Disclaimer: I am a columnist, not a critic. That is my cop-out. With the generous support of our Editor, I write about what I like. If I don’t like it, I don’t write about it. So no matter what is said in this column, I loved Avatar Repertory Theater’s (ART) adaptation of Through the Looking Glass, based on the Lewis Carroll classic. I think you should run, not walk, and get your ticket now while there are still tickets to be had for this marvelous production which plays through December 11th for a limited number of performances.

Join SLE for an exclusive encore event as Mankind Tracer performs virtually LIVE for fans at The SL Enquirer Media Center!
Recently finishing up the Peace, Love and Belief V Event, Mankind Tracer can be found, guitar in hand, and ready to energize a crowd with his originals blended perfectly with his voice.
Every artist has their own special sound. Sometimes we can compare them to others more familiar or some are just too unique for comparison. Mankind has such a voice. The power of music is a well known fact and breaks all language barriers. It can get a person to move to the beat and not even realize it. For me music not only makes me want to dance, I enjoy the meaning of his songs. One thing about this rockstar is that he shares his stories with all of us. If you have not experienced a Mankind Tracer concert, I recommend it.

PAICE News: CyberSpace: The New Frontier... Baeric Constantine Reporting...

As with any frontier, there are boom towns, and brawls, and even frontier wars, in an effort to create or maintain a border. One would think that this is the fabric of some western novel, or some western film, but, alas, it is not. It is the story of the Internet, the CyberWest, or, CyberSpace: The New Frontier...
Speaking at DARPA's “Colloquium on Future Directions in Cyber Security,” on November 7, 2011, Regina Dugan stated that DARPA are “...shifting [their] investments to activities that promise more convergence with the threat and that recognize the needs of the Department of Defense...[as]...Malicious cyber attacks are not merely an existential threat to our bits and bytes; they are a real threat to our physical systems, including our military systems. To this end, in the coming years we will focus an increasing portion of our cyber research on the investigation of offensive capabilities to address military-specific needs.”

Zapp is one of those clubs you can see in “Hotspot” ratings. Here you can find pleasure in listening to real life DJs’ streaming for you. It is a place where you can gather with all of your friends, every day if you wanted to.
Do you have a preference for a special genre of music? Here you can hear everything from hard rock to trance, including electro and progressive stuff too. I have been here on several occasions and it is always full of people participating in different contests. Proud owners of Zapp are DJ LeahJane Munro and JaneMay Teardrop. I had the pleasure of talking to LeahJane at the SL Enquirer Media Center last week. She is really very friendly and gave me a lot of interesting information about her club.

Cyber-Security has been of the essence, and too few people understand the necessity for protecting our data, and our machines from the ever escalating cyber-threat.
CyberSecurity... just how secure are we, as a nation and as individuals? This is a question that is discussion with the top ranks of those in security. The Internet is a hotbed for transnational crime, and according to Iain Lobban of GCHQ, the Government’s listening centre, "a significant change has taken place in the modern world where our adversaries employ similar technologies as used by the citizens going about their daily business, so reassuring people that they are being appropriately defended against threats without encroachments on their privacy is very important."
Lobban went on to give some context, "that there are deliberate (malicious) attacks and accidental, cyber techniques have been used to bring pressure on other states, there is theft of intellectual property (such as the theft of Japanese Military Secrets), Cyberspace lowers the bar for entry to the espionage game, both for states and for criminal actors, and that the risks are growing with the Internet, about 60% a year."

I am a lover of creativity and imagination, the ways in which people use these tools to fashion things no one else could. And speaking of fashion, well, we know that I am also a lover of fashions, from dresses to jewelry. When I was asked to talk with the innovative and unique designer Deliziosa Vendetta about Gems & Kisses Fine Jewelry, my heart went all aflutter. Before you even marvel at her jewelry designs, you are greeted with the simple, yet strong, elegant jewelry box design of the store. Needless to say, I emptied my bank account while perusing Gems & Kisses, and was excited to talk to Vendetta about her inspiration, creativity, and Season 1 of Gems & Kisses Royal Miss 2012, which kicks off this month.

Many avatars like to break out their Halloween costumes and run amuck doing pumpkin hunts, costume parties and whatnot. This year I decided I’d hunt for Halloween icons. I originally wanted to interview the headless Horseman but apparently someone sold his horse in one of the breedable black markets and he is now on foot. The headless and horseless horseman eventually made it to our meeting late but his head never showed so we had to cancel...

As you know there are literally hundreds of Sims in SL on various themes. Recently I visited Warm Animation by Lisa Warmanimations, who is the proud owner and designer of these romantic and sexy animations.
I would like to start by telling you that Warm Animations is in an adult zone so you need to set up your access to this area. The entire sim is aimed at letting you and your partner get the best of your love story in SL. Here you can find lots of animations on different themes including romantic dances, cuddling and sex.
I was in touch with Lisa and got some important information to help you create a general idea of what they have to offer.

Hailed by New Zealand's National Radio as the pioneer of a new sound, Jordan's music is a bloodthirsty mix of Celtic rock, Grimms fairytale-eske text and the sounds of steam and iron. Imagine PJ Harvey trapped in the workhouses of old England, with only Nine Inch Nails for company, and you're almost there.
Jordan has had three National Music Award nominations in her home country as well as several commissions by the New Zealand Arts Council. Her musical involvements include the second Lord of the Rings soundtrack, Cafe Del Mar, and a co-written song with BBC UK's Zane
Lowe.
