That's SLife - by Lacy Muircastle ....

Dear Lacy, I have been in Second Life for over two years and have been in the dating scene just as long. Within my time here I must have slept with about 25 guys. As time passes, my interest in sex in SL has faded and doesn’t seem as exciting as it once was. I recently met a great guy that is so much fun to hang out with but he is interested in more. I am afraid if I don’t put out, he will move on. How can I bring back that desire again so that we can have an exciting relationship? Should I just fake SL sex to make him happy?

Struggling with SL sex

Breaking News: Meteor shower hits Kessel sim - Lacy Muircastle reporting ….

There are reports trickling through to the SL Enquirer media centre about a meteor shower that has brought with it an invasion of spider like creatures which appear to be decimating everything in their sight.

Your help is going to be needed to stem the tide, but be warned you need to come armed.  It is reported that the meteor shower is centered on the Kessel sim.

More news to follow as it comes in.

Adventures of Snake VI: Branching Out- Ccoursey Reporting…

Snake was DJ’ing for half the night then I would take over.  Poet was an absolute blessing.  He was already a valued member by logging in, volunteering ideas, and he was a hunter.  Where Snake would DJ and have a crowd of women, I would be surrounded by men and trying to push them the stripper’s way.  Poet was bringing women in, he was running interference and it felt like he was trying to look out for me when Snake would take off.  Snake did take off- often.  It bothers me the women he associated himself with were so quick to be alone with him, I would tell them he was a ‘dog’ and they were all over him.  *Shakes my head*  Poet and I discussed the club and clan, he became a true friend I valued and trusted.  He also was able to bring into clan his first blood doll- ‘Kimber’.

To Bare or not to Bare- Thoughts & A Peek at The Dare2Bare Hunt in SL©- August 1- August 31st- Orchids Zenovka Reports…

Nudity is said to be wrong. What embarrasses us about being nude? Why has nudity has become a perverted concept in a most non-sexy way?

The body has become taboo. We've got so many hang-ups with nudity; Baby photos are getting censored.  Cultural conditioning created the idea that nudity / nudism is sin. The media made nudity a perverted concept. A gown can be classy or indecent in the hands of a wearer.

Classy is being able to wear the skimpiest outfit you have in your closet but you carry it like a lady/gentleman.
Trashy is wearing whatever you find in  the closet , spreading your legs open and sitting waiting for whatever comes your way; drinking from a bottle.

Virtual Worlds Best Practices In Education 2013 Conference 2013-Beyond the Stage- Nomad Aries Reporting…

Over the span of July 24th to July 27th 2013, I attended one of the most eye opening and thought provoking events ever to convene on Second Life©, The Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education 6th Annual Conference. Each day was jam packed with exhibits, presentations, films and festivities. It was difficult to pick a specific event or presentation to attend. Some presentations were so popular that venues were filled to capacity.

Real Music of Life with Aspergers - Interview with Jessi Shadowhawk -Orchids Reports…

A Heart's Cry

Eyes full of tears
That brings me falling
To my knees
Reaching out for help.

Screaming out words
That falls silent
In the dead of light
That sounds absurd.

Following paths
To Unknown ways
Full of mystery wraths
That shakes my display.

Rising up from the ashes
To the morning sun that awaits,
Shining brightly down on my lashes
That hides my beautiful eyes.

The SL Experience through My Friend's Eyes - Shon Charisma reporting...

Every resident of Second Life experiences it differently. It's the beauty of the sluniverse, a vast place full of wonderful, engaging, unique goings on. AND the ability to create the life and space and places you might want to be a part of. My experience has been a fully-lived one that has brought me closer to my faith, that has expanded my family (even into first life), that has helped me recapture my love of video and storytelling, that has educated me on research interests of mine (race, online spaces, and identity), and that has brought me my wonderfully-awesome SL mate (love you, Earth!).

Recently, I snagged a dear friend of mine, Sweetz Fierenza [check her out on Facebook], and talked to her about her experiences in-world. She's been in-world a year longer than me, 4.5 years, and that time has shown that many of the experiences found in-world mirror what's experienced in first life.

Depression And Suicide In SL Part 3- Avoid The Final Solution To A Temporary Problem - Interview with Krissy Sinclair - Orchids Reports…

To be, or not to be: that is the question:-

-William Shakespeare

Second life is a place which surprises me on a daily basis with wondrous Avis doing work that amaze with the resourcefulness. Depression and its sinister companion Suicide is one issue which is difficult to deal with. We had a look at the groups in SL in part 1 of the series. The Survivors of Suicide stood out with its unpretentiousness and honesty.
This is a group for those whose life has been impacted by depression, suicide, attempted suicide themself or have lost someone to suicide. We must break the silence on this epidemic. We offer real life and second life support, education and info. We offer RL resources for recovery and healing.”
I found folks who are fighting a tough battle to overcome their own personal challenges and helping others on the way.

The best fights are the ones fought against the challenges within ourselves.

PR: About Sick Bubblegum Textures and the Woman Behind the Business

Mauve Binders shop "Sick Bubblegum Textures" has been located in lovely Triggerfish for just over 4 years. What is Sick Bubblegum Textures "about" though?

In real life, Mauve's mother was an artist and teacher. Growing up, Mauve was offered opportunities to explore art and music and was encouraged to attend art college. Deciding to take the road less traveled, many years later, Mauve found herself studying in the social work field. In 2007, Mauve finally gave in to a friend and joined SL. It was in this universe where creative freedom took flight.

When entering the work force after graduation in 2008, the need for creative outlet increased. Mauve was working at a secure custody facility for young offenders aged 12-18. Working with kids that had committed very adult crimes can be incredibly stressful and self-care is crucial to prevent burn-out. One night, while watching a Rob Zombie video for "Sick Bubblegum" Mauve was struck by the clothing that he wore, denims with skulls, argyle vest over a striped short-sleeve top; pure rock and roll. It was on that night that Mauve decided to create textures.

In the past 4 years, Sick Bubblegum has evolved and grown. Inspiration for any item is had from music, tv, thoughts, dreams and conversations. Everywhere Mauve looks, she seeks out challenges and inspires to release them as textures. Holding licenses to a variety of creators, Mauve prides herself for creating original works that reach a variety of audiences. There is the standard offering of basic packs of knits, denims, florals and seasonally themed packs but how about "Guerilla Schoolgirl Plaid", "Voodoo dolls", or blood stained? Expecting a baby? check out the aged baby giraffes or prams. Kawaii your style? The list goes on. The store, a newly renovated 2-story factory has multiple sections, each devoted to a specific theme.

Mauve prides herself on creating textures to appeal to every audience and when inside the shop, you are sure to find a texture pack to appeal to every design need and style. Can't find it? Just ask, If she can't create it, she will happily direct you to someone who can meet your needs. Come by and slap the MM board, check out the latest CoLab Creation offering or just browse and say "Hello". Looking forward to seeing you soon!

The weekend of July 12th 2013 was the last weekend of these numerous events. During this time frame a lot have donated and willingly gave their time along with their generosity towards a great and awe inspiring goal.

Hottest Clubs in SL This Summer- Tea Couturier Reporting…

SL has lots of clubs that are hot and happening. However, it can be hard to find the club that is going to be playing the tunes of summer 2013.

Well fear not. I will list a few venue that I have been going to this summer where the crowd is fun and the DJ’s are playing music you want to listen too.
This is in no particular order and is just a few of the clubs in SL that I chose to highlight.

GOL 8/9

Gol 9 is a well-established club that plays multiple genres. Its founder is Dakota Neumann.
Gol has been around for 7 years and plays Dance and House Music, Best Entertainment & Party 24/7, B,Trance, Electro, Progressive, Hip Hop, Techno, Live Djs only.
This club has a good vibe and is open 24/7. There are always people there enjoying the music, so you will never be the only one on the dance floor.
