunt, that will give a great prize at the end! We have named it "The 12 days of Christmas Hunt" and you can begin at the Christmas Box located at the front of the stage! This parody article is back by popular demand,

Thanksgiving is observed in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Liberia, and Norfolk Island on the fourth Thursday of November. This year it falls on the 23rd day of the month.
The holiday includes a gathering of family and friends for the great feast of the season. Traditionally, tables are laid out like a buffet of turkey, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, gravy and all sorts of other family recipes passed down from generations.

Today, the meal is usually followed by some football, snacks, and beer. The whole day seems to revolve around food and entertaining house guests or house hoppin’ for pickings.
But really... what is Thanksgiving about?

SLE ARCHIVES 2015: Thanksgiving Interview with a Protesting Turkey- Lanai Jarrico Reporting…

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so it is time for another Holiday Mascot Interview. I truly enjoy meeting these characters in Second Life because something unexpected always happens. Last time I interviewed a Thanksgiving mascots, it ended in an argument between a Pilgrim and Indian. This year I decided I would talk to a Turkey about his perspective, so I went to a breedable farm...

Lanai: Excuse me Mr Turkey, my name is Lanai from The SL Enquirer.  Do you have time for an interview?

Turkey: Ugh that newspaper? pfft. Anyway,  My name is Justin and get away from me! I’m not in a very trusting mood this time of year.

Lanai: Hey now!  Relax, Justin. I’m not here to hunt you for my table. I just want to talk to you about Thanksgiving.

Turkey: What’s to talk about? It is not my favorite holiday, neither is Christmas. You humans need to think about making healthier choices that do not involve us.

Lanai: But Turkey is very healthy. It is a valuable source of protein and is a good source of iron, zinc, potassium, and phosphorus in addition to vitamin B6 and niacin, which are both essential for the body's energy production. Don’t make me get all educational about it, but I understand why you’d disagree with sacrificing yourself for us. I just wanted to get your perspective on this holiday.

Turkey: Well from my perspective, it isn’t all about zinc, potassium, vitamin B6 and blah blah blah all that other stuff. It’s all about being choked, feathers being plucked, and having my neckbone shoved up my ass! Then, to finish me off with a golden brown crisp. Doesn’t sound like a whole lot of fun does it?  If it were up to me, I would hunt down humans and stick them in the center of a table for my family to gather around and see how you like it, but we are herbivores. Besides that, you humans eat way too much junk food and would not be healthy to eat, even for a pig!

Lanai:That wasn’t very nice Justin.

Turkey: What’s not nice is the annual roundup of my fellow feathered fowls...Lanai

Lanai: I guess you have a point. So what do you suggest we use as our main staple for Thanksgiving ?

Turkey: If I really had a say. I would suggest that nice stocky Amaretto horse over there! Let me make my case for your brutal holiday.  You can make horse bacon, ribs, scrapple, pony sausage, rump roast, horse shoulder, horse rinds, jerky and  stew. Do I need to go on? Don’t get me started on the breedable dragons and meeroos if you can catch one.

By this time all the Breedable animals gathered around to listen in…

Horse: Hold on a second Justin there is such a thing as turkey bacon just saying!  Remember you have to live here with us so be careful what you tell this nosy reporter.

Meerroos: Wait. What?

Justin the Turkey: I will peck both of your eyeballs out. Mind your own business. The way you both populate Second Life, you outta be the ones hunted!

Horse: Don’t make me come over there Justin.

Meeroos: pfft. *scurries off*

Justin the Turkey: Oh yea ponyboy? I got one thing to say! *points at the horses*  Lady,take your pick. Each one is at least 2,400 pounds of meat!

Lanai: Wooooah. Wait a minute.

Horse: *gives Justin the hoof and gallops off into the stable*

Chicken: Keep me and my chicks out of this conversation. This is the one day of the year that we get a break, so CLUCK OFF!

Justin the Turkey: Easy there feathered friend!  What’s one more day? Let’s not mention Football season and all the damn chicken wings these humans consume.

Lanai: OK, this is getting out of hand.  Let me just clear the air before a riot breaks out on this farm. I am just here to talk about Thanksgiving from a Turkey’s perspective.

Unknown animal in the crowd: You picked the wrong farm lady!

Lanai: Is that so? *smirks*

In the meantime, Justin the Turkey and his flock gets into an argument with the Horses and chickens while Lanai quietly backs out of the barn and starts the turkey deep fryer.

It is clear that an interview with a Turkey was not the best idea, especially on a farm where other disgruntled animals live just awaiting for consumption. However you celebrate Thanksgiving  be thankful for the animals who unwillingly sacrificed themselves for you.

Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in Second Life!

Happy thanksgiving 2021 to you and yours :) Welcome to the 18th annual Macy's Thanksgiving parade tribute in fabulous New York City! 

The parade has won many awards and is the only totally interactive parade in Second Life.  It is approx 1+  hours long and has 103 floats and balloons to date. It runs 24/7 so be sure to come back if you miss any of it and bring your friends :) great photo ops for all

Please remove all unnecessary huds and trackers laggy attachments etc. 

The parade runs down the main route (5th ave)  (if you can't see the balloons (pan your cam up)

To ride the floats and balloons right-click on one and choose to sit or ride -- it has many couples rides also :) any floats with pose balls you can also choose where to sit by hitting on that ball.

Note:  if you are on a float that does not disappear at the end of the ride please stand and get off the ride

The parade is best viewed at midday or noontime 

There is a slight pause from the end to the beginning of the next start of the parade to allow all to see from the beginning and tp friends to join you.

Tips 

The best way to get a great experience riding the floats is to go to the start of the parade and take the 4 1/2 min. Ride to the end, then fly back to the start again or pick another that is already out. The best view of the parade is from the sidewalk at the little shop on the corner.

If your graphics can handle it turn up your draw distance far enough to see the beginning and end of the parade route

• Dance in the romantic gazebo

Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination. His media artworks establish a link between the arts reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. By exploring the concept of art in a nostalgic way, he tries to increase the dynamic between audience and author by objectifying emotions and investigating the duality that develops through different interpretations. His works don’t reference recognizable forms. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. By examining the ambiguity and origination via retakes and variations, he creates intense personal moments masterfully created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer round and round in circles. His works never show the complete structure. This results in the fact that the artist can easily imagine their own interpretation without being hindered by the historical reality. Mya Vespucci a regular player of the game triumphed and overcame her opponents, not folding under pressure but holding her own, as she beat the clock in the penultimate game Bridge of Glass. The other players were close but lost out, allowing Mya to take home the grand cash prize of L$6900.

Mya will now join Emaza. L Villin, cementing herself as a Squid Game Champion. NOW Squid Game Tournament 3 is on the way with players already signing up for the challenge. "Posh on the Beach" begins it's second year on the Grid with live music and a wonderful beach town feel! Fri, Nov 26th

 

Smooth Hammerer, a Second Life resident since 2007 has been coding, scripting, and creating sims for many projects, and his latest creation " Posh Estates" by Hammerhead Studios is a joint venture with his inworld partner and wife Hlaðgerðr Jarnsiða. Smooth is an accomplished coder with a real-life background in Information Technology that he brings to his SL world. He also is a Semi-professional photographer. Hlaðgerðr Jarnsiða, or better known as Lags is Smooth Hammerer's partner and his PA at Posh Estates. She is a professional show dancer with the popular and exciting Debauche troupe and an avid and keen builder, loving to tinker with building and furniture making. A fiery redhead all the way from Scotland who is very proud of her Norse heritage, as her name suggests, and was heavily into Norse RP, where she found her love of building and making within SL. The couple has been together for 6 years and collaborated on a number of projects. The "Posh on the Beach" project is focused on a small beach town with a boardwalk pier and beach club that hosts a number of real-life artists and performers that sing and play a range of popular, jazz and rhythm and blues music. The venue also hosts a number of Dj's and Smooth will often rekindle his college Dj sounds and eclectic blend of music.

Posh often hosts private events such as weddings and group retreats and is a wonderful place to host your holiday or year-end party! There is a club that is accessible through the custom phonebooth teleporters that has a spa and gym and outstanding view with a small dance floor and lounge area to kick back and spend time with that perfect friend or companion. November 21st - SaraMarie Philly and Suzen Juel LIVE at Terry's Sunday Showcase- Nov 21st at 2pm SLT

Join us on Sunday, November 21st beginning at 2pm SLT for Terry's Sunday Showcase, sponsored by the SL Enquirer!  This week's featured artist is the lovely SaraMarie Philly.! Beloved by her many fans, SaraMarie is a music graduate pianist/vocalist who plays a very wide variety of genres. It is not uncommon to hear her perform the #1 song on the Top 40 but then sing a classical opera song causing jaws to drop. Many say she is one of, if not THE best vocalist in SL.

In her original music, SaraMarie just writes what comes to her heart, regardless of what genre it sounds like. She chooses cover songs that have special meaning for her within the lyrics or that connect with her in a musical way.

SaraMarie doesn't really like being pigeon-holed into one genre, which means that at this point in her life she performs a very wide range of musical styles from Classical Opera to R&B, and loves that SL allows her to do that. Her audiences sure seem to like the variation!

Also returning to Terry's this week, our Sunday Showcase continues at 3pm SLT with a special LIVE performance from Suzen Juel, who has entwined and weaved herself into that Tapestry of Talent in Second Life so many Writers and Performers are proud to be a part of.  

Juel has been interviewed for various magazines: Rolling Stone, Wired and is being Broadcast on the Infinite Mind Radio where she also sells her two songs "INTRUSIVE and GIVE ME MERCY"..as well as Indie Spectrum Radio in SL and Radio Paradise.com an Internationally known progressive radio station on the Net!

Suzen is also a painter, and artist as well as a photographer. She was one of the first female musicians in Second life and the first to go down the road of Blues...she brings with her years of talent, experiences, and emotions that embed themselves deep into her songs.

 As a long-time Second Life user, I am always on the lookout for new places to visit, especially now that we are in the midst of the lovely holiday season. We are fortunate to have such talented people from all around the world introducing us to fascinating themed locations created with meticulous attention to detail and realism. Places that provide opportunities for my character growth are always a bonus for me as a roleplayer. With fall here and the holidays approaching, if you're anything like me, you will be looking for places and events to enhance your holiday experiences with a significant other, family, and friends. This article will cover visiting Pour Up Winery & Vineyard, owned by Mach K Disick, as a single or group excursion.

This location caught my eye when scrolling through my Second Life Instagram feed. Pour Up Winery & Vineyard is a one-of-a-kind establishment. The place is quite engaging, and fortunately for us, it is currently free to the public. To begin, I must mention that the scenery is impressive. The landscaping gives real-life winery and vineyard realism as soon as you land. It was clear that the owner's primary purpose was to provide a realistic experience. I value this as someone who enjoys exploring, and I am sure many of you do as well.

 

Horseback rides, ziplines, sip, and paint, are just a few of the activities available at Pour Up Winery & Vineyard. They also added various roleplaying aspects, such as beYou and grape treading, into their activities. If you visit the vineyard, search for the Papi Wine, which is the house brand. If you are feeling fancy, you can also order a customized bottle. 

 

Pour Up Winery & Vineyard also hosts live music and events. This month, I attended a live performance from one of the top second life singers Virgil Flowers and a standup comedy show. Both events were accessible to the general public and featured a bar with finger food and refreshments for attendees to enjoy. It is also possible to book the space for a specific group. A socialite group to which I belong recently held an event there exclusively for our members.

Overall, I loved my time at Pour Up Winery & Vineyard. The location is ideal for date nights, group outings, and photo opportunities. The owner clearly took their time infusing reality into the vineyard to ensure that there was something for everyone to enjoy.

I am looking forward to returning to Pour Up Winery & Vineyard for upcoming events and hope to see you there!

Grand Opening of the Bellisserian Embassy to Corsica on November 19, 2021

 

All Second Life residents are cordially invited to the Grand Opening of the first permanent Bellisserian Embassy to open on the Mainland, the Bellisserian Embassy - Corsica! The opening ceremony, which will include the handing over of the embassy keys by Abnor Mole to the new Hon. Ambassador, Jack Vincent, will take place at 12pm - 1pm SLT and will be followed by a formal ball. The organizers would like for everyone in attendance to dress in formal attire and encourage, although it is not required, to dress as a favorite celebrity (living or not, real or fantasy). Remember to be creative and have fun! The embassy in Corsica opened on the 13th in the Timescape region on the Circuit de Corse highway. His Excellency Jack Vincent has homes in both Bellisseria and Corsica. The embassy in Heterocera is under construction and its location will be announced shortly, together with the date of the formal opening ceremony. So what purpose do the Bellisserian Embassies serve you may ask yourself? These embassies are sanctioned by the Bellisserian Bureau of Bureaucracy, the group that created the popular Bellisserian Passports which introduce residents to interesting parts of the Mainland in a fun way that includes the collecting of unique stamps at each location. These embassies, and the Honorary Ambassadors who serve on their behalf, advocate for Bellisserian residents with the residents of six other continents on the Mainland and also with the residents of the continent which their embassy is located on, creating a community connection between the two. The BBB is currently recruiting Bellisserian Honorary Ambassadors to the Mainland continents of Satori, Nautilus, Gaeta, and Jeogeot. We will be opening embassies on each continent soon, Ambassadors to Corsica, Heterocera and Sansara having already been chosen. The first to open will take place November 19, 2021, on Corsica. Hon. Ambassadors will be organizing official events at least once every two months. This might, for example, include dances, parties and ‘meet & greets’ in the Embassy Function Room, or an accompanied tour of the continent, etc.
