What would you say to a large group of people? What message would you
want to spread?
These are a few of the
answers I received by people that didn’t really want to be mentioned.
Why? They said they really had nothing to say or they wouldn’t know what
to say if given the chance. Every day we interact with different, but if
we want a message spread to a large group, what would you say. Would you practice what
you preach in your daily lives as well?

A Quick Guide on What NOT to Wear Once You Have Passed the 2 Month Marker in Second Life- Tea Couturier
Now I am not one to tell people what not to
wear and what to wear in SL, however, I do feel I could help give a few
pointers about what to avoid wearing to not make yourself look like a noob or
one that has not moved along with the fashion times in Second Life.
When you first enter Second Life, your first
point of call is the freebie shops. However, once you are a regular and have
been in SL for over 3 months. I feel it is time for you to start looking at
what you’re wearing and worrying about your appearance. Your appearance can
reflect on you and your social life in SL. Remember, first impressions are
important.

Bullying in Second Life Part 2- Nomad Aries Reporting…
This is the second part of my article on bullying. In part one I discussed the types of bullying you may encounter on Second Life as well as real life.
There are many misconceptions about why some
people turn into bullies. It is often said these are people with low self
esteem and are loners. In studies done on bullying and bullies , this does not
prove to be true. So what makes a bully a bully?
Who is a Bully?
Bullies do not suffer from low self esteem as popularly believed. In a 2001 study (Baumeister) , it was discovered that bullies have extremely high self esteem. Although their esteem is high , it is pathologically high and unstable. If a bully feels slighted or insulted, the ego causes extreme negative feelings which the bully cannot tolerate. According to a later study from the University of South Dakota,( 2012 ), bullies lack function in an area of the brain that deals with moderating mood and emotions. For some reason yet to be discovered, bullies have low to no function of this area of the brain, it is thought that not being properly socialized at an early age prevents this part of the brain from functioning. This causes the bully to lash out at people in defense to preserve their feeling of superiority and control . Bullies have thought processes that differ from most people.

WOW! Round 2 of SL’s Got Talent left
everyone speechless!
The thirteen
amazing performers showed they all have talent last night during Round 2. It was just amazing! The Judges had a tough
job as they collaborated during the event to select the Final Round
contestants. Audience voting occurred
during the two hours following the event.
At the end of the day, the Judges made the decision as we publicized
initially. The contestants receiving the
highest popular votes are as follows:
• The Balladeer
= 48 popular votes
• Ricardo
(rickylivemusic) = 28 popular votes
• KokoIncognito
= 21 popular votes
The judges' selection is based on a scoring process. Each judge keeps his or her individual score
on a scorecard that was provided by the Contest organizers. Those scores are then averaged and
contestants are selected accordingly.
Based on the judges' scoring during Round 2, the following contestants
will move to the FINAL ROUND (in alphabetical order):

BULLYING IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD OF SECOND LIFE Part 1- Nomad Aries Reporting…
It is an unfortunate side of human nature that we are exposed to bullying.
While most of us grow out of this phase as
children, some people remain aggressive in real life and in the virtual world.
It is also a known fact that bullying is a learned trait. Although bullying is
not permitted here a lot of it does go unreported. The reasons for not
reporting bullying may be because there is confusion, fear, shame, doubt and
ignorance regarding what happened. Some people may be unaware they are being
bullied or feel there is no recourse or assistance available to remedy their
situation. In some cases people may simply not know what to do when they run
into a bully.
Have you been bullied by someone on SL? This may be difficult to discern if we are not sure exactly what bullying entails, especially when it applies to the virtual world. In real life, I have run anti-bullying workshops for school children. I found that children were not always aware of exactly what bullying consists of. When it was explained to them they quickly identified situations where they had indeed encountered a bully. I am going to take a similar approach in this article and explain the types of bullying one may experience on Second Life. The examples I present will be taken from actual experiences from some avies on Second Life, including my own personal run-ins with bullies. You may have had similar experiences or you may not have run into bullying yet. I hope you can gain some knowledge on when someone is bullying you and what to do to save yourself from this down side to human nature. I will present a further article on what you can do specifically to stop being bullied on Second Life. In this article I wish to outline the types of bullying and how to identify they type of bullying you may have experienced.

Karaoke Time! - Tea Couturier Reporting...
In real life, karaoke is very popular. We
love to sing to our favorite songs as if we actually are the original singers
of the song and to perform in front of people is just an added bonus.
I was pleased to see that like in real life we
have karaoke in Second Life, we also have lots of venues for this activity. If you like singing and always wanted to have a go at it in real life but could not find the time or
venue in your area, here is a chance for you to try it out!
I have visited a few venues for you to try out. Most of them are 24/7 but if you want an audience the time of day will depend on that.

score than in RL. Featuring a Bowling League on Mondays at 5 PM SLT and
now forming a 10 AM League too on Mondays. He has the lanes set up
for the highest score possible where the speed of your ball does not effect how

Hallo Ian, Thank you for talking to SLE. You have an active interest in helping
people who have depression. We understand this has been a very personal fight
for you. Can you tell us about your struggle?
Ian:
First I want to say that I have been through depression myself. I lost
everything, my marriage, my dream home, my job, my life savings, and very
nearly my life through severe clinical depression. One of the problems of
trying to help someone overcome depression is that we often don't realize what
is happening to us. The average person has no frame of reference to understand
exactly why they are feeling so bad, what often makes things worse is that people
around them don't always understand how to support someone with depression.
The stories of depression are heart-rending. Each is as
unique as the individuals concerned, it is an incredibly personalized
experience.
Of course, some people are not around to give us their
story, and that is perhaps the most tragic loss of all.

September 11th is the 252nd day of
the year (253rd in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 113 days
remaining until the end of the year. But there were some who did not get to see
them.
Remembering
:
The September 9/11 attacks were a series of four
coordinated terrorist attacks upon the United States in New York City and the
Washington, D.C. metropolitan area on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Four
passenger airliners were hijacked by 19 terrorists so they could be flown into
buildings in suicide attacks. Two of those planes, American Airlines Flight 11
and United Airlines Flight 175, were crashed into the North and South towers,
respectively, of the World Trade Center complex in New York City. Within two
hours, both towers collapsed with debris and the resulting fires causing
partial or complete collapse of all other buildings in the WTC complex, as well
as major damage to ten other large surrounding structures. A third plane,
American Airlines Flight 77, was crashed into the Pentagon (the headquarters of
the United States Department of Defense), leading to a partial collapse in its
western side. The fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, was targeted at
Washington, D.C.,[2]
but crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania after its passengers
tried to overcome the hijackers. In total, almost 3,000 people died in the
attacks, including the 227 civilians and 19 hijackers aboard the four planes.
It also was the deadliest incident for firefighters in the history of the
United States.
