Easter lands on April 20^th 2014 this year and in Second Life residents have adorned their landscapes with pastel colors, flowers and Easter Decorations.

The SL Enquirer kicked off their festivities by hosting an Easter Egg Decorating Contest. While trying to gather contestants, Lanai had a chance to meet with this year’s infamous cotton-tailed mascot. Word on the street is Lanai has been up to no good with Pedro Cottontail and doing some very un-holiday things. We here at SLE think she has taken things a bit too far and needs an intervention…but none of the staff want to step forward and bring up rehab or counseling.

We understand that Lanai has been having a hard go with holiday mascots and is suffering from some hook up regrets and work exhaustion. At least she does not remember the tryst with Cupid, thanks to wishes to erase that memory were granted by Larry the Leprechaun in March.

I’m knitting for an angel,

A little white cardigan.

Adding short sparkly threads she’ll adore.

You are sitting beside me

Knitting needle’s length apart

Your thumb never leaving the remote.

Intently watching the screen,

Flipping through channels has stopped:

An off-road pickup speeds through the woods.

Its track a rut in the mud,

The image blurred by action;

Someone’s gotta yank the steering wheel.

I see the little angel,

In her new white cardigan,

Running after her first Easter Eggs.

I set my knitting aside,

And look at you in the eyes.

I see the sparkle: Spring has returned.

DJ John played some great music and hosted a Best in Beachwear contest. The crowd was absolutely amazing and filled the beach from beginning to end. SLE is proud to say we reached bronze status within an hour!

We've all lost our pants in the middle of a club... At least once right? Well, it makes me feel better to think so.

There are so many things to keep up with like shirts, shoes, shoe bases, alpha layers, make up, lashes, nails. Ahhhhh!

If you are anything like me then I am sure mesh isn't the easiest concept in the world to grasp. So let's go over a few basics, including the most important rule. Always, Always, Always ADD. When it involves mesh, never wear or you're just asking for trouble. I cannot stress this enough. I know my aussie kept losing his pants when I gave him any kind of drink or candy, so one day he slipped me a coffee and said, “Your turn.” Guess what: I didn't lose my pants. Always add.

One of the great features about Wolf Howls Radio is that he has a jukebox that allows listeners to select music they want to listen to, quick and easily. SLE’s Mikile Vinciolo sat down with DJ Weebs for a lunch date to learn more about him and what he does.

Hello Emerald Crystal golfers! Are you ready for another tournament?

This month we are putting you on your own. For an ENTRY FEE of L$250, You will compete over 18 holes with the other entrants on an individual Basis. We will be paying prize money to the Lowest 5 scores this time around. Everyone must Play with the wind activated.

Play as many rounds as you like in the two-week period and submit Your best score for an 18 hole round.

We had some pretty impressive scores in the Pair of Hearts tournament In February, so we expect to see great competition this month. Of course the score you submit must be for 18 holes in succession, That is, an entire round. It would be nice if we could use the
Best score we shoot on each hole during the two weeks, But that just isn't the way the game is played. :)

The tournament will run from April 7 to April 21.
You can enter by paying the entry fee either to Rafe Holder, Cloe Neiro or LittleOneSusan Teardrop. No score will be accepted or considered for the tournament until After the entry fee has been paid. No entries will be accepted after midnight SLT on April 19.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a virtual world for the general public, one that would not require a cumbersome viewer but that could be accessed through your normal browser software?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could create your own mesh objects and clothing and import all of that free to your inventory, and to be shared? Cloud Party (R. I. P.) was such a utopian platform for virtual world enthusiasts until February, when it was bought by Yahoo, Inc.

I had an account in Cloud Party when it first started about two years ago. I remember going over there and getting excited about learning to build mesh items on Blender, and then importing these over. That joy was short-lived, however, as it became evident that with the hardware at my disposal, mesh creation was out of the question. At that beta stage, avatars in Cloud Party were also very elementary, and although the navigation was not overly difficult, it still had a learning curve. Things got rapidly better, and at its later stages, Cloud Party was a serious contender for content delivery, quality 3-D graphics and art, as well as becoming a platform for socializing in virtual worlds.

Spring fashions this year round still follows a trend, as always, and so do avid patrons of the industry. However, for the majority of individuals, it is more about the freedom of expression through the medium of style and clothing.

The mainstays of fashions seems to be: floral and other fun patterns, pastels, light fabrics that catches hold of the spring breeze and allows for "breathing". There is also the mix of jackets, thin sweaters, and other Fall essentials in spring colours mixed in.

You also include shorts, sandals, and tanks as well to completely shed any items reflective of the winter past.

Speaking to friends and total strangers in Second Life about what spring fashion is, views are varied and personal.

Our 6^th year anniversary week starts on Monday 7^th April, 2014.

The original idea for the Highlands of Scotland were started by Gerald Wylie 7 years ago as an inworld Nessie Hunt Game. However, on 22 March 2008 he decided there was a wee space for a pub. This was set up and on Friday 11^th April 2008 our official opening of The Loch Ness Inn (Nessie’s Nook) was celebrated. We have always used Aldouri Castle for this Second Life Inn although the building has been changed to suit modern day SL.

Although the Sims changed over the years, we have kept the Warm Highland Welcome. Friendly Community Feeling and encourage our friends to feel at home with us. We moved to the new sims on 8^th April 2009 and have been there ever since. The Inn is the perfect ‘local pub’ for most of us and we are looking forward to our full week of celebrations starting on Monday 7^th and ending on Sunday 13^th with our Grand Highland Ball and Anniversary Ceilidh.

The SL Enquirer was invited to a private show teaser for Le Cirque de Nuit along with other media guests on April 4^th and again on April 6at 4 pm SLT for a full showing of the productions. We were absolutely blown away by the creativity. Without sharing too much information, we can tell the production team put their heart and soul into every detail and the sneak peek performance that was created to tease us was spectacular. Most of us were at the edge of our seats wanting more! The full production exceeded our expectations as the audience sat mesmerized by scenes after scene. The music and performances were in perfect harmony.

Yes spring has sprung and there are so many hunts around especially for Easter.

Many SL residents enjoy hunting for treasure. It can be lots of fun. So where do you find the hunts?

You can find them If you click on the search tab in Second Life and check for groups. In the group search, type in hunts and a list will appear. Join these groups and they will send you notices on times and days hunts will start for you to enjoy.

If you are a business and would like to participate in hunts, theses groups will also provide hunt rules once you have been approved and what type of gifts you will have to create.

If you wish to just simply take part in a hunt in a non-business way here are a few hunts which are taking place this April.

We are very happy to introduce to you “Japan Fair 2014”, a Japanese themed charity event.

This event will be from April 5 to April 20, and we will introduce many amazing creators, artists and entertainers, all from Japan, to the rest of the world.

This event is also an official charity event by ShelterBox, an organization that sends aids and supports countries that has suffered from major natural disasters. In 2011, in the midst of the horrible Japan Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami disaster, Japan received tremendous support from all over the world, and we wanted to re-pay this one way or another. ShelterBox was one of many organizations that supported us, that is why we chose this wonderful group to work with for Japan Fair 2014 event.
