Sci Fi RP in Second Life - Piers Diesel reporting....

In Second Life whatever your interest is you can be sure to find a sim or a  few sims dedicated to it. Sci-fi in Real Life is a topic which once in your life you will either have had a discussion on or have generally chatted about with friends.

Why? Due to the fact it is the unknown and no one person knows how it came about or what life form if any really exists.

In Second Life you will find sims dedicated to creating a RP sim for those of us who would like to re-inact what it would be like to live in deep space or way in the future where life has evolved just like the sci-fi movies.

I will list a few RP sims that are available in Second Life which will enable you to visit and see if this is the kind of RP you are looking for in Second Life.

Dance Queen's Cutie Award Winners for Best in Historic Dance of 2012, Unity Productions is performing their latest play: For Such a Time As This

The story begins like an ancient fairy tale.  A beautiful young woman, minding her own business, finds herself at the center of the story of murder, intrigue, suspicion, jealousy and conspiracy.

After an odd series of events that include the King having a temper tantrum, a beauty pageant, and many women at a world-class spa for a full year, one woman is chosen to be the next queen; this is the ultimate “true’ Cinderella moment.

What happens as a result is an uprising and a downfall you don't want to miss.

Join us to see the story unfold as Unity Productions presents “For Such a Time as This”, performed LIVE at their stage.

How SL Residents Celebrate Halloween- Tea Couturier Reporting...

Halloween is a fun time in real life and there is no reasons why this fun shouldn’t be extended to Second Life.

Many of us celebrate Halloween and here are just a few ways the residents of SL will be observing the holiday. I asked a few residents what they would be and many said visiting they would be haunted houses.

Here are a few of the recommendations SL residents have given me

Avie Poll: What Was Your Funniest Mistake in SL? – Glossom Resident Reporting…

“”Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes”,
-Oscar Wilde

Although Second Life is a place for socialization, experiences and new beginnings, it is also a place for mistakes. The description of mistake is very clear: errors in action. Everyday thousands of people login to SL, and when doing so they are prone to error.  The human propensity to blunder combined with an atmosphere where certain permissions or certain platform tools make it hard not to make a mess, result in embarrassing and funny stories that make Second Life a place to laugh.

After a brief personal hiatus The Frugal Team is at it again and happy to state that Round 3 will began on Oct. 16th.

An Exclusive Look at the Lascivious Velvet Lions- Silky Soulstar Reporting…

I landed at the front entrance to the club, and was greeted with a primal message that immediately stopped me from clicking away that silly blue pop-up box; “Welcome to The Velvet Lion, where the darkness provides cover for our male dancers to hunt their prey.  For all their roaring, growling and ferociousness, are you brave enough to enter the Lions Den of temptation?”  I read the greeting words again …  and … <meowed>.

What’s written can be so much more exotic than what’s seen … that was what I was thinking when I signed up to visit Velvet Lion.  How exciting could it be to see some males take off their clothes and show me their prims?  Haven’t we all seen noobs run recklessly about vast Sim lands with pixel sticks haphazardly stuck on?

SLE’s Masquerade Ball 2013 was a Blast!- Lanai Jarrico Reporting...

Photo taken by Duh Ghost
At 6 pm slt, Guest started to arrive dressed in their most elegant attire, hidden behind a mask. The Phantom of the Opera Theme song playing in the background as SLE’s  Jenna Odisark, Silky Soulstar and Justice Brentley greeted guests and invited them to enter the drawing and sign the guestbook. Festivities kicked off with a very wordy speech by yours truly and a toast.  The curtain was raised and DJ Weebs took over the airwaves with an assortment a music and commentary fitting to the theme. Little did the crowd know they were the first to break in the new Le Chat Noir Venue at the SL Enquirer and they did a great job of it!

It was amazing to look around the Ball and see so many big names, familiar and new faces all in one concentration.  The hosts kept busy tending to the crowd as I got lost in the crowd greeting everyone.  From guessing games to drawings, the venue was full of activity but the best part was being surrounded by so many amazing and creative people. I had a fabulous time and according to the guestbook so did many others!  Thank you all for attending SLE’s Masquerade Ball 2013, I look forward to seeing you again!

Children’s Fashion in SL - Tea Couturier Reporting...

We tend to assume fashion in Second Life(c) is only for adults, but in SL fashion is also available for children and babies. Believe it or not, it is in high demand because we do have a high number of children avatars in the SL community too.

It is important to feature the top deals and children stores in SL for those who have SL children or are SL children themselves.
We are aware of zooby clothing but  there are other stores available out there.

Spotlight On Chest Treasures: The Shopping Mall For Busty Women ©- Orchids Reporting…

Late nineteenth century, the rise of the mail order  catalogs brought a world of goods to a consumer’s doorstep. Years later, shopping and buying would undergo another
metamorphosis.

It became known simply as “the mall.” Historically, its said,  if you put three stores together, people would shop at one store and look at what the other stores have. The mall is an interesting concept which has come a long way. The Chest Treasures is one such place.

The Science Circle in Second life (C) – Stareyes Galaxy Reporting

There are many clubs in Second Life © (SL), and one of the choicest is the Science Circle. It was established by Chantal (nymf.hathaway) as a forum for discussing top-of-the-line science topics using interactivity of SL as the main feature of the framework.

I met Chantal and her second-in-command, Jes (jes.cobalt) at the Science Circle Library, which is a donation from a Russian mathematics professor.

House of Champions Boxing Gym- Piers Diesel Reporting...

Most of us enjoy watching boxing in Real Life and have probably been to a gym to box. So to have one in Second Life to actually not just train but to box and win fights.

Winning a belt is a plus!

Whatever your views are on boxing in Real Life, there are people who enjoy it and for that this has made the House of Champions Boxing Gym one of the top if not best gyms on the grid.

Owned by Jimothy Stratten who has won so many belts and championships himself clearly shows that this is a gym that has an owner who knows what he is doing.

To learn more about Jimothy and HOC an interview was the only thing to do.

A fashion show with a twist - Lacy Muircastle reporting .....

As part of its Community Engagement initiative to embrace the greater Second Life community, Street Whores will be presenting a fashion show extraordinaire as the opening event for the autumn festival on the sim.  The girls will be strutting their stuff on a specially designed runway presenting a range of autumn fashion.

The festival kicks off at 1:30pm SL time on Saturday 12th October with the grand fashion parade. For the past few weeks, the girls have been excitedly preparing and as the climax nears everything is coming together.

Three of SLs’ “up and coming” fashion houses are presenting their autumn lines for this festival, those being Shadys’ Gear, Kennedy’s and Needfull Pixel.

Event coordinator Elvira Avedon said that the festival week will start with the grand fashion show accompanied by a music and social event held in the Club Radiance at Street Whores. She believes there is something for everyone in this event which is aimed at boosting the fun for all SL residents and providing a milestone in the SL year. Elvira and other event organisers have visited some of the SL Fashion week events to get ideas and learn how it’s done. Elvira says this is not a competition with established SL fashion events but a fun take on the scene to spread involvement by all sectors of the SL community.

Nobody Likes Busted Looking Toes: If you have Feet Problems, Do something about it!- Introducing Mesh Feet- Tea Couturier Reporting...

When we buy skin we go for the realistic look. For our face and hands we do the same, however if we look at our feet they can appear unnatural and lack detail as though they were painted on.

So when mesh feet came onto the grid residents were happy that they would be able to show off their toes and feet when they slipped off their shoes. However with so many on the market now it can be daunting if not hard to find the pair that will not only look good but also not cost you a lot of Lindens to create the natural look.

I have comprised a few of the mesh feet that I feel not only look good, but also are a good price for all budgets.

The Story of Miss S.: How She Lost Everything on SL and Won it Back – Stareyes Galaxy Reporting ....

One hears horror stories of people getting the short end of the deal on Second Life™ (SL) many times. You wouldn't think it happens to seasoned SL veterans until you hear of one, especially someone who’s closer to you than just a casual acquaintance. This is the story of “Miss S.” who lost her life savings as well as her firstborn. By prudent record-keeping, she was able to win her assets back, and is now happily reunited with “J,” her baby boy. Here’s how it all happened.

Miss S. says she was looking for a family, a long-time aspiration of hers on SL. She met a gentleman who subsequently changed partners, and became friends with her new “mom”. She in turn had a son whom she introduced to Miss S. They hit off so well that Miss S. and the “son” partnered in August.  Miss S. tells: “We clicked together and he was so sweet person. I heard his voice once or twice, but never heard the mom and the son talking on same moment. We talked on Skype.”
